95 for the Imperial Grav Attack and Ground Hog. 116 for Genestealer Cult Limo. 117 for the Whirlwind (Rhino conversion). 118 for the Vindicator (Rhino conversion). 119 for the Spartan (Rhino/Land Raider conversion). 120 for the Sabre (Rhino/Land Raider conversion). 128 for the Battlewagon with blitzkannon(battlewagon conversion). 131 for the Gobsmasha type 1 (battlewagon conversion). 132 for the Baneblade. 136 for the scratchbuilt Gobsmasha type 2. These are obviously all from the older series of White Dwarf from the late 1980s and early 1990s. The instructions for the Grav Attack and Ground Hog also appear in the Warhammer 40,000 compendium book.
This brought back sooo many memories from when I started playing 40k! I still have the original Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader rules (hard back edition), and the scratch built terrain and vehicles always inspired me! I made one, it was an Imperial Guard defence bunker (plastic spray deodorant cap, extra armour from an old calculator and 2 lasguns for fire power). Thank you for sharing this with us!
Brilliant, I still have My Baneblade, I only had card from cereal packets as plasticard was way out of my pocket money range. I also made the Sabre, Whirlwind and the vindicator. 👍🏻
Damn, full plasticard recreation and metal castings of the original parts, you really went the extra mile for your Grav Attack Tanks. I ended up kitbashing mine with 40k bits to try and make it a little more official. Something really fun about the design is you can change the profile drastically by just picking a different brand of deodorant.
LOL. Didn't know about the reverse- engineered eldar grav tank. You can do THAT anymore as Eldar Tech is wraithbone which is psychically sung into existence by Eldar Bonesingers. Man. I love looking at the days of Rogue Trader before my time.
I've built them. I used Balsa wood and scrap bits. they work perfectly. We use the original rules for the Leman Russ tank, and Chimera, because that was all we had, except the doomroller was a roll save or die. Best weapon ever conceived.
I don't recall there being specific rules for that tank, it was just one of many scratchbuilt models from the era that appeared in photos. Like the double length Rhino and the titans built from Kenner AT-STs with Scavenger zoids parts on top.
@stephenjdutton i don't remember if there's any official rules for it. But after seeing it, I bought one myself just to convert lol. I have considered tackling the titan made out of the atst and zoid parts
I have that zoid and the legs are far more detailed than those on the Orgus Flyer. I suspect that the original legs were just random parts from the model kit that other parts were taken from and their use as legs was improvised.

@@Iwasthemilkman White Dwarf 136 from April 1991 had the templates and rules for the scratch built Gobsmasha and also basic templates for the other battlewagons. You may be able to find a pdf out there or an second copy of the magazine.
Hey so what white dwarf issues have the instructions because I REALLY wanna make these.

regarding the Baneblade templates, take them as suggestions, they're all scaled wrong to eachother to fit on the page xD
Brilliant

1:28 ALMOST Impossible... I managed to aquire one last year! Fantastic video as always! Happy new year!
Ha! I built a couple of those deodorant tanks (Insignia, if I recall - I can still remember how the advert jingle went!)
Brilliant, I still have My Baneblade, I only had card from cereal packets as plasticard was way out of my pocket money range. I also made the Sabre, Whirlwind and the vindicator. 👍🏻
Wow! That is an impressive collection of scratch built models. Thanks for sharing this as it is a real inspiration. Happy New Year.

Always love a gobsmasha, but yours is particularly nice! I love how you detailed the wheels.

Need to make some of these

Damn, i need those for necromunda ash wastes

Had no idea the Groundhog existed!
The only mention of it I know of was in the article that gave instructions on making it.
refreshingly oldschool
Nice collection. Use a doorstop for the fuselage on that flyer if you want to build another.
amazing collection would love a more in depth video on the juggernaught. Also suprised you don't have the gi joe armadillo tank from white dwarf 110

💪🔥🤘❤️👍
I love the deodorant tank with all my heart.
The flyer legs were from Zoids Saicurtis

Any idea where one could find printable patterns for the battlewagons?
I don't do any 3d printing so I don't know where patterns can be found for specific models.
@stephenjdutton I meant print on to paper or card...I don't do 3D printing.

@@stephenjdutton thanks 👍
No self respecting Eldar would be seen dead flying around in something that drab! Where are the jewels and flouncy bits?!
