@Tolarian Community College This might be your single best video. It’s the type of video I wish was around when I started playing 10 years ago but am also grateful is around now. Going to order some Boulders for Christmas using your link! My Gf got me the PirateLab bag after watching your video and it’s my favorite carrier ever.
I recently went through airport security with two Satin Towers, and there was almost a security issue because the TSA couldn't open them! They eventually did get them open (they wouldn't let me touch them), but I was pleased at how well they stayed shut!
I had a similar issue, as everytime the cards went through the xray machine they stopped me because the cards are so dense they cant see through them with all the foils I had :P
Had a similar issue happen to me last year. TSA was trying to open it upside down and I was trying to explain it to them, then they lifted the dice tray off and dice went absolutely everywhere. They made me pick it all up.
TSA is really just got to be a joke by now. Because really, when was the last time anyone heard any news about them stopping any sort of actual threat?
Funny- similar story but they were reading as these textured long bricks- triggered a security screening with two armed guards. Dude on the right burst out laughing when he realized they were MTG cards.
How are people finding that tool organizer? I see all kinds of stanley boxes except this one with the removable boxes. I have 9 double sleeved commander decks. The one shown in this video would be perfect!
That last item really is a workhorse. I have about ten EDH decks in mine, each in their own cheaper deck box. And a dedicated tray for my commanders in their toploaders w/ enough room for a handful of dice and the 0-99 spindown life counter from the Commander Anthology. It's a beast to carry when fully loaded, but it's solid and carries everything I need to have on the go for the game I love. I love this product to the point that I'm trying to find another one for my nascent Pauper Battle Box.
William Franklin I bought two of them, which had two of the double-sized containers. One of those double-sized slots now holds my full Planechase deck, my Archenemy deck, two dice containers, four Anthology life counters, and four coins. Again, that’s all in ONE of the double-sized bins! I freaking love these things.
@@irregularassassin6380 The 60 card ones would likely fit, but I've found the 100 card deck boxes from ultra pro are slightly too big. I have found the 100 card ultimate guard deck boxes (not the boulders though) do fit very well.

Eh, Dragon Shield has the best sleeves and great binders/pages,, but their deck boxes (while good) are outclassed by Ultimate Guard and Dex, and they don’t offer a carrying case/backpack. Prof didn’t include playmats here but pretty sure he gave Ultra Pro and Ink playmats better grades than DS’s.

I 100% agree that the Stanley case is one of the nicest products I've gotten for Magic. I only could find the 10 compartment one (the one with two double compartments) but that was okay because the larger pockets fit two Boulders in them!
This is a bit of an issue with the product. As far as I can tell they are only made as a 10 compartment version with 8 of the smaller modules that are shown in the video and 2 larger modules. You can order additional modules from Stanley directly as far as I can tell, but I just went ahead and purchased a second 10 compartment and swapped the 2 larger modules from 1 with 4 small ones from the other.
I love how many players are getting the stanley toolkit for their cards, im wondering if its made a notable impact on that item's sales. It would be dope if stanley took notice and partnered with wizards to make an mtg art-laden version

So many of these on this list are items I use myself because of the prof's earlier reviews, and I'm extremely happy with every choice. Helping customers make smart and informed purchasing decisions that they're genuinely happy with is often a time consuming and thankless task but I for one really appreciate the time, effort and quality that prof puts into all of his product review videos.
I started playing commander last year and bought a couple of sleeve boxes from Dragon Shield, they are unbelievable, tough as a tank as prof said, and have, after almost two years of me playing every week, still an amazing shuffle feel, absolutely worth it!
Professor, you're awesome. I just got into MTG EDH and have been researching for quality accessories and this video was answered all of my questions. Good Evening Professor! I would like to thank you for coming to Commander Fest DC. I met you outside the event on Saturday (You commented on my pristine TCC shirt, I hope you remember me!) I would like to thank you for your gracefulness, and accessibility during the event. It seems awkward meeting people in public that you do not know, but you seemed to handle it effortlessly and with aplomb. My only regret is I did not have a Sharpie on me when we met! I assure you, that you were the talk of every table I was fortunate enough to play at. Thank you for your support of the community, and know that we love you! Barry
For me its Eclipse Sleeves, the Ultimate guard side Winder box for commander, ultimate guard flip n tray for boxes that store counters and the dragon hide binder for displaying my portfolio. Glorious recommendations from this very channel.
A++ for the Stanley Bins. I got one, and it serves as my "portable game case". Just toss it in the car, and I've got a game night. 4 commander decks and about a dozen compact games in one easy package (exploding kittens, tiny epic galaxies, sushi go, Fantasy Realms, etc). Easily the best recommendation I've had from you. (second would be the Garage, which I have two of to hold all of my commander decks)
I imagine by "toss" you straight up yeet them into your car. And you totally could and nothing would happen since it's made to be thrown around in a truck bed.
I can't thank you enough for getting me into the ultimate guard boulders and dragon shields! They are the only ones I accept to protect my card. Your reviews have helped me so much and can't express my gratitude. If I find a need I will definitely get the satin towers since there' nothing you love that I haven't agreed with!
I have two Aaron Caine deck boxes and I adore them both. By far the best deck box on the market. I appreciated your recommendation on it several years ago, and I appreciate it now. Style, class and function. -mM
I bought the Stanley tool case after you made your initial video about it and i absolutely love it. I cant imagine using anything else to store my decks in, and i even bought multiple so i can swap out the containers to take just what i need at any moment
The Stanley tool kit brings envy to my friends every time I go to my LGS, it started with just 1 commander deck, now it has 8 decks and growing! I can't thank you enough for the recommendation
I got my 1st satin dark tower from my local game store and after put my 1st cammander deck in it, I fell in love instantly. Out side of just it's function, it just fill right in the hand.
just want to say that the honorable mention of the Stanley tool box is hands down one of my favorite products for deck holding ^^ So nice! great purchase and because i have a "few" decks I will be getting another and do suggest it as well I listen to this man about all of it after testing all the products that he has mentioned as best.... although still haven't purchased a Boulder unfortunately...
I got a stanley toolcase, it had 2 doublewidth boxes with it, which are pretty useful in itself.really good for storing your collection, decks, or just organizing.
I wish WOTC would give the use of their properties to Dragon Shield, Ultra Pro isn't doing it justice. Dragon Shield is my favorite sleeves and Dragonhide binders from Legion are my favorite in that category.
I agree, but I feel it's all bundled together with their deal on playmats, which UltraPro does fine with. I'd be optimistic about a partnership between Dragonshield and WotC though.
I really don't understand the love for Dragonshield sleeves, i have 1 deck sleeves with them and the corners get all bend and stuck in eachother while shuffling. I prefer Ultimate Guards Katana sleeves. Is anybody having the same issues with Dragonshields?
@@Zerenty I have 10 different commander decks sleeved in various Dragon Shield Matte sleeves some i've used almost every Friday for 4years now and none have split or had an issue. I've used other sleeves over the years because i thought maybe a design they had was cool looking but those end up splitting and usually don't last a year, most other companies sleeves just don't stand the durability test in my experience so i use Dragon Shields as they haven't failed me so far.
@@Zerenty Which Dragon Shields are you using? I know that issue has come up for the Dragon Shield "Classic" type. The praise is usually for the Dragon Shield "Matte" ones, which are better. I personally like both. Dragon Shield double sleeved for EDH, but I do drafts with Katanas.
I still use my Stanley's after your video review for them. There is also one that is half as tall that I use for Keyforge. I have one for Ascension, another regular size one for all my extra keyforge decks, and actually had another left over that I use for nails and screws. They are really great. Someone asked me what I did about the nub that is in the bottom of each container, and I didn't even realize they had one until it was pointed out. They said they just ground it down, but it isn't much of an issue. They can even hold a double sleeved commander deck in a single part if you put lay the tokens and commander on top of the deck.
I have the exact satin tower you use in your demonstration (same color even), and after two years of lugging it around in my backpack, traveling across the country, and great use & abuse at any number of events, its held up perfectly with hardly a scratch. It gets my coveted *chef's kiss* award.
Thank you for another great video to go with the myriad of great videos, you've already made. Even though I play less magic these days than I did a few years ago, this channel most definitely still has value and worth to me! Also, I think your picks here are ace (I personally like the Nest for deck boxes, but the satin tower is good too). So, an early merry Christmas from Denmark, and thank you for all the videos and many more to come :)
The Quiver has been great for me, boulders fit perfectly, the 4.5 boogie board fits in the lid mesh, and you can tie the wrist carrying loop around the Ultimate Guard mat tube and clip it to the shoulder strap ring to carry everything you need.
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the Stanley toolbox. I think I got it that toolbox a little over 3 years ago from one of your videos. I primarily play EDH and I have several friends who play, but don't have decks and I love having this thing to take 10 EDH decks to a friends house with dice and tokens. Literally no one else needs to have any of their own cards and I can host two 4-man pods out of my toolbox. I have dropped it and dropped things on it, and despite my immediate concern it was unnecessary as the box looked untouched.
I work construction, I use those Stanley tool kits every day, never thought about using that for my decks, that's pure genius!!! Could have saved some money if I watched this sooner 👍
Just went to home depot and bought a stanley deep pro 10 section case- it is WONDERFUL! I took out a row of compartments and it holds 4 playmats:) even my secret lair drop box fits in a big compartment! Prof, this is a really nice recommendation and i agree with you on its worthiness, only 18$ as well:)
I absolutely love your haircut in this video. You look so nice and professional. It looks really good on you. I absolutely love your thorough reviews and how professional you are. Thank you. I use your advice often.
DeWalt also makes a tool organizer that's quality is amazing. Water resistant and rugged. When i started playing Magic i bought one for my storage needs and i now own 3. They are stackable and will lock together. For the price point of anywhere from 10-15 dollars they have been my go to for home storage.
I struggle to shuffle Dragon Shields for some reason, but if I had an expensive deck, I would absolutely armor them up with those! The matte art shields are stunning, as well - ALMOST as stunning as the prof with this haircut!
I got some ultra pro art sleeves a little while ago because I wanted something with art, I'd only ever bought dragon shield matte sleeves before (which was simply because that's what they sold at my LGS). I wouldn't say I was disappointed or upset with the ultra pro sleeves but the difference in quality was apparent and I won't be buying anything but dragon shield sleeves again. I really like the art and for the specific deck I'm happy with them because I want it to have art sleeves but without question, the dragon shield sleeves are of superior quality.
I personally don't play magic but I know my boyfriend does and I want to be able to get him amazing gears for his collections. Your videos truly helps with providing the right gear. Thank you! He doesn't know that I'm researching ahaha :D
My kit is and probably always will be : Dragon Shield Matte with Dragon Shield Inner, Ultimate Guard Deck Case and a Stanley Fat Max (thank you so much for that recommendation, Professor!!). The Fat Max totally counters the "flimsiness" of the deck cases, since the yellow compartments add extra protection. It also allows me to carry 11 decks + dice, tokens and 2 playmats (1 from UltraPro and 1 from CardMarket) ^^
I like to build all my own stuff, but love seeing other products to get ideas from. Also, I've used Dragon Shield sleeves for awhile now and love them!!!
My favorite non-Magic intended product is the Amazon Basic (Large) DSLR Camera bag. Roughly $25 It's tall enough to hold 2 deck boxes vertically or like 4 horizontally, wide enough for 2 commander boxes, and long enough for 3. Plus it has a flap I use to hold generals or tokens, 3 pockets for cards or sleeves, and a zipper pocket for dice, cards, etc. I generally hold 4 commander decks, 2 Pauper decks, and my mimic chest full of dice and the generals in the main pouch. And I hold basically all of my sleeves in the 3 outer pockets and use the zipper pocket for counters and dice that don't look good in my mimic chest. Best of all, it has 2 loops dedicated for a collapsible camera stand that I use to hold my mat. Other than a binder, it holds every single thing I need and is worth checking out. Comes in orange or gray interior.

Thank you, Professor. Keeping my collection protected has always been excellent since you made these videos many years ago.
There is no better way for me to decide on what products to use for my collection beside these videos, thanks prof!
I absolutely love these videos, I've been watching for a few years now. I share these in my playgroups discord. Thanks for the content and knowledge!!
"there's no 1 item that's the best for every magic player..."
Nah bro, you nailed it with that Stanley box, best MTG case I've ever owned!
I needed some things for my growing Fire Emblem Cipher collection. This video was absolutely perfect for me, thank you very much!
thanks for this update!!! Im in the market for these so i was looking for a updated video. THANKS AGAIN!
just want to say that the honorable mention of the Stanley tool box is hands down one of my favorite products for deck holding ^^ So nice! great purchase and because i have a "few" decks I will be getting another and do suggest it as well I listen to this man about all of it after testing all the products that he has mentioned as best.... although still haven't purchased a Boulder unfortunately...
Thank you for condensing all this info. I was having trouble rewatching all of your videos.
I was literally just hoping the other day you'd do a grand best of video. These are so helpful. Thank you!!
500k subs!!!! All hail the Goat of MTG TH-camrs!!
dragonshield arts's corners and edges get worn out and damaged very easily, i reccomend getting the mattes instead as they do not have this problem.
Thats why he put the mattes first
@@TrueMiz oh my did i not pay attention again
Do you mean Art Mattes, Art Classic, or just Art sleeves in general?
@@themightysunfighter6606 haven't had art classics, so i don't know. with the arts however, definitely.
Honestly hadn’t watched your reviews in awhile but I’m using dragon shield inners, Matt outers, and satin towers. Glad we’re on the same page prof!!
Those Aaron Cain boxes are magnificent! Putting one on my "save to buy" list.
I got a stanley toolcase, it had 2 doublewidth boxes with it, which are pretty useful in itself.really good for storing your collection, decks, or just organizing.
I've wanted a video like this for a long time! Great to know the best of the best at the end of 2019.
Another great video as always Professor.
This channel does have value, as does all of your great advice, thank you. Have a great holiday with your family!
Bayou Boy Entertainment I’d love some mtg art sleeves that were actually playable with, that’d be amazing
Videos from the professor make me happy.
I have the exact satin tower you use in your demonstration (same color even), and after two years of lugging it around in my backpack, traveling across the country, and great use & abuse at any number of events, its held up perfectly with hardly a scratch. It gets my coveted *chef's kiss* award.
The satin tower is just a block of thick plastic, built so simple that it CAN'T break easily.
@@randalica92 'xactly.
"and other standard sized trading card games."
*Stares at Yu-Gi-Oh.
@N. E. r/woosh
that's the joke
I'm pretty sure most of these would also work with Yu-Gi-Oh, except for the sleeves maybe
i mean there are dragon shield for yugioh cards
It'll work, don't worry

Thank you for another great video to go with the myriad of great videos, you've already made. Even though I play less magic these days than I did a few years ago, this channel most definitely still has value and worth to me! Also, I think your picks here are ace (I personally like the Nest for deck boxes, but the satin tower is good too).
So, an early merry Christmas from Denmark, and thank you for all the videos and many more to come :)
This channel has been very helpful and knowledgeable for me starting my journey back into MTG thank you so much Prof! Love all the videos! 🙃😁🙃😁
Great reviews for both the new and the experienced players.
The Quiver has been great for me, boulders fit perfectly, the 4.5 boogie board fits in the lid mesh, and you can tie the wrist carrying loop around the Ultimate Guard mat tube and clip it to the shoulder strap ring to carry everything you need.
Thank you for being part the Quiver Time family, Brian! Not to mention the comment! :)
Aaron Cain made my purple heart cube box many years ago, and I love it. I really like Gamegenic's Stronghold deck boxes for my commander decks.
This is my #1 favorite video of this type.
I work construction, I use those Stanley tool kits every day, never thought about using that for my decks, that's pure genius!!! Could have saved some money if I watched this sooner 👍
Best Magic channel.
Keep it up Professor, perfect video for family members needing that last minute gift idea :)
Seriously, thank you for all that you do for the card playing people. You're the best!
Good picks! I’m still rocking my ultra pro mana themed flip boxes 📦
Thanks for all the great work prof :3 you helped me a lot in the last two years since I came back to magic
As always, these reviews are so amazing to watch. This helps me to know where to throw my money on ❤️
That wooden hand crafted box is amazing!
That last product was mind blowing lol. I'll be getting that.
Your reviews have always been helpful, Prof. Truly, you do the lord of chaos’s work.
Great info. Much needed around holiday season. Thanks!
Thank you Professor.
Yeeees my fav deck box is in here! The boulder is GOAT! 🐐
You are having actually commander decks or decks under 100 cards? And those fit into UG deck case???
@@KingOfBlades27 Yeah, UG makes 100+ card deck cases too. They all fit double sleeved commander decks with a divider included.
I like to build all my own stuff, but love seeing other products to get ideas from. Also, I've used Dragon Shield sleeves for awhile now and love them!!!
My favorite non-Magic intended product is the Amazon Basic (Large) DSLR Camera bag. Roughly $25
It's tall enough to hold 2 deck boxes vertically or like 4 horizontally, wide enough for 2 commander boxes, and long enough for 3.
You're the best! I have been a fan of your videos for aeons now... Thank you for everything :)
Thank you professor, this is just what I needed right now.
