- At launch, Onslaught was a mode with potential, but was so rife with balancing issues that it was almost unplayable. 5 months later, Treyarch released a massive update for the mode, attempting to address the community's issues. I encourage everyone to go to Treyarch's Trello board and leave feedback urging them to keep Onslaught Containment in the game.
But they are. It’s in the private match options.
@@jman72898 For now, but when the time for the mode is up, we don't know if Treyarch will keep Containment in the game or not.
I've heard that for now, containment is available for a longer time due to positive receptions. Hopefully it gets permanent.
Here more than two weeks after the last reply, and it's still a thing.
Seems for even an exclusive mode, Onslaught is winning people over left and right.
I figured it would be gone today and it is as far as I can see, but they added the mystery munitions version which I have to try but could be interesting

@Gabriel Garcia rizzo tweeted that he regrets how mean he got in certain parts of those videos. After he got invited to press releases for WW2 dlc maps, he was finally able to see the devs as people and not a punching bag for him to yell at. I agree tho I miss those reviews.

i'm kind of looking forward to this finally coming to PC. even though im new to this game only in the last couple of months, i only play zombies, so getting to see some of the beautiful MP maps would be great

Onslaught Containment is an absolute treat to play. I’ve noticed some huge bugs though. One is that the surge counter can break and stay the same. Think I paused the game for a few and came back only for it to stay at 127 permanently. Another MUCH BIGGER issue is that there’s this random damage glitch. At some point in most of my games, there seems to be an area that acts like a death barrier and starts to whittle down my health and armor. Has killed me more than once, specially when I use ring of fire during elite rounds and I’m getting hit for 0 reason. Can even happen between surges. Other than that, it’s been a blast playing this mode for the past week or so.

I really feel like the mode is greatly improved! Now you gotta do both Firebase Z and Onslaught XD
My only problem with the mode now is with Containment... the fact the orb doesn't move sorta makes it annoying, as in the higher rounds the next wave starts spawning the second you kill the bosses, and on higher round where they drop better loot, this doesn't even give you a second to pick up chalices or anything it might've dropped, causing you to either go down quick as you're standing there trying to pick stuff up, or lose it all if you run away. Just my experience though.

I have another idea for the fix with the move of the orb, make the zombies spawn while the orb moves, make it like tags final run and gun step, make people panic while they are constantly moving with the environment changing constantly
The rng is still bad. I got to Surge 36 on Satellite with 3 PaP I weapons, purple tier with ammo mod, blue tier with ammo mod, green tier, with Tier 2 armor. Perks I got in order were Mule Kick, Elemental Pop, Quick Revive, Death Perception, Tombstone, Satminup. Then I downed because I couldn’t kill the zombies and got cornered, and the new perks I got were ones that I lost before: Mule Kick, Tombstone, and then got Deadshot Daquiri. After my second down, I got back Deadshot, but then that was it. I kept getting multiple Bronze Chalices per Elite, and never got a Tier 3 armor drop, and the only purple or orange rarity weapons that would drop were pistols, launchers, or snipers. I swear the Cigma and Pellington dropped like 25 times. The Diamotte pistol seems to drop in every game for me too, as does the KSP.
I know there have been further updates to the game mode since this videos release, but for as fun it is, it could be so much better. And with Treyarch scrambling to work on Vanguard, it seems this is the way it’ll stay, and that’s a shame

@@josealcazar2922 cold war is underrated, best guns in the series, best movement & what turns out pretty solid logical Easter eggs plus the wands are epic & I'm so glad Gobbles are gone & that everyone now can get perks, spend points in the late rounds unlike the rest of the series

My only other problem I have with onslaught now is the plague hound spawn rate it's ridiculous. They single handily count for 95% my downs in this update. If they turned them down a bit that'd be nice also I'd like for them to add hell hounds. If the keep updating onslaught with more enemies and tuning that would be amazing hell add the panzer in why not.
Although i am physically incapable of playing onslaught, it makes me happy that it is good now

4:20 if you do this with an insta kill instead of a ring when the mimics spawn you can actually softlock the game with how fast it is

Whenever I do a onslaught containment, I’m often times sitting on pack 2 weapons after 30 surges cause the gold chalice refuses to drop but I get like a million aether tools, it’s a nice challenge but frustrating sometimes

Fr, I rather play containment instead of the normal zombies maps. It's legitimately so fun and you go to high round so fast with a never ending adrenaline (props to sound design).

I know i have just seen this. But it would be nice if zombies spawned while the orb is moving on the multiplayer maps, but have it so the kills do not power up the orb

I don’t like how often elite rounds happen. You get like two minutes of fun but then have to spend a bunch of time just shooting elites. I wish it wasn’t every three rounds. Also I like that it’s not just megatons so I’m not spending a half an hour shooting them. If they spawned less often it would be fine but it’s just boring when it happens so often, and the rewards aren’t always great

When he got hacked after getting his account back I guess he decided to not bring back up that video because he has a dislike to his old persona of being mostly negative for comedic effect. He wanted to be more serious and take a more analytical style to his video, looking at good and bad.
Honestly as much as I miss that video as well, I respect his decision and glad to see him grow

I think that the problem with elites has not to much to do with the enemies and more just with how busted ring of fire is. The amount of time to kill them with and without it at later rounds/surges is night and day, and that applies to megatons to, unless you run out of RoF while it splits, then you are fucked.
