Lyrics:
Centipede
Centipede
Your love
Is like a ragin' fire, oh
You're a snake that's on the loose
The strike is your desire
But when the centipede is hot
You're bound to feel the fire, huh
And when the centipede is hot
You're bound to feel the fire
I feel, oh, yeah
A longin' for your touch
Like you crawled into the bathroom window
To give him all your love, ho
Like a centipede that's hot
The fire is in your touch
Just like a centipede you've got
A lot of lovin' to touch
Don't you know in the quiet of the night
Is when the snake is in the crawlin'
And the moon starts to glow then disappear
When the time is really right
Is when the centipede is crawlin'
You'll be crying in the night so many tears
And you're crawlin' like a centipede
Centipede
You came, oh
To strike him with your touch
Like you crawled into the bathroom window
To bite him with your love
Like a centipede that's hot
The fire is in your touch
Just like a centipede you've got
A lot of lovin' to touch
Don't you know in the quiet of the night
Is when the snake is in the crawlin'
And the moon starts to glow then disappear
When the time is really right
Is when the centipede is crawlin'
You'll be crying in the night so many tears
And you're crawlin' like a centipede
I love how Michael wrote this song for his sister Rebbie. It fits her perfectly, she killed this! Go girl! 🔥

@@willahmena9149 Ya'll ain't lying! I always thought that a video game should've been made of her in them pumps and dress with that walk going down a hallway; looking for a centipede to destroy with that lightning coming out of her hands. Mike loved his big sister.

Y’all don’t think it sounds like “tell me Im not dreaming”
Odd Factoid. My father designed this house. It was at the top of Beverly Hills next door to Frank Sinatra and just above Linda Evans' house. As 12yr old kid, I helped paint every one of of those stair railings, ran through every room a million times getting guys their tools and letting everyone know the lunch truck was there. Ms. Jackson came to shoot the video after we had turned the house back over to the owners. It was very exciting. The large marble box the Tiger jumps on -- A marble and brass inlaid TV cabinet. A big old fashioned 80's TV inside it facing the seating area :)
That is Awesome!! Thank you for sharing that! I can't believe I'm 51 and just now seeing this!
How fickin cool is that bit of info!!!!
One more little bit of info; from the staff that worked there after we had finished. Mrs. Jackson (Katherine, the Matriarch) came to the shoot every day along with Rebbie. And, I was told, in a lovely white fur coat :) . Remember these are Pre-PETA days.

@@gachastudiolover3gachastud92 Lies. Jermaine is special but La Toya is barely a 1.
I’ll have to disagree. They all have talent. Including Latoya. She didn’t get the vocal strength as much as the others. But she is in fact a great dancer.
@@emilysanders4807 Latoya is a Grammy winning songwriter.
1984 was magic, all the Jackson’s were out on a album one way or the other. There was victory with the brothers and you had the sisters with each of there own albums in 1984. They were all on the radio that year.
so they could capitalize on thriller, MJ really should have toured that album solo
The family struck while the griddle was hot, sho nuff!
Proof positive that this was the most talented family in show business. The eldest child whipped out a hit on a whim. This song was big in the 80s. Part of the early Electro/Hip Hop era.
The Debarge family was also a family that was talented
@@withJC We know that they were good. But their success was nowhere near the level of the Jacksons.
@@dandeluxe8731i believe the debarge's could've been just as big as the jacksons! The difference between the two families tho are the Jackson's had their father to keep them grounded! We can say what we want about joseph but he wasn't going for NONE of his kids being addicted to NOTHING, not while they were young anyway when they grew up is when things kinda unraveled but the debarge's heck i think their father was the REASON they began to use drugs in the first place! They didn't have a strong presence like joseph to steer them away from that part of the business! Yeah they had jermaine jackson but shoot jermaine couldn't look out for them like that cause they weren't his kids! That's my opinion on it cause ALL the debarge's were equally as talented!
@@latricecarter5924 That makes plenty of sense.
@@latricecarter5924 The DeBarge family father was a SICK RACIST RAPIST DEMON. I'm not shocked they all became drug addicts. Michael only became an addict bc of the stress of his megastardum and burning his head in 1984, introduced him to painkillers and pills.
Michael Jackson not only did flawless on the background vocals but he was an A-class genius on the beat. After all these years, I had no idea he produced it. He was so ahead of his time with this one.

Benita Hecker it’s actually perfect for the soundtrack I don’t know why they didn’t submit it. It could be an even bigger hit
Benita Hecker right!
It's amazing how Michael Jackson didn't play instruments but could come up with melodies, harmonies, bass lines, chords, and rhythms. I mean he built every element of a track with just his voice, and instructed musicians on how to play what he came up with. GENIUS

LaToya Jackson is probably the least talented Jackson, IMO.
@@MusicnMovieFan725 You know I felt the same way about her talent, until I watched her on the Masked Singer. Michael Jackson and John Barnes did the beat production on this song. I love the melodies, synthesizer use, the drum programming and etc. A pure 1980s jam right here.
I just searched it up it says mj was the sole producer, songwriter, and arranger. But yeah John Barnes also had his hand in this song
It was better for PR reasons to say MJ was solely responsible ...John Barnes was a member of Quincy Jones inner circle and I'm sure that Q was sitting behind the boards at one point because the background vocal arrangements and musical style sounds like what you heard on James Ingram and Patti Austin songs from that time period...not just MJ , this was probably a song that MJ had might have thought about putting on Thriller but he already had enough material!
Another song the king MJ wrote and gave it away to his sister. The Jacksons were a goldmine.
REMARKABLE PINK The song was suppose to be on thriller album, but Michael gave to her.
Razor ruddock No way! This song is about penis, which I’m sure wouldn’t fit the Thriller album.

Who is Martha Wash?
@@vickieheckard - She was the distinctive voice in The Weather Girls, and uncredited lead vocalist for the group C&C Music Factory, and Black Box. She was always getting her vocals stolen - the groups she recorded with used models to lip-sync her part/voice. C+C Music Factory in one case, released their debut single *"Gonna Make You Sweat* (Everybody Dance Now)", featuring Wash's uncredited vocals on the chorus - she sued, won, and was awarded. In Centipede her voice is in the chorus, but more pronounced in the ululation starting from 3:40.

First episode on my channel 😊
It all came at a terrible cost, though, especially to Michael, when he was young.
You better thank Joe Jackson for that, or he might grab his belt! Most of them weren't into it. Joe forced them into it so he could live out his failed career vicariously through them. None of them had any real money when they left home. All the money they earned as kids stayed with Joe and they had to start all over again. When a parent forces you to call him by his first name only, to prevent being acknowledged as a father; just saying, there's a high chance that there's gonna be some emotional and possibly physical scarring in that/those kid's/kids' childhood.

She married young and was content being a wife and raising her children. She was 34 when this, her first record came out. People took notice of this song because it was 1984. Everything MJ and Prince touched at this time blew up, particularly on the US R&B and dance charts. As for her singing the hell out of this song... She has a strong voice but that's Martha Wash (of Two Tons O' Fun, The Weather Girls, Seduction, Black Box, and C+C Music Factory) doing all the hollerin' and growlin' on this song.
Sorry she sing way better than Janet..she got a voice on her..damn Rebbie
Rebbie was the low key Jackson but I loved her!
That's Martha Wash singing at the end.
