    I have this delicious tea every night! Question...why is it necessary to cook it for 8 minutes? Is it a problem using the paste as tea without cooking it? Thank you.

    This looks delicious. I live over an hour from an Asian Food Market store and I just happen to get some of these a few weeks ago. It is basically my Christmas present to go and get all the amazing foods there. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for sharing Korean everything with us. I have a sister that went to South Korea to teach English, when I was young, and she brought back so many interesting things and food methods. We also had refugee families in our small town and I loved to play with the children. The families went through so much but still had smiles on their faces and were so friendly to me. Very good memories. 😊

    Just made some of the paste today - going to make a cup of tea out of it very shortly. The paste tastes fantastic. Thanks for the recipe!

    Wow, one of my favorite kinds of "food projects." You may have to do some prep work upfront but you can collect the dividends for a long time after. I am already anticipating jars of this wonderful tea base in my refrigerator and freezer. Thank you once again for your effort to make these wonderful videos and all the food sprinkled with a dose of love.

    • @ModernPepper
      @ModernPepper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, straight out of the bag. If presoaking was required for this recipe, I would have definitely included that in the instruction. Thanks for making this tea with me!

    I made this yesterday but find that the ginger was too much for me and completely took over the take of the jujube. It’s still good but my next batch I will put much less or leave it out 😀

    This video was perfection, a straight ten out of ten. You covered EVERYTHING pertinent to the basic topic at hand. Love your production, graphics, editing...great teacher and wonderful 'extra' information. I always appreciate you telling how how long something lasts in the fridge after making, whether it's suitable for freezing, other ways to use a creation and so forth. I've never bought jujubes but the information in this video has changed my next shopping list, that's for sure. Exciting. It's the little things in life, it really is. 🍵🫖

      @@ModernPepper I finally made this tea shortly after posting my comment above-- absolutely delicious. Since my first attempt I've augmented it for the winter season here in England; I press local apples and use apple juice instead of water in a small saucepan, adding the jujube ginger paste with a shake of cinnamon, and then just as it simmers, I remove it and pour it through a fine sieve straight into a warmed teapot. It's the healthiest, alcohol free version of mulled wine/mulled cider EVER. Thank you so much for giving me a secret recipe nobody I know would EVER guess whilst sipping in appreciation. Ha! Yum. 😋✌
