I don’t know.. But for me this was Kz’s best performance on the show. Maybe because it’s too emotional and you can really feel her heart out. Second for me is Royals and thirdly the Rolling in the Deep

This is a farewell song by KZ thus it was really emotionally felt amongst all of her performances.. this is simply stating: “see who you kicked out of the competition now”.. after her departure, alot already discontinued watching the competition
I love this but I'm leaning more to the Chinese song she sang, The Hurt You Never Knew, for the best spot. The main reason is, even without knowing what the lyrics are, people will definitely feel what she's trying to convey. There were no extra vocal acrobats, only pure emotions. While, Say Something is already stapled in most of us as an emotional song since it is a mainstream music. We already know the meaning and there is the nostalgia feels, so our emotions whenever we hear it are automatically set.

I love everything KZ and Makoy Portado (his guitarist friend) did in this arrangement. All those adlibs at the end are still impactful even after the Nth time of watching this performance.

Kz was so good during her audition in X factor Philippines and became the champion . She has a unique style .
The way KZ sang these phrases “I couldn’t get, I couldn’t get to you..” really depicted her emotions of yearnings and desperation of a person that was in sorrow and apologetic. An artist who could make her audience feel that emotions are uncommon and talented. You are a truly a gem KZ!

He's Makoy's KC Tandingan guitarist and her friend. Kc requested to perform with her. So Makoy flew to China immediately to play guitar for KC. ❤️🇵🇭

Definately value your viewpoint but I loved the ending. The "scatting" and her "ad libs" at the end punctuate that KZ style. This is why we adore her so much: She's creative, unique and just flat out "different" from all other artists.

after the line " for youuu" she continued with an arrangement that is simlar to traditional Chinese humming which btw loved by the chinese audience same as her intro got that feelin' humming atmosphere

The part you didn't like was my favorite part. Removing it and ending the song there would have been a terrible choice. KZ is a master of non-verbal communication, just using sounded notes and tones to connect emotionally. I'm glad she did that here.

You said that KZ was really into the song..that she’s feeling it…..oh i believe you coz i felt it too..
But fun tidbit, during the rehearsals she’s having a major problem of NOT connecting with the song…..she’s NOT feeling it all…coz of the stress she’s having……if i remember it correctly the show made some sudden changes and they’ll do the changes on that same show date….she changed the song she’s prepared to this song, and so she wasn’t rehearsing for this….she was in a panic. …..she asked if the show will let her get her own personal guitarist from the Philippines (yep that’s him), they agreed!! And so in a very short amount of time she called the guitarist to hop on a plane and come over to China coz they’ll perform together!!
As expected, the guitarist was shocked and thought it’s all a joke but then all the papers were taken care of….he got his ticket….guitar and bags on, he hopped on the plane….landed in a foreign country, knows zero mandarin, looked for the guy who’ll pick him up….and the rest is history.
Fyi for those who doesn’t know yet..

Totally disagree re ending the song where you wanted coz then we wouldn't have heard the very haunting, heavenly, and angelic part that for me is the best part of the song. Their rendition of this already very emotional song, that they made even more emotional, was perfect in every which way for me personally. You could almost feel her intense emotions oozing and vibrating out from the screen. I don't know how many times I've watched and listened to this video, but every single time tears would automatically just flow uncontrollably. The abrupt ending is akin to some movies that kinda leave you hanging and wanting for more, but it probably was good here as the audience was put into emotional overload as it was. Just my two cents. ;)
My ending to me was not leaving for more, in fact it ended on a tonic which definitely doesn't leave you hanging. Anyway, personal preference :)
For me the ending evokes unable to breathe pain,speechless to go on and an indescribable numbness about what to do next just my personal feelings of this beautiful rendition that always makes me cry and I’ve watched this hundreds of times as it encapsulates my past heartbreak. Love love kz

There were a lot of melodic changes to the song, not just rhythmic or added syllables. She really and truly made the song her own. And I disagree with where you said she should end it, but that’s your preference.

You have to react to her rendition of a chinese medley, all in Mandarin on episode 6 of the said competition, song translation is ' The Hurts You Never Knew'. It will definitely touch your heart.
