KZ TANDINGAN's Mandarin pronunciations in this song are as good as native Chinese speakers.
And thats how you should do it when you join international competitions hosted by a foreign country. Even though you speak non of their language you can try to atleast learn it at best before singing a local song. People thought she spoke their dialect but the truth is she had it translated and even learned the proper way to pronounce it. Dedication and hardwork is the 🗝️

I was wondering if her pronunciation was actually decent, if not good. She really must’ve worked hard. Since the Chinese languages are all tonal, it’s kind of difficult to get right. But damn, she did it live and as beginner too! Major props to her hard work and respect to the country she visited

Honestly even if i can't understand due to the language barrier the emotions invested in the song is powerful enough to make me tear up.
The true essence of a song is not by what language is used when it's sung but by how the singer delivers the correct emotion towards the audience and for that i am very proud of kz not just because of her beautiful voice but by how she can express the right emotions required by the song

I don’t understand the literal meaning of the song but i do understand the feeling it wants you to feel. It made me want to breakdown and cry even if I’m not feeling sad before listening to it. I can tell that this song is conveying a great amount of pain. Having said that, this applies to every song out there that is different from our native language. Not just because you don’t understand the words, doesn’t mean that it can’t reach your emotions.This is the power of music. It transcends language. It’s supposed to make you feel something just by listening to the melody, the mood of the song, the emotions of the singer while singing, and more. Listen with your heart and not just with your ears. Teka anong pinaglalaban ko? 😂 But kudos to KZ. She’s fantastic and she did really great on relaying the emotions of the song. 👏👏👏
