Have to get you a couple of flat dolly's. Wont have to carry the tanks at all. Just take them off the stands and put them on the dolly's. Now obviously you have to go thru this the 1st time around but the next time you'll be more prepared 👌🏾. I've had to move my aquariums and set up new large aquariums the last couple of years so yea I got a little smarter each time. That plus the im cool with the guys at a few of the local fish stores. They always help out. Good job moving, maintaining the fish and bacteria 🙌🏿
That was the original plan but the entry way isn’t flat and had garden stones we had step over constantly. Wheels weren’t going to work. Although they could have helped from old house to truck as that was pretty flat. Glad you enjoyed the video! 😁

Respect on the move. My greatest fear/challenge is moving a big 150g+ tank. Especially up or down stairs!!! Praise God you didn't have to deal with that. Narrow walkways are killers. However...450g tank...boom!!! Really looking forward to the delivery and set up video. You earned it Kev.

Bro I swear you never forget the anguish n pain related to fish tank moving. I bought a 120 gallon from NJ, moved it to bronx, moved it to MI and now moving again. My body remembers every single detail. I ask myself why i do it, then I look at my tank and the serenity that comes from looking at them swim around and that feeling of accomplishment makes it all worth it. Congratulations on ur new home. Have you seen the studies that people have done that show that prime absolutely does not detoxify ammonia? I found it pretty interesting, multiple tests were done all showing that it does not “bind” the ammonia. And seachem correspondents have said many inconsistencies in how prime works. But it is a good water conditioner!
Nope, never seen that. But what I do know is that I’ve had multiple fish in uncycled tanks and they did just fine while dosing with prime, including a Stingray in an uncycled, unfiltered, 20 gallon quarantine tank.

That is one thing about an aquarium, when you set it up you look at it and say NOPE IM NEVER MOVING THAT. Then you have to move it ….. 😂😂😂😂😂 fml. Good thing everyone and the fish got through that without injury! I would have padded the tanks and moved them with a dolly . Also you could have set up a temporary suspension system with some pulleys to lift the tank by yourself and lower it onto the stand . A lot more work but it still can be done by one person with those tank sizes! I wish you and your family well and enjoy your new home bro!

Very nice Kevin! I see you like what I like as substrate, Black Diamond blasting sand. I get the coarser stuff in the black bag. The finer sand is too sharp and could cause micro abrasions to the fish or me. The new place looks awesome!!! CONGRATS!

if you ever have to move again, while your at home depot grabbing the truck get some 2x4 to put under the tank so you can get your hands under right away, just had to do it last week with my 180 gallon

I had a 55-gallon acrylic tank with African cichlids. I had to give them back to the store. I bought them from😫 my new place. I was staying at I couldn't have my tank. Watching you move brought back those memories. I just set up my 45-gallon breeder tank with a Fluval 306 for my Mbuna Cichlids. I'm just purchased a 150-gallon tank with Starfire glass and 50-gallon sump for my African Peacocks. This is my dream tank!! Can't wait to get it up and running. 👍

I have a 210g tank and I couldn’t even get it to budge on the floor of the van. Wouldn’t slide at all. I was taken away with how heavy it was cuz moving my 125s are a breeze. So I def can understand the struggles moving those beasts!

Homie slit his pants lol i had a 180 gallon tank “glass” and moving it about 50 feet with 2 guys was heavy!! That 210 you guys handled very well. Btw im only about 155 lbs. 👍 its crazy how far you have came bro i will always be a supporter love your channel big dawg. The peacocks and haps are my thing 👌

After testing my water from getting my new kit from the affiliate shop, all my levels are good except the nitrite was a little off. I don't know if I should add anything or wait a couple more days . I'll likely go ahead and do a water change . This is on my 150 gallon African cichlid tank. I have 32 cichlids in this tank currently .
@@brittanyschumate1375 If you’re still reading nitrites don’t water change yet. Dose with Prime to detoxify but you want to leave the nitrite in the tank, it’s your bacteria’s food source. Let them eat! 😁

To be honest a woman like myself 5'7 180lb I was able to transport a 125g in and out and up 2 stories with the help of my partner.
I feel your pain but honestly the tanks isn't heavy, it's all the gunk, sand, and some of the equipment left inside.

You must be a strong woman because I can deadlift over 400lbs and they were heavy for me!

What I like to do when ever I move my tank is put it on a 4whlr and roll it to wherever I need to a lot easier on the legs and arms. love the new fish and the tanks look great as ever.

But you should abstain from lifting such weights in future as we are not the ones who lift such heavy things on a daily basis so if something goes wrong it will have an adverse effect on our body parts. Hey Kev I can assure you that the suction cups with the handles work awesome it is a little easier to carry but dead weight is dead weight but at least your hands don’t feel like there going to break while carrying it I moved my 540 gallon tank to my basement it was a god send as far as moving that 210 believe me my bro I know how nice it is for those breaks unless you have moved a tank that large in that situation people won’t really know what your talking about lol I sympathize with you I’m glad everything well with 0 losses and the cave and tanks look awesome looking forward for part 3 LETS GGGOOO👏👏👏💪💪💪👍👍👍

@@KaveManAquatics nice to be honest I hate my sump im ditching it and installing a pool sand filter I have a custom aquariums seamless sump and it’s horrible for monster fish I have 3 aros a red tail tiger shovel nose hybrid and a azul peacock bass there waste is heavy and doesn’t ever make it to the overflows just food for thought my brother
@@KaveManAquatics my 540 is 96”x48”x30” I kinda regret having such a wide tank it’s hard working on especially gravel vacuuming the whole bottom because it’s pretty deep but the aros need the room to turn I think you got the perfect dimensions bro can’t wait to see what the kavman does with it💪I also slapped an fx6 on it to do gravel vac and polish with chemical filtering
Love that you mentioned that you can add a little more of prime and stress guard. Most people I know say that it’s bad for them.
