      You could use wider horizontal boards and then they could cover the hanging lights and you could keep the middle braces on. Which maybe needed for larger tanks.

    Great video, thanks for sharing your build! One thing I learned while building mine is that you will want to make your PVC into a loop instead of dead-ending on both ends. Otherwise, you won't have even pressure on all the lines because the ones further away will have lower pressure. Then, when you make adjustments to one line, it will affect the others and you will be endlessly adjusting all the lines each time you add or adjust a line.

    • @AQUAPROS

      Interestinggggg, ill consider that if it ends up being too annoying to adjust, thanks!

    Don't forget to install a pressure relief valve on your pvc pipe to save your pump from back pressure it'll allow your air pump to live a lot longer! and also using an airstone in your sponge filter makes smaller bubbles to help get rid of the blub blub sound of bubbles

    It might be worthwhile to get some little inline drip irrigation ball valves so you could add them closer to the tank and find tune the airline strength. In the 1/4" drip line we use the same tubing as sponge tanks.

  • @creedmooraquatics
    @creedmooraquatics 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Every time you add another air line you'll be reducing the pressure on all the other lines. I imagine once you get the fish room fully built out with all your lines in you'll find the valves aren't quite so temperamental. 5 nano sponge filters on such a large linear piston pump is a little bit overkill!

    Thats going to be really hard on your air pump as well as getting the tanks adjusted, that pump is producing more air than you are using its going to build up pressure in the pipe thus increasing the pressure and the flow into the tanks and worst case scenerio there will be too much pressure for the pump to continue. you want to add a valve that isnt hooked up to anything that you can open to bleed of the unused air. then you want to open the valves to the tank all the way and turn down the flow to the tanks by opening the empty valve.

    Those valves have a very tiny line between on and off, it's the same on the multi valve metal manifolds. I did a small pvc system and it wasn't working so I ordered three 4 valve metal manifolds off Amazon and it works so much nicer. I'm running 11 tanks on a pump small than the 1 you have. I'll add I do wish the pump was a little stronger.

    you can can make a few holes in the cap sealing the bvc pipes, to reduce the air pressure inside.

    Couple issues . For your first rack you used thin plywood because it was $90 for 3/4", but 3 48" coop lights are $175( not 150 as you mention in the video) So you opted to go weak on structure over $70 but justify over $500 for lights, when you could spend $ 180 on equal quality or better lights. And changing lights takes 3 zip ties vs. breaking down every shelf to change plywood. I would convert to the new sponge filter 90 spouts,those are really great, but I don't think they are quieter.

    I don't know if an inline or tankless water heater system would work with what your doing, but I believe you only need a water source and then have a hot water out, so maybe something to look into. and you MAY have paid too much money for those stands, but if it buys peace of mind and looks nice, than I'd say you didn't. wood is never perfect, its always a little funny due to moisture and warping, but its no worry. as it sits and acclimates to your environment the wood will condition and stay down. you bought the right stuff though, you can honestly go as thin as you want since it's really only serving as a mounting surface, the stability comes with the rack. oh, and its PEX plumbing. nice job for winging it! lol
