- You come with me to collect the Abarth 595 from Proalfa after the power motive valved exhaust has been installed and i get the 250 bhp abarth back to me after 8 days without it! The sounds from the powermotive exhaust now fitted to the abarth 500 sounds incredible! In the video you will also see the abarth 500 accelerations and sounds from the power motive. The one thing i cant believe is how quiet the exhaust is when the valve is shut. But when the valve is opened it goes back into loud mode! I love my power motive exhaust and gives me the best of both and definitely suits the characteristics of the 250 bhp abarth 500!

mate that exhaust is so brilliant...you are right about the valvetronic system...its the best choice for a daily tuned car...love the sound when the valves are open and it feels good that your can is healthy now

Typical Italian default mode is valve open, because it sounds good 😁 I love mine for all of the reasons you mentioned and the valve is reliable. Has mine 2 years without issue. Good choice
+bl4desman haha yep! :) valve is open 99% of the time lol! Only close it on a motorway when I have people in the car and on a cold start if it's early in the morn!

Nice vid on the Power Motive VE. I've enjoyed all of your other vids too. I found this one particularly relevant, because I've often thought that, though I love my Abarth's exhaust note, some people (including at LEAST one driver of an unmarked Police Tahoe) have found it to be...ummmm...aggressive(?), and they can get a bit unnecessarily hostile/adversarial after getting get passed under open throttle, especially when it's a temperate day and they have their windows open. Cops like to "investigate" and everyone else seems to want to race (especially, in my experience, HONDA drivers, of ANY model, for some unknown reason), and I'm never up for the former, and sometimes not inclined to the latter. So, sometimes it would be nice to be able to just sort of, "fly under the radar," as it were.

I'm picking up a 2019 595 Comp 70 next weekend. I love everything about the car except the way the Monza looks. As good as it sounds I'm pretty sure I'll be swapping it to either Akrapovic or Power Motive after seeing this video. I prefer the round tailpipes finish. Just cant decide which? Great video as usual. 👍

You have made the right choice in terms of form from the exhaust, i think. For me it can´t be loud enough and my neighbors do not care me. The four endings of the monza, i never liked it because it doesn´t fit in the bumper, but the sound and the loudness i found overwhelming for a serial exhaust.

it sounds wicked stef, I've got a similar set up, i was advised to have a ragazzon remote valved centre straight section to replace the standard to better match the novitec challenge corse straight through racing exhaust which I have on mine, this sounds very similar to the bombadone system, i think it sounds way, way better all round than the standard abarth system, my remote valve / flap is always open as is my drivers door window so i can hear all the pops and splutters when deacelerating down through the gears and it gives that awesome all round resonating howl when the revs build, the best way to describe is that it has the sound is the of a mini masarati at a fraction of the price! 👍

Great exhaust, what a sound!! I'm also thinking about the Powermotive. I understood you only have the backbox? Is this connected with the original midpipe? And do you have a downpipe with or without cat or also the original downpipe (I believe 50mm?) What diameter is your Powermotive backbox? 60, 63, 50? Love the gurlgles and cracks. Sorry for my English. Do you have a list of all the latest mods you have installed? The Abarth in the video of Powermotive doesn't sound spectaculair but with your car it does. Probably due to other mods you have?? Or maybe because you only have the backbox?
+René van Buuren thanks mate, it will be the mods, mainly the decat, big turbo, being a Euro 5 aswell it tends to run rich. Also it has a 200cell in the centre section. :)
How would You compare the Exhaust with the Akrapovic from the Rivale 695 or the ESSESSE...???

Hi Stef never even looked at a 500 Abarth until stumbling onto your channel a month ago and now I find myself with a 10:45 appointment tomorrow at the local fiat dealership 😂 these awesome cars reminds me of my Renault 5GT turbo from back in the day ! I really want this exhaust so bad. Even before I seen the video on your buddy's grey abarth. I have a cop as my neighbor and I want this exhaust just so he doesn't have to hear mine every morning an late at night. I would definitely like to know how much this cost if you don't mind sharing. I live in the us so if you could figure out my price I'd appreciate it a lot. Btw you car is simple clean and well put together.

My Mrs has a Twinair. Not sure of any exhausts for them. Never heard on work an exhaust so would be keen too. Doubt the Abarth exhausts fit. May need to go custom

It would probably be very helpful to find out what the actual issue was with the blue smoke and let everybody know so they know what to look for if they have the same issue.
+Klasse Act we believe it was linked to crank case pressure and the pcv valve spitting oil back into the turbo inlet. I now haha removed the pcv valve and vent it to the atmosphere and it's been fine since. Turbo also had uprated seals put in too I believe

Do you know how for you can go in terms of tuning the Horsepower without changing the Turbo ?
Saving money to buy a Abarth ( my favorite car and don't want some other car ). My parents own a Fiat 500 69HP, which is terrible slow for me.
Rather own a Abarth 500 that has 160HP then a 500 with 69hp.
Reason i'm asking this, is because i'm gonna tune mine almost right after i got one.
Test driven in the 160HP 595 and it drives great and had a pop from the exhaust.
+daand12 if you get a 160bhp one you can tune to around 190bhp if it has the IHI turbo, if you get a 180 comp with the Garrett you can tune to about 225-230bhp on that turbo. Above that you need a TD04 turbo or something bigger to get you to the 250 mark be in all honesty for our cars 220bhp is plenty and will destroy lots of things as it's so light

+EAP I think with the valve open it's similar but I think the bonbadone is louder, not by much as with the valve open the back box is pretty much a straight pipe from the cat back
hi Stef AB ... I know it's year 2021 lol 😂 but please help me 🥺 I have a Magnetti Marelli Bombardone 2.0 and since 2,5 yrs I am running this on my MY2018 595 Turismo... but I am afraid if police stops me because of the exhaust.
I am absolutely sure that you have at least once heard personally, in live a Bombardone and also this PowerMotive... how would you describe the difference between MM Bombardone and PowerMotive with OPEN VALVE? Of course I would use the CLOSE status only when needed... note: I have stock 165 HP and stock/standard downpipe, cat etc. no mods, only the Bombardone.

When i had the power motive it was on a sport car so would naturally be louder but when the valve is open it’s pretty similar to the bombardone as it’s pretty much straight through. Closed though it’s great. Best of both

+Mikey Perry larger injectors and as it's a euro5 model they tend to run rich. The map is also quite a rich map so it's overfueling. The crackles are aided by the decat too.

Edit - Oh never mind I found it seems like it’s a song from way back when. Sounds amazing in the original, sounds amazing in the rap remix, and sounds amazing in the Ryan little remix too.
