Here are the ingredients for today’s Recipe
Ingredients:
To Season & Steam Meat
Beef Chuck
2 Green Marinades
1/4 Large Onion
1/4tsp Natural Spice Mix
All Purpose Seasoning
Salt
To Make Porridge/Pottage
Coco Yam
2 Large Tomatoes
1/2 Large Onion
1 Habanero Pepper or to taste
Stock Fish
Smoked Herrings
Spinach (optional)
To Make Palm Oil Sauce
Palm Oil
Momoni (Cured Fish)
1/2 Small Onion

Most Ghanians calls it salted fish
It's actually fresh fish seasoned with lots of salt for preservation.
It's add to stew n soup for flavour n good taste
It smells but sweet , that's why it's called Momoni(smelling substance) so if u buy n it has that smell it's okay, it's preserved with salt so there re no bacterias on it, unless u see maggots on them👍
You should have added that it's fermented before salted hence the smell so people understand the reason for the scent

This cocoyam is what we use in thickening soup and there is a particular one we eat with oil and onins.

Sweet thanks for this. Mpotompoto is so good. Very versatile recipe and quick to make. My mum used to make the cocoyam mpotompoto with palm soup. And used yam for this recipe but because to serve it with soup light soup she removed the cooked yam from the soup and mashed it slightly in the 'kã' with palm oil. Yummy yummy yummy. I'm off to make some.😋
