Offering a fantastic array of 4x4 tracks of varying difficulty levels, the high country will captivate you and make you return time and time again. The breathtaking panoramic views, stunning open plains and rugged terrain set the scene for some amazing off-roading.
The Wheel Deal crew took a few select suppliers and customers on the trip of a lifetime, traversing a variety of different terrains with like-minded people who know how to have fun. The following presentation just goes to prove that with a few mild, and well thought out modifications, a standard 4wd can become an absolute freedom machine, taking you to places out-of-reach to the common man.

No snorkel on the WJ? It's a 2.7 CRD isn't it? Brave man ploughing through water without one like that?
Yep 2.7 CRD. Probably should have a snorkel, but flares get in the way a bit and, well - the safari and airflow one's are just plain ugly lol. To be honest it is on the list, but I'm just not sure how much longer I will keep the car to warrant spending more money on it.
Yes they are ugly I guess :) I have a 2.7 and it's been great. How many kms you have on yours?
It has just over 250k on it. I've owned it for nearly 10 years now.
Mine has done 340k and still going strong. These get a bad rap but most of it is (apart from occasional bad luck) due to lack of maintenance I think.
I can only dream of my 5th gen Explorer doing this!
