I didn't change my headers out, I punched out my cat with steel rods and removed A LOT of heat and picked up power and sound. Very easy to do instead of spending over a grand for new pipes.
Agree! I have also done the same. This particular head pipe was the stock pipe my CVO came with but FullSac had a program where you could send it to them and they would remove the cat but then extend the individual returns. I found a noticeable bump in power but a lot more sound out of the left muffler as well. For whatever reason they stopped offering this service.
I have not personally installed an original header pipe but I have seen pictures and all of the mounts look the same. I think the main concern is not having a tune for these new bikes. I still have my 2018 head pipe that was decated. I keep hoping for a tune option before I try it.
@@ITFZone The part number for different exhaust manufactures appear to be the same for my 2018 107 and my 2023 121 so I plan on removing the cat from my 2018 header and put it on my 2023 CVO. Several videos I have watched on the 2017 and newer bikes with the Milwaukee eight engine show that these newer Harley's have a much richer tune than the older lean tunes of the past. The factory ECM's also are more capable of adjusting the fuel air ratio with a stage one (header pipe, mufflers and big breather) modification for a safe A/F ratio without a tuner.
I’ll definitely be keeping my original header pipe. Good video. Thanks for the tips.
Indeed keep that header pipe!

@@ITFZone I'm sure it has something to do with the EPA trying to fine anyone altering the cat.
I know this off topic but have taken apart your forks on the 2023 CVO? If have you done a video?
Upside down forks are new for us Harley home mechanics. Check with Stefan of Stefan's Garage!
Do you know if the stock head pipe off my 2018 Road Glide Ultra will fit on my 2023 Road Glide CVO?
