As a Lush employee of 5+ years, I was absolutely jazzed to see you finally make a Lush franken-soap!! So intrigued by what the final product smells like. Pumpkin spice/figs and leaves are so distinct on their own, so makes sense that they’re overpowering the other notes. Hoping to get my hands on one of the slices! :D

Ok but that three layered soap at the end reminds me so much of the Aussie beach. Red earth turning into the white sand followed by the blue ocean. Why am I getting homesick over soap??😭😂😭

Saf and Tyler's Franken series is a friggen godsend. No clue why but their voices and commentary and chaos thru this series just soothes me and makes me sleepy in a good way. They are seriously like a chaotic headspace for me

these franken videos appeal directly to the child in me that would “do chemistry” in the shower with all my parents different soap, shampoo, and conditioner. they’re my favorite, don’t feel bad for making more!!
oh will you have a blast when you find out that you can help save the world and your wallet by saving the little tiny pieces of left over dying soap instead of letting it melt in your shower and do exactly this!! i do this cuz im poor, and since we dont have lush here the scents are usually easily blending together. another thing is getting an exfoliating soap bag and filling the back with said pieces but thats less chemistry-y and also i am not generally a fan of non chemical exfoliation and dont recommend it unless you have super coarse skin

I feel like the layered one would be called "Seasons of the Seas". The colors give me massive beach vibes, and the scents changing with the layers could represent different seasons.

I don’t understand how you can keep me entertained for over half an hour while just shredding soaps. It’s like no matter what the video is about, you make it so relaxing and fun to watch that I could enjoy it for hours on end and not be bored.
18:29 The reason for the difference with the consistency of why it became a full liquid vs a rebatched mass, is because Lush's soaps are "Melt and Pour" soaps, which are designed to be easily meltable, and turn into a liquid.
Honestly gasped when you showed the clear ones with the confetti inside - so beautiful! Also kinda love that each bar will have a unique scent depending on the mix of confetti?
I really love "Frankenfetti" for the clear soaps as it perfectly fits your channel. I'd probably call the cake-like one "Smells like teen spirit" as it smells kinda odd. And for the layered one, I'd suggest "stay at the 3 seasons" as it seems to include seasonal scents.
As a data analyst, I always appreciate when you include analysis and info graphics on your "bad science" videos. I know how much effort goes into them. Only Safiya would bring my two loves together, analytics and melting shit

I am shocked that the soap melted down so well, and that so many bars turned out gorgeously! The succulents bars were my personal favourite, so understated and lovely!
I love that this series is called the "bad science" series when in reality the videos are actually quite educational! I really respect and appreciate how much research and effort Saf puts into her videos. you can tell that she cares a lot about what she's doing and it makes them so much more interesting to watch. I always look forward to the bad science videos!! :)

Maybe you're hurting somebody because you harbour hurt feelings from being hurt by somebody else, but you can either channel it into positive energy or grow up forever bitter and unkind; a victim to your own self-loathing with no room for growth and change.
i think lush would call this the “jack of all scents, master of one” and the fragrance notes would be “overpowering fig, with a sprinkle of zesty spicy goodness”
These videos satisfy the urge I had as a child to make “potions” but saf has taken that to a whole other level. I’d love to see a boba tea version of this, just mixing loads of different colours and flavours of boba tea 🖤

All the soaps actually ended up looking really good. I absolutely adore Katie! As far as soap names, I think "Only Madness" would be good for one of the funfettis. The triple layer soap could be "Soap-fiya & Ty." And, the succulents or the first loaf could be "Crusty's Bath Day."
Crusty's too old for a bath, it would cause him more inflammation than necessary. Considering they dont mind poking and prodding and dangling the cat anyway, who cares? 😁

I loved mixing spices as a kid and putting them on sandwiches and making my family try them.
Every time Safiya walks into a store, the clerks wonder: "Is this it? Is this the day Saifya makes a Franken video at my workplace?" It probably brightens their day a little bit.

these franken videos appeal directly to the child in me that would “do chemistry” in the shower with all my parents different soap, shampoo, and conditioner. they’re my favorite, don’t feel bad for making more!!
oh will you have a blast when you find out that you can help save the world and your wallet by saving the little tiny pieces of left over dying soap instead of letting it melt in your shower and do exactly this!! i do this cuz im poor, and since we dont have lush here the scents are usually easily blending together. another thing is getting an exfoliating soap bag and filling the back with said pieces but thats less chemistry-y and also i am not generally a fan of non chemical exfoliation and dont recommend it unless you have super coarse skin

I don’t understand how you can keep me entertained for over half an hour while just shredding soaps. It’s like no matter what the video is about, you make it so relaxing and fun to watch that I could enjoy it for hours on end and not be bored.
18:29 The reason for the difference with the consistency of why it became a full liquid vs a rebatched mass, is because Lush's soaps are "Melt and Pour" soaps, which are designed to be easily meltable, and turn into a liquid.
I really liked the aspect of the “professional” opinion at the end, I think this is something you should carry through the series!! Looks amazing!!

I really love "Frankenfetti" for the clear soaps as it perfectly fits your channel. I'd probably call the cake-like one "Smells like teen spirit" as it smells kinda odd. And for the layered one, I'd suggest "stay at the 3 seasons" as it seems to include seasonal scents.
As a data analyst, I always appreciate when you include analysis and info graphics on your "bad science" videos. I know how much effort goes into them. Only Safiya would bring my two loves together, analytics and melting shit

I am shocked that the soap melted down so well, and that so many bars turned out gorgeously! The succulents bars were my personal favourite, so understated and lovely!

All the soaps actually ended up looking really good. I absolutely adore Katie! As far as soap names, I think "Only Madness" would be good for one of the funfettis. The triple layer soap could be "Soap-fiya & Ty." And, the succulents or the first loaf could be "Crusty's Bath Day."
