Thanks so much for the close up on the Superman shelf!! Just made a bump under beaver fur using double stickey sided tape super glued to the beaver pelt...instant grin and and sweet results!

Radius the shelf with stained plastic wood and stick a full length soft velcro pad over it. Issue solved.

1/4 inch pvc pipe..hold it on your sander untill the height you want the radious. cut it to length. remember its not running the length of the shelf just a crost the shelf. put 2 sided tape on the shelf stick your little pvc on.. then place your velcro over the length of the shelf. be sure to cut the velcro long enough to contact all of the pvc and shelf.. then do the same aginst your riser..

I tried the soft velcro on my bow and after a week of shooting maybe every other day I noticed it was bare in the spot were the arrow contacts like the arrows were melting it went to a bear hair rest after that maybe i got some crap velcro dont know

Classic indication of your arrows being too stiff or nock height issue. Or both.

I was gifted a Tamerlane. It has a factory installed sight with a row of brushes at the bottom. Are they an arrow rest or do they act like a plunger?

      It’s probably a feather rest

What vanes are those they dont look like feathers

Those are feathers. I can hear them bristle and make noise in the video. Don’t remember what brand, but I’ve since switched to AAE Trad Vanes. Way better (and way quieter) in every way except in the looks department lol

Your assuming Bear didn’t know how to make a shelf, if your bow & arrow is tuned correctly, the arrow and fletching don’t touch a thing.

There is some validity to this, but there is no modern bow made today (or in a very long time for that matter) that has a flat shelf. Theoretically yes, it shouldn’t touch, but a radiused shelf and side plate sure make tuning easier and makes the bow more forgiving

And you're assuming Bear got it right more than half a century ago in the same era when cigarettes were physician-approved, and you're also assuming that there's no room for improvement.
