I like how they admit that they, (and the rest of the cast,) have a professional, working relationship. I'm not sure I believe all of the casts that say, "Oh, we're all best friends, we're like a family!" I'm sure some casts really are, but not all of them! It's refreshing to see such honesty.
15 odd years on and I have the angel box set, I've had it for years but I have never watched the last 10 episodes because I can't bear for it to be over. I'm a freak, I've tried to watch it, but I can't
They're like the two sides of gorgeous on men... David Boreanaz is built with muscles to spare and has the chiseled jaw and soulful puppy-dog eyes, whereas James Marsters is lean and sinewy and has a beautifully angular jaw and high cheekbones and penetrating icy-blue eyes... What a pair!
Yeah, I saw the same thing about Supernatural today. I don't think it's near the show it used to be, but I'm a die hard fan so I'll watch to the end just like I stayed with Buffy and Angel.
Yeah I really liked the first two seasons of SPN the most. It basically just about fighting and killing monsters and searching for Yellow Eyes and finally killing him. Really simple formula but still an awesome show.
I would have asked them way more interesting questions...'what do vampires do for xmas?' you can tell they both hate these type of dumb questions that they have to be polite too.
Whereas I thought James was being kind of distractingly spazzy. Actually, I was happy that David was being calm in this, because usually DB is the kind of massive spazz that JM is here.
It's true that a lot of Supernatural, my favorite show currently on the air, took a lot of influence from Buffy. Buffy and Angel took a lot from Hercules, Xena and dark shadows. Green Mile was Stephen Kings version of the John Steinbeck's classic, Of Mice and Men. All writer's take from others and put their own spin on it.
Yeah, I just read an article today about CW renewals and Supernatural did get one for season 9. Apparently, ratings went up since they fired Sarah Gamble.
It's a shame we didn't get season six to finish out the Wolfram & Hart LA storyline for TV. It would have been great to see what was done in the comic on the screen. If done right I believe it could have been one of the better if not best season.
But in the comics, Wolfram & Hart unleashed hell on earth thus creating a post apocalyptic/ post war type environment where humans had to try to survive. Also, Gunn was turned into a vampire and eventually k!ll3d Connor. I think they ended it at the right time. The storylines mentioned above sounds depressing.
Angel? worst end ever.... Practically it ends in the middle of the beginning. Angel, were you able to defeat the dragon? Did Spike help you? Was Illyria of great help in this apocalypse battle? David you are great in Bones too.
Buffy had a great run but by series 7 it was really showing its age. The ideas and the villians were getting reptitive and dull, even the humour wasn't up to much. Was good it went out while it was still good rather than drag it out forever like certain other shows...
+mattwho81 I agree for the most part, except for Spike's storyline. He had just gotten his soul back, and Buffy and Spike's relationship matured. I like how Season 7 was darker than the previous ones. On the other hand, "The First" was an ok villain. I liked Dark Willow better, actually.
Well yeah, you´re right that was like in the first season, and it was really absurd that he turned down being human, but i guess they wouldn´t have had a show if he wasn´t a vampire cause he wouldn´t be able to fight evil and all and that´s why he did it, i guess i just wanted them to have a happy ending but i guess that´s kind of hard, at least Buffy kinda got to have one, getting the chance of a normal life.
I love both shows. I think Buffy is a little better, although the shows, while in the same universe, are quite different. Buffy is corkier, in a good way. Angel is a bit more serious, although it still shares some of the silliness from Buffy. I liked some of the crossovers, especially the Faith episodes. Those were well done. I also like how Darla, Drusila, and Spike make the two show's connection stronger. Some crossover stories, like when Angel goes back to protect Buffy behind the scenes, then Buffy gets mad and goes to LA to bicker with Angel, are not that good. Also, Wolfram and Hart, and The Powers that Be are never mentioned in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I always found that to be a bit weird. Also, I would have liked to see the whole gang, from both Buffy and Angel, do some sort of cooperative work against the simulations evils: The First and Jasmine. It would have been complicated, but really interesting to see, as both powerful beings were trying to take over the world. Angel had a very strange series finale. The ending was abrupt, although the story picked up on the comics right were it left off on the show. It was not clear that LA had been sent to hell, and we didn't know what would happen to the characters after that. Everything happened very fast in the last couple of episodes, probably because the show had been cancelled, and they needed to wrap things up. One of my favorite scenes from the last episode was the one where Wesley is dying and Illyria takes the form of Fred to comfort Wesley. I think they nailed that scene. Then Illyria kills the demon with one blow. That was really cool. I wish we could have seen more of Illyria and how Fred's memories made her more human. Angel and Hamilton's fight was really cool also. I liked Connor's character, but he was a missed opportunity. They could have done so much more with him. Even at the very end, after killing Hamilton, Angel told Connor to go home, instead of letting him fight against Wolfram and Hart alongside the others.
@munozali1 Your comment is spot on! Agree with everything you said: Should have mentioned Angel's big bad in Buffy, Connor is really cool could have done more and both gangs would have been nice in a cross over (Angel and Willow did crossover at the very end) Where I dissagree is The 1st time Buffy crosses over she sounds off, but the second time in "I Will Remember" was amazing!!!! I'm a Buffy fan and hardly watched any Angel episodes. I couldn't believe I missed so many good episodes. Despite what I've read my favorite all around Angel season is number 4. The arch is on par with Buffy's best season. But as a whole Buffy has more zing, fun and bang. Still, they complement each other well
I wonder if you have discovered the wonderful world of fanfiction. - Elysian Fields. Some of the authors have better continuing storylines than the comics.
Well actually Joss has said that Not Fade Away would have been pretty much the same even if they had renewed Angel for another season and he wanted it to work as just a SEASON finale but also a SERIES finale if it needed to be. Plus the comic started like 3 years after the TV series ended. Also, I think SPN has been renewed for season 9 but I'm not sure. But either way, the guy who is running SPN now said that he had a plan for the show that would start this season and wrap up in season 10.
Yeah, Roman and the mayor are a lot alike and Bobby is Sam's and Dean's Giles. I do like the way Supernatural stays focused on the story of two brothers and doesn't bring in a whole bunch of friends as sidekicks, though. I hate that this will likely be the last season of SN, but all shows come to an end.
like the vampire diaries for instance. And i get the feeling that things were left unresolved when both Buffy and Angel ended, so i guess i kinda hope they would make things more clear in the comics. But yeah well i guess they had to end at some point, and they will still have the end that they got coz the comics are not the same. It´s cool you accept the show as it is, i like Connor i just think the show got seriously screwed when Cordy slept with Connor, i think that shouldn´t have happened.
On a shallow note, nice guns on David! dayum son. And while I think the open shirt down to the navel is kind of tragic in a fashion sense, I do appreciate the chest on James.
And hey thank you :P you´re the first Buffy and Angel fan that i ´ve actually spoken with and it´s really nice to see that somebody feels the same way about some things on the show (don´t know if it sounds lame but) i felt kind of understood :P also thank you for the thing of the comics, it never occurred to me that i could just download them hehe. I´m Melissa by the way, Take Care a lot of yourself :) Bye
I tried watching it at the beginning and i wasn´t really hooked, but since you tell me there might be like a similarity with Buffy i think i´ll give it another try, is just i don´t think there will be another show with a horror like storyline as cool as Buffy, the shows on tv today with similar topics are not even close,
You are awesome! thank you so much!!! :) i got the spike ones apparently there are only like 2 more seasons of Buffy, so i guess those must be the two comics u read, or is a comic like an episode of the season? i´m kind of confused :P anyway i´m not gonna get the one of Dawn as a giant, that sounds kind of boring lol, and also apparently Cordelia comes back again or something when Angel is about to die, so i guess i´m gonna get the Angel ones too, thank you again :D
I think i did,10 minutes of an episode? hahaha damn! i guess one season would be like a million comics lol, i´m gonna have to wait till i have more time cause i wanna know if Buffy ends up with Angel or he becomes human or if Cordy comes back or what and that´s like a lot of comics :O and that´s if i can find them all, don´t you think it´s fucked up that they killed Cordy? or are u more of a Buffy and Angel fan?
Yeah, that sucks :( i wish they made a movie or something but well vampires are not supposed to get old and some years have gone by, hey by the way have you read the comics?
fuck the comics, if they made Angel or Buffy live action again, all those stories would be discarded as alternate reality with some plotlines kept plus what they did to Angel is bullshit, He's been his own since 1999, had his own series but now they absorbed him back into Buffy, removing him from his crew/family in LA to rescue Giles and some more BS, it's a betrayal to Angel's own character development and what he created for 5 years, he's his own man at this point
Well it's not really like he did it on purpose. In the audio commentary for the first of the episode of the last Angel season he says that at that point they didn't know what the future holds but at the end of the season, they were 90% sure that they'd get a season six but they didn't so it was actually supposed to continue. But what I don't understand is that why didn't they make a movie to finish it then? I mean they did one for Firefly, so it's not like it would be hard for that popular show.
Wow! really? :O hahahaha yeah that was so fucked i was pissed off i mean why wouldn´t she agree to do just one stupid episode, anyway i think i would buy them just to know, hahaha, although it seems some of the things in the comics are TOO insane like Buffy hooking up with a girl and stuff. So hey whats the explanation and what happened to Sunnydale? Can you tell me? that would be so cool :P
i still can't believe that in the first episode James Marsters did of Buffy, he was 35! so in the last season of Angel he was 42! dammmmn..
James with his knees 10 metres apart and his shirt completely open jesus stop you gorgeous little git
You can really see their different personalities. I'd heard they always cast to type.... David is very calm and easy and James is so dynamic
That's so funny!
James how many buttons do you want unbuttoned on your shirt?
James: YES
James Marsters is such an incredible fidget. He just wriggles around the whole time. I relate so hard. Can’t sit still either.
He also, not so subtly, adjusts his balls constantly during his fidgets LOL
R.I.P Glenn Quinn ( Allen Francis Doyle) ;(
I like how they admit that they, (and the rest of the cast,) have a professional, working relationship. I'm not sure I believe all of the casts that say, "Oh, we're all best friends, we're like a family!" I'm sure some casts really are, but not all of them! It's refreshing to see such honesty.
RIP Glenn Quinn :( Nice to know that the first 9 were David's favourites cause of Glenn.
15 odd years on and I have the angel box set, I've had it for years but I have never watched the last 10 episodes because I can't bear for it to be over. I'm a freak, I've tried to watch it, but I can't
i wish I didnt watch it. i cant bear for it to be over either!
It continues in the comics on to season six and so on, Buffy had the same situation
It sounds like they're being interviewed by Drusilla
These two have great understanding of each other
buffy and angel 4Ever
Just finished another re-run!! Love it!
It's funny how you can hear Spike even in Marster's American accent!
ANGEL 4EVER
Craziest storyline? Have to go with Connor. Just, why. Wish his existence and the ensuing events were wiped from my memory too.
AND DAVID IS SO HOT.UGH
Yeah I really liked the first two seasons of SPN the most. It basically just about fighting and killing monsters and searching for Yellow Eyes and finally killing him. Really simple formula but still an awesome show.
I would have asked them way more interesting questions...'what do vampires do for xmas?' you can tell they both hate these type of dumb questions that they have to be polite too.
I was totally mesmerised by James' hand almost the whole way through this interview! What I wouldn't do to be his hand down there! XD
The whole type I was just thinking, please say 1x08 "I will remember you"!!! ;)
Whereas I thought James was being kind of distractingly spazzy. Actually, I was happy that David was being calm in this, because usually DB is the kind of massive spazz that JM is here.
I always like Angel and Cordy better than Angel and Buffy. I never really got them together.
I like the episode where Angel and Buffy Finally get to do it. when he tirns human.
IKR!!! I watched the final episode and was like WTF???How could they let a series end like that!!
Joss had another season planed, but the producers didn't think it would be able to have a long run like Buffy did so they canceled it.
True, true, but he also said in an interview that he actually thinks ending it like that is the perfect way to say that the adventure never ends.
they need to make another season of Angel or make A DAMN MOVIE
James Marsters *is* American, but he's really good at doing accents, so he gets asked a lot to do roles that require him to have an accent.
i never thought about it, but winters should be horrible for vampires because human mostly stay indoors.
Yeah, I just read an article today about CW renewals and Supernatural did get one for season 9. Apparently, ratings went up since they fired Sarah Gamble.

+daniele doyle Just read the comics, it picks up where that left off.
Pretty much just looking at James' chest and crotch this whole video tbh 😳
i wish girls would look at me like that
Buffy had a great run but by series 7 it was really showing its age. The ideas and the villians were getting reptitive and dull, even the humour wasn't up to much. Was good it went out while it was still good rather than drag it out forever like certain other shows...

James marsters: I wanna play humans
his next biggest role......Brainic, a alien robot computer thing........
angels soo hot!!!!!
David reminds me so much of Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees
I love both shows. I think Buffy is a little better, although the shows, while in the same universe, are quite different. Buffy is corkier, in a good way. Angel is a bit more serious, although it still shares some of the silliness from Buffy.

At least they have the Spike comics... but it's just not the same...
Around the time of angel season 5 there was a poll to do another spin off series between spike and faith, spike won but ratings weren't high eenough.
@Robby0828 They actually offered James Marsters his own spin-off series, but he refused, stating he was too old.
Yeah, Roman and the mayor are a lot alike and Bobby is Sam's and Dean's Giles. I do like the way Supernatural stays focused on the story of two brothers and doesn't bring in a whole bunch of friends as sidekicks, though. they both looked kinda bored? lol
They're looking at the Wee, lil puppet man!
is that Dru thats interviewing them???
8:00 haha he's drinking tea! I still can't believe he's not british
Yeah totally agree, so sad :(
like the vampire diaries for instance. And i get the feeling that things were left unresolved when both Buffy and Angel ended, so i guess i kinda hope they would make things more clear in the comics. spike. go blond again it is very dangerly attractive but still hot
he got all the blonde shaved off after the end of Angel for charity :D
i would like that but that was 4 years ago
On a shallow note, nice guns on David! dayum son. And while I think the open shirt down to the navel is kind of tragic in a fashion sense, I do appreciate the chest on James.
think he was making up for the hair
They did, just never got enough ratings so they took it down
Even though we all want that, they won't. They've moved on to other things sadly
They act high. Lol
Muy guapos
I tried watching it at the beginning and i wasn´t really hooked, but since you tell me there might be like a similarity with Buffy i think i´ll give it another try, is just i don´t think there will be another show with a horror like storyline as cool as Buffy, the shows on tv today with similar topics are not even close,
so David doesn't keep in touch with anybody he works with
james sounds just like tommy lee
Wow if that is true then there is hope for us old foggies
You are awesome! thank you so much!!! :) i got the spike ones apparently there are only like 2 more seasons of Buffy, so i guess those must be the two comics u read, or is a comic like an episode of the season? i´m kind of confused :P anyway i´m not gonna get the one of Dawn as a giant, that sounds kind of boring lol, and also apparently Cordelia comes back again or something when Angel is about to die, so i guess i´m gonna get the Angel ones too, thank you again :D
some of those questions are kinda dumb xD but anyway, james looks so hot.
And then an immortal on warehouse 13
@ganjakru1 No thats just how boring Davids voice is.... James is just trying not to go to sleep
@Robby0828 That's just what I read on IMDB.
read the comics. they're canon.
nice
I think i did,10 minutes of an episode? hahaha damn! i guess one season would be like a million comics lol, i´m gonna have to wait till i have more time cause i wanna know if Buffy ends up with Angel or he becomes human or if Cordy comes back or what and that´s like a lot of comics :O and that´s if i can find them all,

Anyone else getting too distracted by James' open shirt? Rawr!
fuck the comics, if they made Angel or Buffy live action again, all those stories would be discarded as alternate reality with some plotlines kept

james real personality should be that of spike...-.- the british bleach blond punk rocker... -.- it fits him better lol...
What year was this?
Why is Marster's shirt open? o_O
Not like I'm not appreciating it... :P I just wanna know why...It's a little odd.
Ok so there's James's shirt but has anyone noticed his knees? Guy needs some new clothes I think :P
b/c it's james marsters everything about that man is a little confusing
Wow! Damn, James can't keep his hands off his own junk, can he? They make a cream for that, dude...
+Veronica Sanner You so crazy!! LOL.
