We should feel proud to be born as indians. Such a great heritage and culture. The dancer should have so much concentration to follow the rhythym, draw lion with her legs and also dance. Such focussed. Really hats off to those who created such dance forms. In india we have abundant creative talent compared to other countries. Our culture is one of the oldest.

As a Bengali, I never knew that there is a whole art form to worship Durga...great..... I am feeling very generous to know that... u know Devi Durga is our pride, our identity, our life...so this dance form is very artistic and important...
I mean every Dance form is..but in relation with Devi Durga it is so much appropriate..Indian culture is a treasure.
We can not draw properly a figure with hands and she is drawing while dancing WITH LEGS !!!!!
    Your legs are precious..

Durga is mother of whole universe and she is worshipped by our vedas , in srimad devi bhagawatam and durga shaptshati the way of worshipping durga is totally digfferent from bengoli culture.

The last two generations of us were behind the western style of living and ceased to realise the great culture of us in every field of life...now the westerns are awestruck at the great knowledge and skills of our ancestors as they realise that many of the arts could not be replicated even with the help of the latest technologies. ...
The world research centre has a huge statue of Lord Shiva in the entrance....
The Thanjai Periya Koil is standing majestically for many centuries and it's basement is only few feet and is filled with sand ...this makes the temple stand against earthquakes and other natural calamities...
The temples built for the Panja Boodhas. ..the five elements are located in a straight line.....
The iron pillar doesn't rust after facing all type of climatic conditions for centuries ...
Medical field was the best in ancient India. ..Susrutha was the first doctor to conduct surgeries and he has listed hundreds of surgical procedures and instruments. ....
Kundi was able to get her children by the so called modern way of blessing the childless couple with children. ..
Our ancestors used medicines to get rid of the root cause of the diseases.. not like the modern medicine which makes our brains numb to the pains...when the body gets used to it and doesn't work anymore the modern doctors dump more and more pain killer chemicals into the body.....
Our ancestors knowledge was so vast...the Navagrahas are adorned with the colour of the cloth which is exactly the colour of the particular planet....
We live in a country which is neither too hot nor too cold...but we ape the foreigners and started wearing jeans...which leads to infertility problems. .....and the fertility clinics have awesome business. ...
The list goes on and on. ....we are blind to see our worth ....the foreigners get patent for our own TURMERIC and it doesn't grow in their countries

    Dance is divine
Learn dance to be in bliss.Dance helps in maintaining and storing information for long duration. Dancers are highly skilled human beings who are efficient and effective multi tasking individuals. But one should realise that bhava and rasa are the central concepts in Indian dance forms. As we all are familiar with the poem in Bhaskara satakam "chaduvadi enta galigina rasagnata inchuka chalakunna aa aa chaduvu nirardhakamu".In the same way learning from guru or acharya should be in sacred form but not through imitation. The Indian gurukula system of education tells us the same.We attain vidya or knowledge only by serving the guru only.Dance is not the movement of the limbs to tala but to Express bhava, rasa to reach lasyam. That together makes rasaleela that lord lord Krishna does to privilege mankind. That should be learnt from these precious artforms. Then only we can understand the power of our culture ,art ,values.First learn the art and then perform ,it gives real essence of these precious forms. Learning from gurus makes us leaders to carry the legacy to future generations.
