@@rajmishra4314This is "Daiva" and not "Deva". Daivas are spirits worshipped in coastal Karnataka and surrounding districts. Every month on Sankranti people do pooja for Daiva. Humans get possessed by Daivas as shown in this movie. People ask for remedies to their problems, disputes during kola. Kola is the function of Daiva possession of a human.
One thing should be remembered by people is that gods forgive your bad deeds. But daiva won't spare. They go for revange. Any fun or cheating intended will proove costly as shown on the steps of court in this movie.

I am not from a village, or a town. Growing up in North America, I always looked around to see what an Asian American can affiliate with. I watched this movie with my Indian friends, and somehow got smitten by its simplicity. This song with its cosmic mini sub-cultural nuance got to me. Who says one needs to be oratory to express well - with this kind of culture and ritual based dance routine? This is beyond marvelous!
Now I pity the audience there watching most of the cheesey run-of-the-mill movies, most of which aren't even stories emanating from that land!

He himself has clearly alluded to this fact in multiple interviews, as well as clearly stating that a higher power has been guiding him throughout the making of the movie. In fact the kind of preparation and lifestyle he followed prior to filming those final sequences, is exactly how one prepares for a Bhuta Kola ritual.
I would suggest you to watch the brilliant podcast: "The Kantara Experience" by two advanced spiritual masters, Rajarshi Nandy ji & SG Rohit Arya ji, wherein they deep dive into the deeper ritual & spiritual aspects of the movie.

Tears rolled down my eyes! I felt a strange lump in my throat. And it grew bigger by the second. Something compelled me to remove my footwear. I was come over by the singing, the lyrics, the postures, the expressions, the joyous dance, and the sacred scream of Daiva. Yeah bro, when i watched that scene in theatres i was like, oh man 😍 (filled up with goosebumps) and Panjurli is closed eyes, playing with those two fire torches and the camera going with a zoom, focusing on his face. That was the first time when i listened Varaha Roopam song cause i catched the movie 25 minutes late (thanks to my friends) so i couldn't see the first Kola sequence.

Actually i need to tell this. This movie has some devine power and it chooses his audience by himself itself. I watched this movie by oct 2nd week only. Untill that i dont even aware of this movie. Just i noticed the boodha kola faced image in instagram. I stared that image unknowingly for few mins. That face made something in me and provoked me to search about that. I googled by using that pic itself. becos, i dont know by which name i could search. By that way i came to know about this movie. I went to this movie and am fully felt devine. In the climax i felt like possessed by panjurli. i was Am very very happy and i cant even stand up. Unable to resist the devine vibration spread in my veins. I watched the movie again and again. This is the only movie which i watched more than 5 time in theatre. Still i can feel the vibe in me. As i said before, this movie chooses his audience by himself.
