Fun fact: the Priest were getting written off as the "old dudes" in metal... When Painkiller came out, the world was well aware of the Big Four of Thrash and turns out those old dudes didn't really like being called irrelevant. I remember seeing the video on MTV as a kid and getting up and walking away from the TV like you did when Glenn does that weird little raking riff. Nobody was really doing that shit on guitar besides maybe Criss Oliva or Shawn Lane at the time so this was mind fucking blowing to see when it was brand new

Oh YESSS!!!! Widely considered to be THE iconic example of what Heavy Metal IS...I would agree. IMMEDIATE stank face LOL!! This was released 30 years ago as well, stands the test of time without a doubt. Drummer's name is Scott Travis and he kicks some serious ass with the double bass drums! Whether you were ready or not, it's too late now LOL! Yeah, I think you nailed as good as anyone else could. Great reaction and breakdown!
On a side note...I was playing my drums one day set up in front of a half enclosed racquetball court. The acoustics were INCREDIBLE once I found the perfect spot. Well, as I was goofing around playing different things I was doing the beginning of this song and a few kids were watching while riding around on their bikes. Several years later I saw this kid I knew who worked at the market close by home and we were talking when he handed me a CD of his band, we had talked a few times about him playing drums. Well, I asked him about what motivated him to start playing and he said "YOU did." Uhhh, huh? he said he remembered seeing me playing that day in front of the racquetball courts and decided he was going to start playing drums. Pretty cool moment, never thought I would be someone to motivate someone else to play.
