Multifuncional Guide Design in Exocad
When designing multifunctional guides, initially described by German Gallucci in 2004, one of the steps where I spend the most time is defining the critical and subcritical contours. Placing the critical profile in the correct location provides valuable information to the surgeon, namely the depth at which the implant is placed and whether or not bone reduction is necessary to achieve aesthetic results.
