I have the vt40+ and i LOVE it At first i didn't really like it, but there are some things that really helped me. ( have it for a year now and play it almost every day) At first, there is a master volume and a power knob I found out that if you put the master high(about 12 o'clock) and the power low, you will get nicer distorded sounds( i am not a metalhead, but love things like system of a down or alestorm) (try making something out of basic(green) us highgain mode spl(orange) with power high and really low master volume you will get way nicer clean sounds. (And you can do everything between these options) Also, for a nice tube amb like 'almost breaking up clean' or nice tube clean, turn gain as low as you can while you can still hear something and then put the power and the master (and channel volume) a loooottt louder than you usualy would It's amazing! Just experiment with gain, volume and power And another giant tip, use a equalizer pedal for extra eq options It doesn't do much for heavy distortion sounds, but it makes the cleans so much nicer If you have questions about a vox vt+ amp, feel free to ask me questions
Yasser Abdelmonsef i am not a jazz and blues guy and the amp is not a super clean amp (i think it will be if you change the tube) but i think it would be a great blues and jazz amp for that price.(don't know if you can get better) it takes some time to master the amp, but it's super versitile and it sounds a lot more real than other modeling amps. and it has a noice surprassor build in i suggest you try one out, it's for a big part just personal taste. if you have more specific questions, feel free to ask.

Good demo. None of the usual jibber jabber and hair metal shenanigans. I've been looking at one of these online. The clean tones are wonderful. The reverb is lush. Great job.
I recently traded in my AC15 for the VT20. The AC15 was righteous but a bit too much for my home. The wife is still pissed about the VT20, especially since I bought a PRS Mark Holcomb with the Alpha Omega pickups. I have yet tried her patience but I will be doing so soon. I hope she doesn't kill me!

please guys tell me, i have bought this amp and i have one problem, when i run those ready presets on 99 preset channel or whatever, when i change from any of them to the another, the voice goes so loud i cant stand the moment of switching ;/
Hrabia super old post but I’ll answer for anyone else who has this issue. It’s preprogrammed to be at the ideal volume to achieve that preset tone. So not always ideal for bedroom use. All you have to do is move the volume knob a tiny bit in any direct to restore the volume you were playing at before you switched. Kinda dumb feature but manageable. And if you like a tone you can save it at your volume.
Holy shit that amp got a lot of features. I have a simple starter amp right now with just a clean and overdrive channel, I think this might just be a bit too much :P Sounds like a really nice amp though, nice video!

ive had minbe on a sailing boat, for three years, no problems whatsoever !! this amp is awesome really !! best choice for me for an amp !! small,light and easy to carry, and when you pump it up itll bite your head off ))

+elmero mero This ignorant sod won't answer your questions! I've been in his shop 3 times in the past year and he has never once lifted his ignorant head from his PC screen when I've been in there! I even once asked him if he'd read my email I sent him hours earlier and he said he hadn't checked his emails yet!!! What he's doing on his PC, fk knows but I will never deal with this ignoramus again (I run my own guitar repair business in Mansfield so he's lost some good custom there)... PS: I bet he'll reply to this now :P
+elmero mero These amps aren't really meant to be used with external effects (that's why they have built in effects). Plus, as it is a 'modelling amp', it should be fine for recording! I believe it has a 'line-out' socket so it can plug directly into a mixing desk. I don't know of any diffences between the 20/40 watt models sound-wise....

I have the VTX20+ and it's important to read the manual so you optimize the amp. It's fantastic and I enjoy playing it.
