My bro has one of these he hooks his Ricky 330 up to. F***ing awesome ; I cannot believe the sound he gets for the price it cost brand new, especially compared with amps he had before. The build quality is ROCK SOLID and feels like so much more pricier gear. The sounds effects will keep you experimenting for a long, long time. I am not a musician, but as a listener only I think these stylish amps rock like hell!
Thats actually true, if this was first time I'd hear any Vox VT amp, no chance I'd buy one:p but I still hope this will be just better version of standard VT, cant wait to get it:)
Just got this amp and absolutely love it. Sounds great, provides plenty of good sounds for a guy like me who can't afford a ton of pedals and processors, and it is portable. As a new guitarist trying to stretch a dollar, this made much more sense for me than something like a Fender Frontman with a collection of pedals, etc. - even though that Frontman is pretty sweet too. Just got this home and can't stop tinkering with it. Can be very simple, or can allow you to customize your own sound. A+
Yup- and the owners manual is well written. You don't need a masters degree in marketing mumbo jumbo, or gobbledygook to understand how it all works! Kudos to whomever wrote it. LOVE the sounds I get from it!
cauliflower has a better tone than potato...i should know...i plugged my pedalboard into some nice cauliflower cooked with butter and spiced with pepper...had a nice vintage fuzz vibe.
Whats the song called in the beggining? I read the description and I cant read Whatever middle eastern language that is. Sounds like JP becuase of the scale.
@123marijn321 Spider IV series only gets good from 75 Guitar Combo anything below tends to suck not via shear power and noise but from the lack of features. Vox VT on the other hand it's the same set up but you want more power you pay more and the features are the same throughout. VOX learned with some Amp builders haven't. consistency, and Consistency isn't what Line 6 yet is needed in there line-up next line up of amps
@puremetal95 I am also a beginner and going to get this amp. I think the fender mustang series, line 6, and peavey are great but a bit too complicated for their own good. I think this vox is a lot more straight forward that will enable better learning IMO. It also sounds a ton better!
Buzzy distortion is more or less the sound of vox valvetronix. Only one demo-er with the JCM 800 managed to pull of something decent with the tonelab ST...
true..but imo modeling/transistor amps could be a lo better.. i mean, look at the VT (and Vox ToneLabs for that matter)..they sound soooo good for being a modeling system, why dont all modelings sound like that? there r even bands that gig/record/perform using ONLY the ToneLabs without using any amps at all (!!!)...yes yes the VT and the tonelabs have tubes, but still..they sound veery good..i belive that better modelings/transistors can be done, they just dont do it so people will buy tubes..
@lizardgizard222 This is the best practice amp/modeling amp in it's price range. You can get any sound/tone you want.It has an abundance of great sounding digital effects.Which is then signalled through the power stage which uses a 12AX7 tube. The power stage output is 100% analogue.I am so glad i brought back my Roland cube for this.
@veeragandersucks well fender isnt really know for heavy metal, their more of a just bluesy or rock n roll amp, and dont rely on how good an amp is just by one setting, but if you want a good metal one get this or a peavy vypyr
Yes more technical show of demo i don t think that this amp sound how this i have vox amp and no possible to have this sound with no pedals effects but vox are good amp
I thought the playing was amazing. I get sick of hearing the same old blues .... Zzz ... Almost put myself to sleep thinking about it. Actual can't even stand metal but love great playing. This little guy, vypyr 60, or mustang? I'm undecided.
i swaped my mustang for a VT+...if u are in a budget for small "bedroom" practice-amps, look no further then the VT..i admit i dont like Vox that much, but the VT is just so good that i couldnt say no..the little 12AX7 tube makes it sound like much more expensive full-tube amps..when u bought mine, i was actually looking for a small "boutique" 1-5watts tube amp (Blackstar HT1, Fender Greta, OrangeTinyTerror), and not only the VT is cheaper and has more features, but also sounds better..go for it
people tat think the amp is sounding good in this video, go test one out..because it sounds a million times better in person then on this rather cheap-sounding recording...i am right now sitting in my room playing my guitar through my VT+ watching this video and thinking to myself: why on earth is that amp sounding so terrible on that video?!..even being kind of a fender sucker, trust me, these little Vox sound waaaaay better then u can hear on the video...i even changed my fender for this one..

is more a technical show off a demonstration of the sound amplifier
Thanks for that video. Now I know what amp NOT to buy.
Play one of this at guitar store, your opinion might change.
This is house amp what u prefer in house im really asking im using marshall mg15cf and im searchin amps for my friends u think my amp is good?

These amps have a selection for blues and the more realistic a blues effect can be modeled - the better. Yet this selection was not demonstrated.

I wish he'd show his settings instead of just the channel.
Do hear Foo Fighters in there? I could be mistaken, even so It Sounds Awesome!
cant believe i almost bought the line 6 spider, thank god i found this :D
What is the UK rock special song /2:10/??? Sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
line 6 and vox are the best amps for this
Do I hear Foo Fighters in there? I could be mistaken, even so It Sounds Awesome!
the demo really starts at 1:47 with different amp models etc.
After that you get a good look at the different tones and stuff.
cauliflower has a better tone than potato...i should know...i plugged my pedalboard into some nice cauliflower cooked with butter and spiced with pepper...had a nice vintage fuzz vibe.

How would this sound with a Schecter omen 6 extreme? Planning on buying one maybe
Guitar Master! SAMURAI!!!!
@veeragandersucks which would you say are better for metal the vox or vypyr because ive played them both and its too hard to tell
CHAos Theory- YASU you can find in myspace
What was the UK Rock setting song? sounds really cool, anyway turn up the bass for God's sake.
You can' beat this amp for the money $$$$ I love it!!!!
the demo really starts at 1:47 with different amp models etc.
What do you recommend me?? This amplifier + a footswhitch OR Vox pathfinder 10w´+ zoom G1XN??
2:23 What song is? :v
i can't tell forgive my ignorance but what tuning does he have at in around 2:45 ish?? thanx
what is better for classic rock vox or orange ????
I'd love to know the name of the song that was played from the start up to 1:22, anybody know?
@puremetal95 That's kind of a vague question, it'd sound like an amplifier.
song's title is listedin the end.
whats the difference between the 20+ and the 40+ ??
section at 2:23 convinced me to buy this. hope the guy gets back to me lmfao
Y los clean?

Line 6 has alot of fun presets
Peavy Vyper looks cool
Roland has a good name behind it
VOX IS THE ULTIMATE
Guys, can somebody send me good sound settings to vox vt 40+ ? I have it only few days...
@daplayer i got the spider IV75 and its awsome
Buzzy distortion is more or less the sound of vox valvetronix. Only one demo-er with the JCM 800 managed to pull of something decent with the tonelab ST...
Would this do for a beginner amp?
The old Valvetronix were way better than the new junk
what is the intro song??!!!!!

Why in the world would u shred with a vox ac 15 or 30?
@Lydomina Kinda stupid question when I think about it now :/
dude it says right there vt20+ ..
@lizardgizard222 This is the best practice amp/modeling amp in it's price range. You can get any sound/tone you want.It has an abundance of great sounding digital effects.Which is then signalled through the power stage which uses a 12AX7 tube. The power stage output is 100% analogue.I am so glad i brought back my Roland cube for this.
so, this amp can do melodeath? HELL YEAH
is he using a vt40+?
@veeragandersucks well fender isnt really know for heavy metal, their more of a just bluesy or rock n roll amp, and dont rely on how good an amp is just by one setting, but if you want a good metal one get this or a peavy vypyr
Is the vt20 a tube amp?
Hybrid. It has a preamp tube in the power section but it is also solid state.
+Alex Carranza digital! Not solid state!
this amp its 10534623781 times better than a fucking line 6 spider and day thats for kids
Yes more technical show of demo i don t think that this amp sound how this i have vox amp and no possible to have this sound with no pedals effects but vox are good amp
@mopthedog that doesnt make sense. you expect an expert guitarist to play badly for you ?
@lizardgizard222 or a peavey vypyr, or fender mustang
I thought the playing was amazing. I get sick of hearing the same old blues .... Zzz ... Almost put myself to sleep thinking about it. Actual can't even stand metal but love great playing. This little guy, vypyr 60, or mustang? I'm undecided.
OMFG I bought a line 6 spider and I hated it.
I switched backt o pod farm.
And now my computer isn't as good anymore I'm gonna get this.
@lizardgizard222 good my spider 3 broke after 3 years
@lizardgizard222 whats wrong with you, line6 spiders are awesome too! and not that expensive
i swaped my mustang for a VT+...if u are in a budget for small "bedroom" practice-amps, look no further then the VT..i admit i dont like Vox that much, but the VT is just so good that i couldnt say no..the little 12AX7 tube makes it sound like much more expensive full-tube amps..when u bought mine, i was actually looking for a small "boutique" 1-5watts tube amp (Blackstar HT1, Fender Greta, OrangeTinyTerror), and not only the VT is cheaper and has more features, but also sounds better..go for it
This guy sound like a fly from hell!
How is that Metal? It sounds like Mario sped up...
@Dano94910 playing something SIMPLE isnt the same as playing something BAD. be logical
marcoaustrali I want to know too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@veeragandersucks ive played them there not that bad
There's music---or there's noise.
You decide
Once again, a guy who shows he can play the guitar (because he learnt...)...What about the amp?
My bad.
worst review ever?
@lizardgizard222 yea! fuck line 6 spider ...
@TheHolyVince Of course dude... just was kidding, a little sense of humor please...
people tat think the amp is sounding good in this video, go test one out..because it sounds a million times better in person then on this rather cheap-sounding recording...i am right now sitting in my room playing my guitar through my VT+ watching this video and thinking to myself: why on earth is that amp sounding so terrible on that video?!..even being kind of a fender sucker, trust me, these little Vox sound waaaaay better then u can hear on the video...i even changed my fender for this one..
@manomyth11 no. i rather hear clean :-)
this is not a demo
Dear asian, nobody cares your skills in the guitar, just play all the samples. thanks
Its a great amp, but pretty crappy tone in this demo.. especially the metal section!
err... wrong! Don`t be a hater all your life.
1974mama
@lizardgizard222 I would rather have this than my line 6. That thing is a piece of shit with too much on it. Half the price too
@USFA45LC -facepalm-
Why ALWAYS play with distortian and so? MEN!
Learn to EQ !
What a terrible review!
