Amazon must have these out of stock, i just checked and they did not know when this item would be available. Do you happen to have a spreadsheet that I could follow to jot down all of my zone schedule times?
I bought one of these and it worked fine for a few months but now it randomly doesn't work at all during scheduled waterings. It looks like it should be working but it doesn't open the valve.
Try replacing the batteries first. I have had that happen to me as well. Try replacing the batteries or take out the holder for the batteries, let the timer turn off with out the batteries and then put the holder with the batteries back in. I did that one time and it worked fine.
There is a point here that I think is large, but missed. When you put the timer in manual, it doesn't go from port to port to port to port. Instead it starts all the ports at once, which is the opposite of auto mode. So all your sprinklers will have diminished water pressure and won't water like they do in auto mode. Its like listening to an album by playing all the songs at once. That's pretty much pointless.
It's the single worst part about this timer. It's literally almost perfect in every single way except for this. What's the point then? You'd have to set a current timer on a zone if you just wanted to run through the zones and additional time. Really sucks that they didn't include this functionality. The Orbit timer does it.
Tip: If you are using this timer with a drip irrigation system, consider using short flexible leader hoses to attached to the lines. Each line must have a pressure reduction fitting and a back flow preventer. I wanted maximum flow to the timer, so the two items I just mentioned go after the timer. If you are not using all four ports and are watering at night, or away consider putting a shut off valve on those ports not in use. Just in case.
I need to water every 2 days, I want to set it today, have it water today evening and then in two days from now in the evening. Another words i need to pick the time when the every 2 days interval starts. Hos can this be done?
Sold under a few brands! Melnor 4 hose is great imo. Two thumbs up. Real workhorse that is both simple and powerful. Also sold as ace at ace and other house brands. I got mine at ace for way cheaper than online.
Anyone know why it might just run the water when it’s hooked up. It says water cycle will start tomorrow but instead it’s just running and the water icon is not displayed
You are putting teflon tape on hose connections? Did you forget the hose washers? Hose threads are not designed to seal on the threads, a hose washer must be used. I have looked at the video yet, but seeing teflon tape on your timer destroys your credibility.
And now you are setting every other day by selecting Su, Tu, Th, Sa? That means you will water every other day except Sa and Su. No, you should set for every 2 days by going one more selection past Sa to get the interval. I'm done watching this. You obviously don't know what you are doing.

Thanks for adding the tip at the end! Exactly what I was looking for.
I didn't want the same thing that happened to me to someone else.
I love this thing! Some trial and error the first few days but it’s simple to use once you get the hang of it.
How can I reset the time ( minutes for sprinkling after sunrise).
Great info
I'm having trouble getting the battery compartment open
Suggestions please
You have to really pinch the tabs together to pull it out. Or use pliers to pinch them together.
@@WooderBoyProductions finally got it lol ohhh my it was definitely stuck but I guess that helps with water resistance...my positive spin
@@pamelavance648 glad to help and don't forget to subscribe.
Just use a blade screwdriver and lift it gently, it slides out easily.

Great instructions. Very clear. How is this product holding up today?
Works great to this day. I use my Two port one everyday.
If you "delete" a zone(you don't see it at the bottom of the screen), how do you get it back (so that you can program in it?
Just select the zone you want and hit the triangle to program it again.
Very good video 👌. Just one question, the inches of the hammer adapter is the exact measurement to the timer.
Yes I believe so.
Can you use quick connects for your hoses to connect to the Melnor unit?
You could but need to be careful they are connected good.

Can I have one zone hooked to my hose that is always active when the other zones are off?
What do you mean by always active?
@@WooderBoyProductions want to use one zone as a hose and the other 3 as timed zones. Is that possible.
@@Unclemattslawncare yes you have to manually turn on that zone each time you use it.
If you want a zone always have water ,how to set?
What do you mean by always? You can set one zone to 4 times a day.

Changed them once in 4 years.

Yes I believe this can be done. If you try setting the time keep holding the arrow until it goes to intervals.
I want to find how to reset the solar timer
Gosh thanks for the tips! I would be the one leaving the water gushing out from the zones that were not connected. Lol
Oh yeah. It was bad.

HOW TO MAKE THE MELNOR RUN ALL MANUALY
Are you asking?
YES, AT ANY GIVEN TIME CAN I MAKE ALL STATIONS RUN IN ORDER. EVEN IF ITS BEFORE THE START TIME.
@@PaulCTownsend you have to manually start each one.
@@WooderBoyProductions Thank You

Melnor has a single zone.

I have never had a problem for 3 plus years now so I think I am ok.
