      @@PrincessCutLawnCare Standard North Eastern mix, nothing special. I was amazed how the weeds would turn white and comeback anyway with a vengeance.
      Imo the best way is to do a controlled burn of the dry tach , then a light layer of soil and a reseeding. A Propane torch works very well too.

    I applied the Tenacity-Speedzone mix to my lawn yesterday morning, and about 12 hours later could see the effects of the Speedzone on the broadleaf weeds. Most were definitely stressed and the leaves were drooping and starting to curl. Twenty-four hours later the green weeds from yesterday are now brown and on their way to oblivion. • @FTHRTime1
      @FTHRTime1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@smokes8759 tenacity is perfectly fine to apply at seeding, the label specifies so. So long as temps are below 90F and the grass isn’t overly stressed you should be able to make the tenacity and speedzone application mid august and do your seeding / final tenacity application on or just before Labor Day.
      Alternatively if you’re gonna do spring seeding and you know you dealt with a bunch of weeds last year then your first herbicide application should be by the end of March, then you seed / 2nd application mid April.

    Hey George, I appreciate your content because it’s super informative yet concise as to not confuse beginners. Just a couple clarifying questions from an Iowan (sorry Ryan Knorr, I’m just cheap).
    Could you use baby shampoo as a cost effective surfactant in stead of the product used in the video? Just curious if the product you used will be more effective because it’s meant to be diluted with other herbicides.
    Also you’re applying a full treatment to the entire lawn correct, not spot treating? Figured spot treatment would be done a couple months later as to give the lawn time to recover.
    Lastly, when would you recommend starting fertilizer applications for the lawn that remains after the weeds are dying off? Just wondering so as not to hit the weeds with herbicide to kill then provide them a lifeline with fertilizer to help them bounce back.
    Thanks in advance!

    • @PrincessCutLawnCare
      @PrincessCutLawnCare  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks a lot Trevor!
      yes you can use baby shampoo but i would personally swap that for regular ol' generic dollar store dish soap, its more concentrated and will have better surfactant properties.
      And yes in this video we did a blanket spray across the whole lawn.
      As for the fertilizer, you can apply anytime before, during or after your application. Personally i would apply it about a week BEFORE your herbicide application, reason being is weeds dye faster and more effectively when the are rigorously growing. The fertilizer will boost there growth resulting in better herbicide uptake.
      Hope i was able to help!

    I learned quit a bit from your video. I am going to pick up the things that you suggested. I don't know what's going on with the weeds this year I live in Massachusetts. I have weeds coming up through brick pavers that I use for my walkway also an area underneath my second level deck area and all through my lawn I have Clover and other weeds. It's getting late in our season here but it looks terrible. Same with my garden area I have a beautiful garden that is about 40 ft long x 15 ft wide.. people that walk by my house always commented on how beautiful my God was. This year I was having a problem with my swimming pool that took up a lot of my time and a shoulder injury. I'm in my sixties and I'm getting kind of worn out LOL but there's nothing better than looking at your finished product with Pride. Thanks again I'm going to see if I can subscribe to your Channel.

    I've been enjoying your videos the past couple weeks waiting for my Minnesota lawn to wake up. Moved into this place late last fall. Backyard dominated by creeping Charlie, did a huge soil top dress and smothered a bit of it. It's starting to creep towards my freshly germinated perennial ryegrass. Will be using tenacity and speed zone in a month or so when the grass is slightly older.
