finding a solid mechaninc is like finding a good barber. When you find them you stick with them for life but theyre few and far between and this goes fgor most trades nowdays.
@dean-543 thanks I really would like to see him try. If he could get it to work off the back he could just turn around go grab a tool. He could do jobs in the rain as well.
The challenge with that would be that the vehicle would always have to be behind or next to his van to use it. Much of the time that just wouldn't be an option, specially for disabled vehicles in public/apartment parking lots.
Love your channel. We love you all the way in Oregon my brother. I was so happy to see jack stands. Got to be safe for your family. Awesome work as always Parker!! Keep it up my brother. Love the new “whip” your mechanic truck looks super nice. Take care and as always Respect Salute!!
I remember changing the water pump in my 77 monte carlo back in the 90s. Once the fan & shroud were pulled, I had enough room to stand in between the engine and radiator to work. I miss big, simple cars.
Helped the old man pull the leaking radiator on his 1959 Chevy Biscayne work car with the straight 6. You could see plenty of the driveway on both sides of the engine. No a/c, no power steering and 3 on the tree. Took us 10 minutes to pull it and him being a sheet metal mechanic he repaired the leak himself. 30 minutes later it was all put back together.
Some vehicles are still simple. I changed the water pump on my 2005 Chevy Silverado. I thought it was going to be a nightmare but once I got to do it, it really wasn't that bad. And I'm not a very smart person. There's some repairs that can be done by the car owner. You just have to be patient.
When I worked for Subaru at the dealer my foreman always yelled at me for being honest. Any repair he scolded me for not writing up cars for every flush

Good, honest mechanic. Good job and relaying of information to the customer. The customer , comes across as a decent, engaging and trusting young lady. Nice video.
Really enjoyed your videos and professionalism. I wish you could come to Southwest Missouri. Some local shop did a lousy job on my daughter's Subaru Forester. Took it in for a small pin hole leak on the oil cooler pipe/hose. They said she needed a timing belt kit change. Her car ran so smooth and strong. Until they so called worked on it. Charged around $1300 and said the engine ceased. Left the reservoir dry, drive belts off, and more we took video of. Never fixed the leak but added some copper color radiator stop leak. Missouri truly needs a B.A.R Bureau of Automotive Repair like in California. Because Missouri's attorney general office does Nothing to help!
You definitely gotta be a really faithful man to do this type job. Going around to these fine ladies houses. Not saying their all the same but some will definitely give that Thang up quick

Interesting. I’ve owned Volkswagens for 35 years and I’ve never had to replace a radiator. I’m in Australia so I don’t know if that makes a difference. I’ve had 3 cars that have done over 420,000 kilometres as well. My wife currently has a 2014 Golf 110 Tdi diesel wagon with near 300,000 kilometres on it.
I owned a VW Jetta, which had problem after problem until it was totaled in a collision. Then I bought a Toyota Corolla, which has never had any issues.

Top Tip of the day, when you are buying a part for your car at the auto shop take the old part with you to check it is the same, the number of times I've got home and discovered the part doesn't fit, they change spec on cars 2-3 times a year so rads, starters, alternators etc sometimes have slightly different fittings, bolt holes and lugs slightly different etc, save a lot of hassle, sometimes they even have the same part number but are not exactly the same,
Matthew brother, love what you're doing. I just want to say don't ever trust a hydraulic jack while you're under a car. I saw you climbing under with one jack stand on one side and the jack on the other.

You could put a retractable awning on your truck and use that instead of canopy. Would'nt have to go far for tools either. Might work good.
