From one fan to another - these are three great bands. I might add Jucifer and Godflesh to that list. That said, sometimes it's not what we say, but how we say it that matters. It's a fine art to be able to speak our minds without overselling our position. Sabbath, Sleep, and Acid King just have vibes that are interesting and special. We need more of this. Let's both do out parts in that endeavor.

I grew up in Chicago, Rogers Park. Went to Busse Woods a handful of times back in the day for some daytime outings, a frequent summertime birthday haunt for some white trash friends and in laws of my aunts. Usual stuff: grilling, water balloons, Old Style beer and Cadillac cigarettes. You betcha they’d all tell stories about some sacrificial ceremonies on certain nights of the year out there, amongst other urban tales. The coincidence of it all is what’s cool to me - to have personal familiarity with the place although I didn’t know about the tale of the Acid King, or this band until I was well into my 30s. Good times.
