Above 350 bhp those plastic inlet plenums melt and collapse . Also you might want to replace the oil filter housing and fix that whistling mouse under the bonnet by fitting an aftermarket recirculation valve .
Hi Ben, Mechanic tip for you on the reason nuts are seizing. If you use a wire wheel on a die grinder or angle grinder to clean the threads up before putting WD40 on they will come off.
It's great to see the mk2 rs filtering into the vids it helps people like me prepare for parts that are now starting to wear out 👍👍

Had them checked and they are structurally sound. Don’t have the time or budget to make them look any better mate. Got to have a line with some of these projects otherwise you’ll never stop

an induction coil heater could save a lot of headache, its a good buy if you're working on rusty bolts. much more convenient and more direct heat into the metal than a torch, makes it easy. love the vids!
That previous exhaust looked more like it was meant for the ST Mk2, looked pants either way, that Scorpion exhaust is lush - epic work, and as always love the bants 😆

It's good that you show the reality of auto repair, that even the simpler jobs can take hours because of rust weld!
Too many make it look too easy, and that's not the case, even working on newer vehicles.

Ben if a nut look really rusty get a small drill bit 3-4mmish and drill a couple of holes through the nut then cut through the rest with a chisel.

Maybe think of getting some drill wire brushes and get cleaning all the shit off the nuts, bolts and threads before dousing everything in WD. Always found it helps a lot

Awesome video as usual Ben, glad to see you giving things a try you should buy yourself a gas blow torch or a handheld induction heater or both they will come in handy with the rusty motor's you work on 😭😭 plus I don't think you needed a new lambda sensor just a blanking plug it will be mapped out when you get your tune sorted 👍

Id recommend keeping the mountune decat over the scorpion but class vid as per usual
Hope the quality was OK on your scorpion. I got a downpipe from then last year, turned up missing the scorpion tag and the downpipe was full of swarf. Contacted them, terrible customer service, asked me to send it back to them for them to weld the plate on st my expense. I asked for them to collect it and drop off a replacement but they went radio silent. In the groups I am in I won't recommend them.
Anyway, car is coming along nicely, good work 👍. Nice to see your real and adopted dad there as well 😁

When Evil GT did the mk3 FRS I was gutted I didn’t win it so I robbed a bank 2 years later and got one
What I wanna know is do the lads prefer the mk2 or the mk3 , I like the way the mk3 handles
The way the MK2 looks and sounds is miles better in my opinion but the Mk3 drives better 👍🏼

@@EVILGT I do have a mountune mk2 mr375 residuals are just in favour with mountune tuning . Although 420 Collins will transform it. When I went mr375 from the mp350 the car came alive and was next level. Good effort on bringing this car around enjoying the updates.
