Pau did this as a challenge to herself. She asked fans on Instagram what song she should do, chose this one, and posted this video a few hours later. Hours, as in not days and weeks of practice - mere hours. She is amazing, as are her sisters. Grown men have cried on camera, reacting to this.

I also got this "there must be something in my eyes" moment when Pau did this.
I mean, Creep is one of my all time favourites, especially when i'm feeling sad.
If this happens i turn it on loud. I mean VERY LOUD. I also stopped hearing it in my car while feeling sad because i cought myself getting faster and faster multiple times (which is allowed on many german highways). So to prevent an accident i stopped doing this.
And now comes Pau, this tiny little full blood musician monster, and is doing THIS.
I got totally calm, just listened to her and it feels like i just want to sit here forever while she is doing this.
I mean, they're all together very special musicians but for me Pau is on another level.
And its all the same, Piano, Drums or singing, her doing music always touches me inside.
And i'm not a teenager dreaming of his favourite Rock Star.
I could be their grandfather (witch is a little annoying because i'm feeling very old now).

She recorded this on their piano at home with her cell phone. Also, if you don't know the rock group The Warning, this is their drummer, and a damn good one.
The genius of Pau. The ability of these sisters to connect with the audience is simply amazing. I think this comes from their authentic and genuine connection to the music itself. Their emotive ability and empathy when performing is just brilliant. Tears are common listening to this from Pau. Find Dany singing My Future by Billy Eilish on piano…just beautiful.

Your face throughout the video says it all. I don't even like that song but Pau's version brings me to tears. Especially the line near the end where she says, "What the hell am I doing here?" and goes strong on "hell am I" but light on "here." Perfection. I recommend you watch Pau singing "Black Holes" and "Show Me the Light." Those will choke you up as well.
Yes!! The TedTalk are actually two different sessions from two different years. Both TedTalks had three different songs. There are also different versions of each talk where some has all the talk in between the songs other just the songs one by one…

A lot of people are recommending Black Holes. Honestly, I can't even watch her perform that song. It's too real. It's too gut wrenching. She is such a gifted song writer, and when she performs that song it's impossible not to believe every word.
Thanks, I have heard Pau's amazing rendition more than a few times and I always love it. You reminded me how I felt the first time I heard it.
A great reaction to an emotional song. The Warning sisters have an amazing habit of making their covers better than the originals. A fine example of that is their cover of the Foo Fighters' Everlong from a performance at their school. This was done in 2015 or 2016. You can actually understand the lyrics and Pau was killing it on the drums.
For emotional kick, do Stalker from the Lunario concert...Dany gets really into the character...almost scary.

Pau singing "black holes" at the dakota bar & "the end" at lunario.
My favourite cover of "Creep" eclipsing the Post Modern Jukebox with Haley Reinhardt only because,it's just Pau at the piano and no full band backing. But it's those burnt vocals of hers that get me,and then she can easily switch it,to more softer dulcit tones - she's the best. Ooops,before I forget,check out "Black Holes" by The Warning,very similar in style to this,with Pau on piano and vocals again (But with Dany and Ale assisting),there's a couple of good versions from the Dakota Bar,recorded a year apart if memory serves me right
This video, I love it. The first time I saw it, I started out kinda meh and within a couple minutes, I was enthralled. All the girls play piano and I'd love to see more like this from them.

I recomend Shattered Heart at the Dakota Bar. The 2020 Whisky performance has some interesting aspects, like crowd interaction, but the song is just plain played more true-to-form at The Dakota Bar. Dany was on fire that night. At The Whisky, they hadn't played the song in a LONG time, and some of the lines were nuanced in a way as to take from their glorious original melody. Please, do not do The Whisky 2020 version first. I don't know how else to describe what I'm what I'm getting at. I love The Warning; like family. There was just a certain, for lack of a better way to put it, oversell in some of the presentation that night. Shattered Heart was a casualty of said. Black Holes, The End (both Pau), Choke, Martirio, Crimson Queen, Stalker (Dany) -- I don't particularly like that song precisely because of Dany's bravura performance selling it; it's just plain scary, but it looks like you like that kind of thing. You can go back even earlier with Pau, with Fade Away and Escape the Mind (the Liceo performance -- this was a concert they did at their school the morning of the last day of classes in 2015). Survive (split lead between Dany and Pau) is just plain about the most fun song I've heard, and XXI Century Blood (title track of their first album) is also advanced beyond their years. Other songs from Queen of the Murder Scene: Dull Knives, Queen of the Murder Scene (title track), Red Hands Never Fade, and Sinister Smiles are classic rockers, P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. is cheerleader punk (when you listen to it it will be obvious).
Why don't I just save time and write "everything".
Are most of these songs on The Warning's TH-cam Channel or are there some good "Fan Channels" I should sub to to get extra Live Shows? And yes, "everything" is a valid answer as that's what I'm planning to watch. ;)
@@PandoraPlaysMusic QoTMS had full performances at Lunario and IIRC Foro Didi, on their channel. They also played at the Dakota Bar with good souund. I haven't checked further down the comments; often Salty Showers stops by with his excellent discography.

Pau is a genius of our times: she is a drummer, a singer (also at the same time!!), a song-writer, plays the piano, and she always put 200% of herself in every single second of every performance

Pau is just a genius, savant type of person. We're lucky she choose music. She can be whatever she wants; astrophysic, actress, painter, leader of the free world, etc. But my favorite is Danny, cuz she's the true rocker, the frontwoman, the force of nature! Ale, well, she's to me like Yayoi Yukino: ethereal.

If you like Pau (and who doesn’t - she’s a genius), it’s time for you to start looking at Queen of the Murder Scene. Their live shows are better than the studio IMO. if you go down that path, I’d recommend starting with “Dust to Dust” live at Lunario CDMX. It’s the first song on the album and features Pau singing lead and playing drums. One of my favorite performances.
Had to come back and share this too because it is right there in parity with Pau in how it effects me.

I'm late to the party but this deserves repeating -- AFAIK, Pau had never sung this song before. She held an Instagram contest where fans picked a song for her to sing and this was the winner. She spent a few hours learning the chords, creating the arrangement and then recorded it on her iPhone. The end result was simply amazing! Pau often gets overlooked because she's usually hidden behind a drum kit but her songwriting and singing skills are exceptional.

Pau is a gem. She and her sisters love their fans and little performance like this are why we love them. Pau is the primary song writer and starts most on the piano then Dany and Ale join in to help finish the song. Here is a great song from their first album XXI Century Blood and in this Pau plays the keyboard while Ale and Dany back her up on their respective instruments.
