I was disappointed in the pc performance but 1080p for 60fps on current gen consoles is insane, Unbound and Gran Turismo 7 are both 4k 60 (GT7 also has 4k 120 capability), and to me personally TDU doesn't really look that much better than either of them to warrant dropping the resolution to 1080p. Also kinda wish there was a open beta or demo of sorts for console since Console Stores doesn't really allow for refunds in the way Steam does, for example on PlayStation as soon as you download the game you can no longer request a refund unless it's a special case like with Cyberpunk 2077 on launch.
It is not 4k. You forgot console use chekerboard scaling. Only pc is capable of native 4k. With chekkerboard it is between 1080p and 1440p or even lower

tried the beta on my "4K system" (I got three PCs in my home) and I needed DLSS performance with frame gen to get the game working properly. Ryzen 7600, 32 GB 6000 Mhz and 4080 Super. What i'm reasoning is, the game has been in development for years, but the 4080S can't handle it? Horizon 5 runs flawless at 4K with 120 fps limit, just for comparison.

Dude, that's the interior of the regular FXX K, not the Evo. (At least the steering wheel). Anyone can see that within 10 seconds of research on google / youtube (I only play in cockpit view so I noticed it right away but I've done a lot of research just to make sure before commenting) (And you can also see in other games like Grid Legends or Forza). Why are they labeling it the Evo / promoting it as the Evo here? Did they just slap the spoiler on and called it a day? (And are using the old interior?) I hope the steering wheel is a placeholder or something. (Unless they scanned an interim model between the two that actually had this wheel or something but I doubt it...). And I'm super excited for the game and preordered the gold edition and will be playing tomorrow, but this disappointed me a bit
You know what I'd love if the game let you treat the cars a little bit like it is in real life, for example, tire wear based on usage, car service requirements, etc. And for people who are hoping they may get a refund if they dont likenit , think carefully as thenPSN policy states, you may knly getnrefund if you haven't diwnloaded the game. @@suavgodXbox return policy is different to PS, Xbox will always grant a refund as long as you have not spent a significant amount of time playing the game and not earned a lot of achievements. PS don't offer refunds as soon as you finish downloading it to your console that's it no refund.

I think I’ll be getting this on the PS5. A 4070 just to run the game in 4K with decent graphics seems a bit excessive to me. I’m playing Assetto Corsa at the same resolution with a GTX 1080 at 60fps. I’ve played the two original Test Drive and I loved them, but I think that I’ll wait a bit to buy this one.

I played this game on pc in the closed beta and am hopeful for the game, but a 4090 and a 7900x? This is absolutely absurd, they said that optimisation will be done after the beta, clearly not it seems.
So my computer is: Ryzen 5500 - around the recommended spec. 32GB RAM - plenty SSD - 2TB boot drive + 4TB SATA drive, both are very nice and responsive Video: RTX 2060 Super 8G, that's the same chip and RAM as the recommended 2080, but with 2176 pipes enabled instead of 2944, so 73% of performance, so instead of 60Hz target at 1080p with DLSS Balanced i would be getting... 44fps? That's a little sub par. I do hope it performs at least a little better. So the internal render resolution in 1080p balanced is 626p. The monitor is 1440p VRR and the Performance profile has internal render resolution of 720p; ultra performance the miserable 480p. Pity no step in between. Well, compromises, compromises. Logitech Driving Force GT isn't supported :(
I'm so confused by TDUSC!... One minute I see gameplay footage and I think it looks massively underwhelming and not competitive against the other driving games I already have. The next minute... You get drops like this!!... Where the game looks pretty damn good and I am excited for its release again! 😂
I got a 3060 ti and can play Forza horizon 5 and the crew motorfest in 60 fps in 4k. Native for Forza and upscaled but still good looking on the crew. My pc can’t keep 60 fps on this game in 1920 x 1080 which is a very low resolution and everything looks blurry. I have never seen a giant leep in optimization for games 1 months before launch. I’m afraid it’s almost dead on arrival even though I really hope it isn’t. We need more good racers .
I wish people wouldn’t compare this with the highest budget racing games on the market all the time. TDU was never a high budget triple a title. It’s always been a kinda janky quirky cult classic.

It’s likely as the beta is based on the steam pc demo, but with updated physics and stuff, as it isn’t the full launch build, that’s why it’s the 30fps cap

That´s an heavy Engine with low optimizations...other open world racing games, like FH for example, requires 1/4 or 1/3 of the specs to run at the same res @60fps...and none of those specs even talk about above 60 fps performance...Be they will drag the optimization banner for years to come. In comparison my pc runs FH5 at 4k@120fps+, the only beta i got a key for TDUSC i could barely run it at 1080 @90, think it was avg 70ish.

There is ranked races, so region locking helps with issues of ping, however it should only be in ranked in my Opinion and freroam and other races should be unlocked

@@JakubixIsHere system requirements are the same as the demo. No1 complain for the demo was optimization. Some YT struggle even on low settings. Region lock means that I can't play with anyone from USA or Australia. in my case that is 99% of friends who will buy SC.

You can change FOV, it’ll be at launch but it’ll go more in depth in an update added post launch.

I’m pretty sure I heard people being able to get SteamDeck running on TDUSC for the demo but I could be confusing it. Maybe it’s one of those where it’s not ‘officially supported’ but it kinda works lol

Region lock means that I can't play with anyone from USA or Australia. in my case that is 99% of friends who will buy SC.
