Even though I’m vegetarian, I was still able to find the most delicious food there. I thought some of the meat dishes looks so intensely creative LOL but we truly enjoyed trying such good food from kind people in Thailand, of course I have to go learn how to cook some of this food before I leave Thailand ^_^
There is lots of veg food in Pai. It's so good to see some familiar faces of the vendors. Enjoy the tranquility of Pai. There is a couple that makes some amazing veg rice wraps there in Pai. Did you make it to Art in Chai or the Vegan Temple? You two came ready to eat! This is the way to explore good eats. Chok dee = Good Luck
@@agentbey I was veryyy surprised to see all the yummy vegetarian food! we made it to art in chai, but not the vegan temple. how was the vegan temple by the way ? Are you also vegetarian? We ate very little during the day to prepare, so we came ready to explore good eats for sure! Kapunka 🙏🏾
@@namastechelseaa The vegan temple food is tasty. It's best to go there morning and for lunch. The people there are very friendly. I am 100% plant based. Lived in Pai several times. Looking forward to returning. Not sure how many businesses survived the pandemic. I made friends with several of the Thai business owners. The community there is very nice. Did you two make it to EarthTone?
There are other gems in Pai but if your stay is short you won't have a chance to explore.

Black sticky rice with sesame in Thai local people call “Khao Pook Nga” only have in northern of Thailand and only have in winter season. Some areas cooked with brown sugar or honey. Hope you have a nice experience in Thailand. 🥰

The tea was suchhhhh a cool concept, but had so much sugarrrr so we couldn't drink it, the other tea in the clay pot had zero sugar and was so much better!

I’m so happy you enjoyed your time in Pai. In Thailand, life and food happens on the streets. Traditional homes aren’t spacious, so we embrace whatever opportunity to hang out in the streets, and of course wherever we go we want to enjoy the foods we like, hence the variety you’ll on street vendors.

That spirit pub has Kratom price 100 thai baht written on the board. Kratom water is like another thai version of local natural energy drink if i am not wrong, and it has been legalised for sometime.
Yes I noticed they were selling Kratom leaves and drink everywhere. The pot that was boiling on the fire, both are kratom but I didn't try it, I had some ginger tea instead.

@@namastechelseaa No, no cooking class. But I did eat my weight in all of the coconut milk based foods. As someone who should avoid dairy, I was so appreciative of that fact!
@@YouCanCallMeChrys YES! I felt the same way about the coconut milk; usually its tough to enjoy food. We have to get extra creative and tip toe around the food lol, but it seems the thai cuisine caters to a dairy free palette!
