I think a big problem today is people seeking to "find love" instead of finding stability. Stability will bring love. You need to look for a partner that will help you establish a stable life for the both of you, helping out each other, and adding flavor to each other's life, and the love will develope over time. Of course there should be some basic chemistry to begin with but "looking for love" is kind of wasting a lot of precious time and energy that doesn't guarantee you anything.

@@Smolpantherbeby well, it depends, if you're well off, upper middle class type and above, you're correct (in some cases but not all), but for the vast majority of people a partner is an essential need to go through life, we are not that sophisticated, we need someone to be at our side, even just to share our feelings and emotions, we need a shoulder to cry on, we find purpose and fulfilling in making our spouses happy, in providing and nurturing a partner, even as little as making a cup of coffee or preparing a good lunch/dinner.
As a 19 year old girl, I feel like I'm blessed to be able to watch this kinds of content, such informative and inspiring. Wonderful discussion. I agree that the uncertainties of love (e.g., being cheated after spending a considerable amount of time with a person) can be scary. Reciprocation is beautiful, but sometimes we don't always get what we want. One thing I realized is that it's important to share love not because we're expecting to receive love in return, but because we love the person. Even if one day, things would not work out, it's comforting to know we loved truly without conditions. It's beautiful to know that a person has a genuine interest.

I love the sound of walking on the leaves and snow and walking into inviting paths in the woods. I need to feel confident and secure with my wellbeing and then I can continue with what makes me feel good about the life I have, on my own. It's still filled with love and caring for others. Some people are just not going to be able to have the classic intimate relationship with another person, yet we must still continue on with our lives and we can still have love.
As I have gotten older, I have learned to just live life. Uncertainty is not to be feared. My life has turned out nothing like what I could have imagined it or wanted it to be when I was in my twenties. Too many random twists and turns have led to a happy life. Much more interesting than if I had planned it out. More than money and success, it is the relationships along the way that make life worth living.
I think you can only truly love someone else and be loved by someone else if you truly love yourself first and foremost. Your warm socks of wisdom help me get there on those cold winter days of doubt.

Hi Lana, I’ve never commented on a TH-cam video before but just had to say thank you for sharing this video. This is a topic that has sat in my mind on a constant daily basis for too long (previously I was in a 9 year relationship) I’m about to turn 29 and constantly let my mind worry about if or when I will find my life partner. It has got to stop. You are so right in that we take for granted all of the ‘other’ forms of love, like every second we are blessed to spend with family members because we’re so preoccupied with ourselves, your family and friends are more important and precious than any potential partner you’re looking to find. We already have so much love and happiness in out lives that means more to us than we could ever wish for. You only live once, spend the time with the people dearest to you - even if it’s sitting on the couch watching the soaps with your parents or taking a walk around your home town, appreciate that you can still do this and don’t waste another second worrying about the future, you are loved now.

Idk why I wanna write this, but this video actually makes me wanna open my heart and share... I broke up w/ my bf a couple days ago, I was sad and miss him , I admit. Nevertheless, I'm good rn. Even though he wasn't my first love relationship, I'd love to call him my first love. I define first love as the first one who brings me the feeling of being loved and protected. He did it so well, during 3 months of summer, we fell in love and it's just like a young fantasy to me. The summer ends, so as our relationship. I'm still so grateful that even though it was the last moment of our love, we chose to express all of our thoughts, feelings and be respectful to each other's. I could do the best I can, so I did. Well i would say its not just about finding appreciation for the comfortable. Ive been taking cold showers quite regularly, as i have been following the Wim Hof method. Ive noticed a huge improvement in my mood and stress levels from doing this. As a byproduct ive also come to appreciate the uncomfortable nature of the freezing cold water on the skin. That piercing cold feeling of the water is now something i appreciate and when i think back on it i enjoy the sensation. I believe the key to happiness is simply appreciation. If u can appreciate all things for what they offer, u will always be happy.
I'm constantly on the look for love, as in my person and ironically I keep moving further away from it. It's a scary feeling being alone and wondering if I'll ever find love, it's so unsettling. And I have tried to make peace with it. Trying everyday and this video was just a great reminder. So thank you Lana ❤️your videos always helps me

As I have gotten older, I have learned to just live life. Uncertainty is not to be feared. My life has turned out nothing like what I could have imagined it or wanted it to be when I was in my twenties. Too many random twists and turns have led to a happy life. Much more interesting than if I had planned it out. More than money and success, it is the relationships along the way that make life worth living.

Hi Lana, I’ve never commented on a TH-cam video before but just had to say thank you for sharing this video. This is a topic that has sat in my mind on a constant daily basis for too long (previously I was in a 9 year relationship) I’m about to turn 29 and constantly let my mind worry about if or when I will find my life partner. It has got to stop. You are so right in that we take for granted all of the ‘other’ forms of love, like every second we are blessed to spend with family members because we’re so preoccupied with ourselves, your family and friends are more important and precious than any potential partner you’re looking to find. We already have so much love and happiness in out lives that means more to us than we could ever wish for. You only live once, spend the time with the people dearest to you - even if it’s sitting on the couch watching the soaps with your parents or taking a walk around your home town, appreciate that you can still do this and don’t waste another second worrying about the future, you are loved now.

But one thing am learning is to he grateful to God for even those small thinga that I think have no meaning. I broke up w/ my bf a couple days ago, I was sad and miss him , I admit. Nevertheless, I'm good rn. Even though he wasn't my first love relationship, I'd love to call him my first love. I define first love as the first one who brings me the feeling of being loved and protected. He did it so well, during 3 months of summer, we fell in love and it's just like a young fantasy to me. The summer ends, so as our relationship. I'm still so grateful that even though it was the last moment of our love, we chose to express all of our thoughts, feelings and be respectful to each other's. I could do the best I can, so I did.
I have never learned so many things both during and after a relationship like this time, i figured out many deep facts that i didn't know about myself

I had a relatively trying day today and last two weeks, but there were somethings that were positive so I try to hold on tight to those golden life nuggets. Life is so random. Well i would say its not just about finding appreciation for the comfortable. Ive been taking cold showers quite regularly, as i have been following the Wim Hof method. Ive noticed a huge improvement in my mood and stress levels from doing this. As a byproduct ive also come to appreciate the uncomfortable nature of the freezing cold water on the skin. That piercing cold feeling of the water is now something i appreciate and when i think back on it i enjoy the sensation. I believe the key to happiness is simply appreciation. If u can appreciate all things for what they offer, u will always be happy.

The last sentences moved me bc it reminded me of a touching viral letter of someone who was dying and it also reminded me of a Pixar's animated movie called Soul. The message really was all the same, to live in the moment as cliche as it sounds and a combination of this happy pill called gratitude. I know it's not easy to attune to that emotion most esp when we feel lonely, in pain or just going through a tough time but that's actually exactly the moment that we need it the most. It's okay if it's not something that we can all force ourselves to feel but it is actually something that we need sometimes 🙂 Thank you for contents like this, a very insightful reminder to notice the little things and to savor it.

Maybe romantic love isn't the best solution for everyone's problems, but you can determine what you wait and need from the relation you can't basically depend on it, but you still need it to gain a stable happy life.
