Bruce, Bruce! I’m still watching ya! And like you I don’t get what it is with the pelicans that biff rubbish out the car window. They probably have the proverbial Aussie Flag, Southern Cross or so tat on the shoulder too. I reckon National Dickhead Day would see them out & about picking up trash. And I won’t be mean, given ‘em a blue singlet, a Bunnings Hat and maybe a Flanno if it’s cold. But for punishment, give ‘em a pair of pluggers, with one that’s half-busted….. That’ll learn them good. Oh, and your influence has inspired me: I bought a Master Plunger and hand-held pipe-cleaner on the weekend. Had a partial blockage in the shower. Quick plunge in ankle deep water and Whoa Hoa! There she goes. Pulled a small wet dog out the the gully. Living my best life…. Now I’m plunging everything in sight!

Love your video. I'm a 62 year old lady living in Higganum, Connecticut, USA. I'm the one who keeps the drains in the street at the corner of my property free of leaves and snow, so the street and my basement don't flood. None of the 30 year old neighbors think to do this. Keep up the good work.
It is a bit easier to clear drains before it rains. We have a neighbor who has a mosquito farm due to his clogged drain.

From people cleaning up yards for free to unclogging drains around the world, this is what's great about TH-cam!!! so happy that guys and gals and do great things for others while managing their own channel. Keep it up! This gives me hope!
There are channels that do house cleaning for free too, horder or similar issues. Rug cleaning for charity donations etc.
It's free for the property owner, but there is revenue to the good-deed-doer via TH-cam. This is wonderful, as it incentivizes the good deed, even if it's only nominal in some cases, it advertizes the service and creates good will.
No matter what your parents think know that we are proud of you and your service you are doing a service to the community.

Bruce, love your videos. Every time i watch, i smile. Thank you. Here in New York, we have anti litter laws that will result in a fine. But that does not stop people from littering. I am constantly picking up trash that people toss out of their cars. I have seen them toss out trash on the ground, when a trash bin is nearby. I understand your frustration. I don't think there is help for being stupid.

@@DrainCleaningAUSTRALIA next time when you go out going un clogging drains fore free purchase, a push boom to sweep off all of the debris from the great and if you get a blocked drain call and if it’s inside the building, if it’s the kitchen when the water gets all of the place on the floor, purchase a squeegee in the shop vac to suck up the remaining water that’s on the floor
I hate seeing garbage on the ground too…it really bugs me! I wish people would just care about the environment more! it’s too bad…
Another problem with not properly throwing away trash/rubbish is that it makes more work for lawn maintenance workers who sometimes have to pick up trash before they can mow the lawn for instance. Spent many an hour picking up after people so I could just do my job.

Lawn mowers are generally flat rate per yard, with cost quoted based on size.

It's truly amazing how quickly that huge puddle drained once you cleaned out the drain a little.

I'm a bricky by trade but did some work for a plumber 30 odd years ago, unblocking and finding leaks. Definitely satisfying to hear the water flowing
Recommended out of the blue for this. I've been on a right random TH-cam rabbit hole tonight and followed all kinds of recommendations. Never seen anything like this before. Totally agree with you about rubbish. We did a rubbish collection at school in the early 80s, just a small section of land by the school and pretty much every one of us remembered it decades on. We found a shocking lot then and that's long before the extremely disposable attitude of the last thirty years. Love what you do 💖

Love your enthusiasm! Watching your channel brings back memories of clearing the drain with my dad in front of my childhood home. So satisfying! When my own son was a child, we would spend hours draining the big puddles that formed around our parking area. It was so much FUN. He loved digging a small trench through the raised edge of the dirt holding back the water and watching it drain. We had some good lessons about the power of water and how something so simple could alter the landscape.

I enjoy all the content from fixing sinks to clearing drains. It's, also, cool to see you are human when it comes to clearing urinals. Hi Bruce! Love your videos. I (age 75) clean out my neighbor's storm drains in their driveway (luckily, not trash, just leaves, etc.) (they have problems doing it) whenever I'm out. And when walking pick up the trash and cans. I got a proper trash spear and it made life much easier; doubles as a walking stick:). I've even cleaned out a couple of street grates during a flash flood a few yrs ago. You are right; no one saw me and no one knows it (but you now) but it's very satisfying for some reason. Back when I was in high school/college working on the family almond orchard during the summer and winter breaks, one of the things we'd regularly have to do is pump out the fields that had gotten flooded and it was definitely one of my favorite things to do. You get to play around with hydrodynamics and manipulate really powerful forces like gravity, mass, and flow rates, so I totally understand how this is something that is just fun and interesting for you. Don't know if I'd make it into a career but I totally get where you're coming from Brucie

I agree with having the national day for litterbugs, people don't think it's a big deal, but all it takes is that one errant bottle or bag to clog up a drain and make a big problem out of something small. Still, that whirlpool makes it worth it sometimes.

I am a wastewater operator and i have lost count of the times i have cleaned rubbish
off the surface of storm drains that were blocked up. So I totally understand you where you are coming from on that. I too, find it satisfying when the whirlpool begins..lol
Plastic bags, bottles and wrappers are not the problem. People are the problem. Same with guns and car crashes. It's all a demonstration of how stupid people are. Thank you for what you do and I'm glad you really enjoy it so much.

I was brought up to take my rubbish with me until i found a bin or went home. I pass this onto my children and grandchildren. I hate to see rubbish lying about
It's one of the simplest things you can teach children. To put their litter in the bin. But it translates so widely into how they behave towards others, how they become members of society and ultimately the society they become members of.
The Australian Post 10! Love it! A potato rake(3 or 4 prongs) works wonders vs a shovel for clearing the grates.
around 10 years ago in my own street in front of my house 5 consecutive drains were blocked with leaves/blossom and one lane was completely under water. I cleaned all of the drains and about 10 minutes later the street was clear again. Playing with water is fun and i did not need to get paid to enjoy that, felt very accomplished just by doing it.
