Where songs from The Dark Side of. The Moon are concerned, you're far better served by listening to the entire album in one reaction. It all flows together so amazingly, as it was designed to do. Please do a full album review. You'll be glad you did!
Pink Floyd Dark side of the Moon! One of the best selling albums of all time! Right behind AC/DC back in black #2 and Michael Jackson's Thriller #1 I'm surprised you guy's are just getting around to it now! It's one of those concept albums that define concept album's! A true master piece that needs to be listened to in It's entirety to appreciate the magnitude of It's genius! Love your take! You guy's rock
It's about making someone the enemy. Regular folk like you and me, when turned into an enemy, we/they become a threat that must be eliminated. Not only in war, but in everyday life. It's the "divide and conquer" rule. Yet another masterpice from Flyod.
Beautiful song about war. David Gilmour has a remarkable voice, his art of playing the guitar is beyond remarkable. You seem to have an appreciation of PF, and I in return appreciate that! Thank you. The whole Dark side of the Moon is an experience you should try sometime.
Great insightful reaction, You're right in your assessment the only thing I would bring to your attention is, the structure of the song also follows the 'Us and Them', the 'With and Without' message, effectively 'Ying and Yang' which the song structure follows to suit; The Verses are mellow, soothing and relaxing to be replaced by the aggressive, powerful, triumphant chorus? Always two sides and two ways of seeing and hearing everything.
I liked your comments about soldiers going into battle. Indians troops played such a large and important part in Europe in both the Great War and the SecondWorld War. And in Burmah against the Japanese in the 2nd. Officers led from the front of course, and high percentages died; but the dictators and politicians at the back were not on the front line.
Most people don’t know that this album was engineered by none other than Alan Parsons himself. Hard to believe this was issued in 1973! Sounds even better on CD played in a low lit room.
Another great reaction to Floyd! I highly recommend watching this: PINK FLOYD - The Dark Side Of The Moon 2003 Documentary HD th-cam.com/video/jUBnS5G34IM/w-d-xo.html
Listening to one song from Dark Side of the Moon is like reading one chapter from a great novel...it may be a very good chapter but you are missing the whole point.
Issues such as blind obedience to some overlord leads to insanity, such as the other themes lead to insanity. The whole point seems to be all that leads us to the "dark side of the moon", where the lunatic is really on the path.
Roger Waters (the lyricist) said about this song: "The first verse is about going to war, how in the front line we don’t get much chance to communicate with each another, because someone else has decided that we shouldn’t. I was always taken with those stories of ‘the First Christmas’ in 1914, when [the soldiers] all wandered out into no-man’s land, had a cigarette, shook hands and then carried on the next day … The second verse is about civil liberties, racism and colour prejudice. The last verse is about passing a tramp in the street and not helping.”
Another great reaction. I'm really enjoying your channel, and would love to see you react to "Your Possible Pasts" by Pink Floyd. Also, "In the Company of Wolves" by Incubus :)

Man, Us and Them is such a damn good song. It's always been one of my favorites from the entire Floyd catalogue.
Gorgeous multi-tracking of his vocals by Gilmour, singing harmony with himself.
Pink Floyd has been part of my being for five decades now, and still today each song is a banquet as fresh today as when it was created.
The word "EPIC" always comes to mind when I hear this track ...
What great saxophone riffs.

¡¡Monstruos!! ¡¡Lo más grande!!
Roger Water's lyrics usually have a theme about humanity and empathy towards our fellow mankind.
This song is no exception to that.
Masterpiece, great to listen to and relax. Just brilliant
Greatest band of all time. Period.
Reminds me of a BBC show called the Bhudda of Suburbia. A mate introduces this song to his friend.
Dogs - Pink Floyd

I love how Kirti really got the meaning of this one! While Savio was just sitting back amazed and “relaxed” 😆. Awesome job!

If Kirti played in a band, she would be a drummer
