The 2021 Nissan Rogue Has the Nicest Interior in its Segment

- Beth and I review the interior in the all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue. This one is an SL Premium FWD trim, which is the second-highest trim and has an as-tested price of $35,195. With class-exclusive features like tri-zone climate control and rear window sunshades, the Rogue already stands out from the crowd. Then it adds in great infotainment, nicely upgraded materials in most places plus lots of space and storage, and you get an interior that's currently best-in-class in my opinion. Going for the Platinum trim gives even nicer features like digital gauges, a big head-up display and quilted seats. The only miss in the Rogue interior is no height adjustment on the passenger seat and no ventilated seat option. Otherwise it's fantastic. What do you think of the 2021 Rogue interior? @@MattMaranMotoring Yes, this Nissan has so much potential. Such a shame that there is no optional engine (such as the 2.0T from the Altima), and that they continue to put the CVT into too many vehicles. However, as it is available, there are much better options, such as the CX-5 turbo, and the upcoming Tucson.

Actually newest Nissans are so good in all areas.
We recently tested the Rav Limited and Rogue SL Premium and couldn't agree more. The Rogue has MUCH better seats, space, tech, and equipment for the same money.
At least the infotainment graphics don't look like they are from 2013... looking at you toyota.
Wow good on Nissan for stepping up to the plate on this interior. Well done for sure. Overall I might be drawn to some other entries in this segment, but this is definitely impressive.
To be clear the inside is tied IMHO with the Mazda CX-5. which has been classy and luxurious inside for years.

Credit where it's due. Nissan can make good stuff when they choose to. This is a big improvement from what I've seen here. Also it's funny when Beth gets snarky lol.
I am still waiting for the good stuff to come from them. They made a nice interior, but the driving dynamics will fall short.

The only problem I have with the platinum is missing ventilated seats led interior lights and led tale lights/ break lights.
I do have to tell you the sound is amazing
I hope in the future they implement the wireless Android auto as well ventilated seats led across the board and for current 2021 owners like me they upgrade the firmware to enable it. Also they should just turn the shifter to a nice leather knob.

I saw my first 2021 Rogue today it was White SL not sure if saw another I have truly falling in love with this car. I love Nissan, Toyota and Ford trucks. It looks better than most crossovers one thing some options were deleted as home link garage door opener and orange ambient lighting overall great in the competition. Rogue doesn't look like an economical car anymore it looks more like top of the line crossover in a luxury brand.

Would be suprised if no one has said this before in the comments, but please try to use adjectives other than 'nice' or 'really nice', variety is key especially for car review channels! There are plently of other words you can use, especially when describing a car interior/exterior. Keep up the good work 👍
I agree, that’s been one of the things I’ve always tried to improve, along with my “um”s and “you know”s. I still need work obviously.

great review Beth and Matt, im a recent subscriber i enjoy your vids! mostly nice redesign. I agree that new interior is gorgeous! the sides and rear hatch look classy yet slightly rugged. the front end though looks terrible. I wish theyd taken some cues from the new armada refresh. Having driven a 2016 rogue for a few years I am really saddened to see CVT again with the underwhelming 2.5L 4cyl as the only option💔

Main reason to get this is because your credit score can't get you a Honda CRV or Toyota RAV4. Shit, even a Ford Escape is a better bet in this segment. Might as well throw in a Forester too.

I don't like touchscreen tilted towards driver, just my two cents. Funny about comments of Beth saying seat is too high on all the vehicles. Agree, shifter does look cheap. That is neat that there is a thermostat in the back seat.

Have you tried pushing the central Hvac/ Infotainment screen I went to the dealership and could hear the plastic squishing even in the new altama

One of my friends just got a 2019 Rouge SL and I wasn't comfortable in that passenger seat especially when I first got in. Seemed too firm also and not enough adjustment.
Add a hybrid and wireless Android auto and I'd buy it

It's a shame really. Nissan makes nicely appointed cars for the money, but their powertrains just don't cut it. Their engines are underpowered & transmissions weak. Obviously there are some exceptions (370Z, GT-R, Titan...)

Stupid detail.. the tach goes from 0 (zero) to 2.. then 2-3-4 etc in the same distance on the gauge. If its an accurate tachometer.. it would move at a different speed/ratio from 0-2, than from 2 on. But its a Nissan, so i'm sure it does not.
In other news Corvette C8 sales were catastrophic. 2453 C8s sold vs 5788 in the last full quarter of the C7. A 60% PLUNGE. GM planned to sell 40,000 C8s in 2020, but that will take 4 years. The C8 will be cancelled at a sub 10K cars/year pace. Look for a 50% OFF fire sale soon.

Front seats are garbage in the rogue...the stitching on the back are causing issues with them. If you look at them close you will see the way they are designed makes little side pockets that push into your back making them very uncomfortable. I work at a Nissan dealership and hear it all the time. I was going to buy until I drive it for a while. If you have any kind of back issues stay away from piece of crap.

It HAS too have a nice interior because the engine and transmission are JUNK!! The cvt transmissions fall apart and Nissan wont honor warranty on them without A law suit. I have owned A new 2010 and 2015 never again both cvt transmission went to crap quick. Had to sue Nissan too get them to honor warranty on a transmission they knew allready was flawed but sold anyways!! DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE THERE JUNK!!
