    Just purchased a 2021 rogue. With 181hp. Then found out the 2022 3cyl has 200 hp is that a significant difference. Should I replace the 21 with the 22. Or is it negligible? Thank you.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It all depends on how you drive. If you’re training for NASCAR then you’ll always want more horsepower. However if you just drive your car like most folks and stay within a few miles per hour of the speed limit then you’ll probably never know the difference. Check out the Torque numbers for both engines. Torque is where you’re going to notice “off the line” power like pulling away from a stop light or the oomph you get when you floor it and merge onto a highway or pass a slower vehicle. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching

    I’m really hoping you can help me! I have my text messages set up for driver only viewing on my 2021 Nissan Rogue. The alert only comes up on my dashboard. When the alert comes up it gives me and option to choose read so I push the ok button from my steering wheel but nothing happens. When it’s not in driver only mode it will read my messages through my stereo. What am I doing wrong?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. The owners manual is not much help on this topic so here are 2 thoughts here I have.
      1. It will not read aloud as it is set for driver viewing only, Nissan figures you want privacy and reading it aloud would wreck that so it only lets you view it(that way no one else can see or hear it). Or 2. The volume (under drivers profile) is turned to zero. Try raising the volume right after you click listen.
      I know it’s weird that the option to listen appears when you have it set to the driver profile, (and then it doesn’t allow you to listen anyways) but I’m guessing that’s just an glitch in the system. Wish I could give you a more concrete answer but that’s the best I can do for now. Thanks for watching!

    Excellent overview, thanks!
    Pls upload a video on manual update. I have rental Rogue which I drove without any issues at first. In a couple of days, it started to show “new updates ready” message. After I clicked update the infotainment center started randomly reboot it self all the time.
    I have seen people was going to Nissan dealer for several times (from being ignored, mislead on the issue, to replacing entire infotainment center). They end up going to court to get some compensation for the unsolved issue.
    One post was that a guy manually updated the map update using portable usb drive (the update about 60 MB) and the issue was solved- no more random rebooting!

      Thanks for the question. First, depending on the model Rogue you get, wireless Apple CarPlay may or may not be available. Second, if it is available you should be able to hook your phone up either via bluetooth or the built in wifi network, once that's done for the first time you should get a message asking if you want to use apple carplay, click yes, and that's about it. I just recently purchased a Rogue. One difference I noticed between it and my previous vehicle which was a 2016 Altima. In the Altima if I got a text message it automatically sent a I'm Driving reply. In this Rogue I noticed that I have to actually select that option and send the message myself. Is there something in the settings that I can change?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question. Not sure what type of phone your using, but at least on an iPhone, you sometimes have to tweak the phones settings. So if you have an iPhone, click on Bluetooth settings, then look for the name of your car in the list that appears. Next click the “I” that appears in a blue circle of to the right of your cars name. That should open up a menu and that should be where you can allow the phone to use the cars system for texting instead of the way your doing it now. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    Great channel guys, I've watched a ton of your vidz.
    I've narrowed my 2021 choices to the; Rogue, Rav4, CRV, and the CX5.
    But now I'm stuck.
    - While the CX5 has the best body, the infotainment system sucks.
    - The CRV seems like the obvious choice, but its ugly.
    - The RAV4 is a top rival, but the infotainment system sucks, and its ugly.
    - The Rogue is what I want, but I'm concerned about spending $45K on a simple vehicle, when I could get a used Lexus for the same price.
    Information constipation is what I have right now, do you have any advice?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL...information constipation...lol I like that. You know, before we started this channel I liked specific vehicles. Now Im in the same boat as you. The more vehicles we drive the more they all seem to blend together. What we've found is that there is no perfect vehicle as far as we see it. The best we've found so far is many are 9/10ths with all the safety and tech that we'd want but none are 10/10ths, even the Bentley Bentayga was lacking! So, as for your question...go test drive them all and compare. It will be a gut and seat of your pants feeling that tells you, "yeah, I think this one is worth $400 bucks a month". I personally have my favorite brands and so does Nathan, but again, neither of those brands offers us everything that we'd want to be able to call the vehicle "perfect". Thanks for watching our videos and we appreciate you taking the time to ask us a question. Gook Luck on your search!!

      @@fadeelmohammed460 I sold my 2018 CRV good car especially the Honda sense. I just got the Rogue Platinum two days ago. Far more comfortable and infotainment is great. Really nice car but there are flaws. The wireless CarPlay doesn’t seem to work and the dealer doesn’t even know how to do this. The blindspot is ok. The FCW does seem to work either. I have yet to receive a chime when I get really close to cars. Honda sense is far better than Nissan pro pilot. But the CRV was boring the rogue is more fun to drive. But if you can wait a few months a new CRV Is suppose to come out soon. I don’t remember exactly google it. To be honest if your going to buy Toyota wins in dependability and longevity.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok. So here is my best guess at this question. It won’t work. There are multiple reasons but chiefly amongst them are 2 that stick out. 1. Traffic Sign Recognition is not a universal language as each country has differently shaped and colored signs. 2. The existing TSR in your vehicle was designed many years ago even though the vehicle is new. This system of TSR was not designed to learn as much as we would like. Interesting here that Europe has a treaty signed and designed to address just this issue, but it’s countries do not include Germany. Here is the info on that: Vienna Convention on Road Signs and Signals, is a multilateral treaty designed to increase road safety and aid international road traffic by standardising the signing system for road traffic (road signs, traffic lights and road markings) in use internationally. Hopefully more manufacturers start to design TSR systems that will be able to learn. Hope that’s helpful, I know it doesn’t solve your issue, but hopefully it sheds some light on why. Although it does not have built in navigation, you can use Apple CarPlay or android auto to display almost any navigation app you have on your phone, through the infotainment screen. Thanks for watching!

    What i do not like from this keyless/Lockless gas fuel door is the safety from vandals. A person can just go to your car in the parking lot and push in a water bottle and put some water in your gas tank. There should be a feature where you can lock the gas door.

      Capless fuel tanks have a special cover over the line that leads to the tank and it’s designed to only fit a gas hose nosel or the special tube that comes with the car helping to prevent issues like you mentioned. However it’s not perfect and someone with the right knowledge could use just such a funnel and dump water in anyway. That being said there are a lot of aftermarket capless tank locks that can be put in there to alleviate any such possibilities. Thanks for watching!

      Sounds more like a neighborhood problem rather than a design flaw.

    Missed a bunch without detailed explanation for each menu item. We all can read the screen, but what each item does? You missed Vehicle Settings all together, and never went to locking and other subitems.

    Yeah , huge display but doesn't have GPS , 2021 model , full of useless crap .😒

      Why pay for GPS from the Brand Mfg when you can use Apple CarPlay of Google Android to use the navigation that you have on your phone? I can guarantee you Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc are far easier to use and updated with more frequency and functionality than a proprietary system from a Brand Mfg would be.
