Agree! The most legit and on point. But 10k of the right people who really connect with what they are talking about, seems better than 100k idly scrolling! This might sound a bit gatekeepe-y, but there's probably an amount of snowboarding you need to go through to really appreciate this content, and I wonder how many k of those there are? Meaningful micro influence to that group probably translates into more board sales than broader but shallower influence...

I just got back from riding 2 weeks in Argentina, at Las Leñas, and the 2025 Aeronaut smashed the shit out of the place. Definitely the fastest guy on the mountain in every condition from, icy groomers, upper mountain freshies, couple feet of Pow, mid mountain chunder, and bombed out spring slush. The Aeronaut did no wrong. None. I also rode the 2024 Orca a bunch, which was surfy and fun to carve, but was slightly heavy…maybe it was the bent metals, debating putting some falcors on that to see if it lightens it up a little. Taking both to Japan in January.

I started snowboarding in 1988, and always bought new equipment every year. Bought the 161 Surfari 2 seasons ago. Paired it with Atlas bindings. And cannot find a reason to try anything else right now. It ruined my "quiver" the board is forgiving for casual cruising yet crushes the groomers when you get aggressive. Absorbs crud and chop like a champ. My groomer and pow boards are gathering dust now.

Can I ask for some sizing advice on the Capita BSBOD? I am 187 cm tall ~6’2” and wear a US10-10.5, I weigh 82-83 kg ~180-185 pounds.
I mostly just carve around at the resort and hit whatever pockets of untouched snow and whatever side hits, drops, and natural lips I can find. And of course the park a bit, but never the rails or boxes.
What size should I go for. Seems like I should go for the 162. But I guess the 159 should work as well (?).

I can offer a peer experience: I'm on a 2021 version of BSOD and quite close to your height/weight (188cm, 78kg, us 11,5). I have a 161w and my riding style is quite close to what you describe. So I would go for 162 or 161w in your shoes. And if you enjoyed 162 Stratos, I'd definately go for similar size on BSOD based on my experiences with Jones boards. Maybe even lean towards 161w for better carving performance and float.

It’s interesting to hear YOU define freeride to include on-piste. I’m not arguing, but definitions are shifting! It seems like powder boards shifted this segment towards all mountain. I’m curious if Freecarve will push it back? Will it just be hard charging?
It’s also refreshing to hear that you guys push the bindings back on the board, and not just for pow. I’ve always felt like I was doing a disservice to the board designer/engineer.
