Can I ask for some sizing advice on the Capita BSBOD? I am 187 cm tall ~6’2” and wear a US10-10.5, I weigh 82-83 kg ~180-185 pounds. I mostly just carve around at the resort and hit whatever pockets of untouched snow and whatever side hits, drops, and natural lips I can find. I can offer a peer experience: I'm on a 2021 version of BSOD and quite close to your height/weight (188cm, 78kg, us 11,5). I have a 161w and my riding style is quite close to what you describe. So I would go for 162 or 161w in your shoes. And if you enjoyed 162 Stratos, I'd definately go for similar size on BSOD based on my experiences with Jones boards. Maybe even lean towards 161w for better carving performance and float.
I would love to see a dedicate video for narrow waist board. I have 7.5us men's/64kg and is really hard to find boards for all mountain and freeride sometimes
Hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. Transition Finder 57 vs 60? 190 lbs, 6ft tall, size 10.5 boot riding mostly at Snowbird. Would the 160 feel too cumbersome? Much appreciated
It’s interesting to hear YOU define freeride to include on-piste. I’m not arguing, but definitions are shifting! It seems like powder boards shifted this segment towards all mountain. I’m curious if Freecarve will push it back? Will it just be hard charging? It’s also refreshing to hear that you guys push the bindings back on the board, and not just for pow. I’ve always felt like I was doing a disservice to the board designer/engineer.
By the way. Great Show. My favorite.. just overtook the Angry Snowboarder ;-). I have a lot of Boards... If i have to go down to one. It would be the one: Bataleon Camel Two. Try that! ❤

Just got the Korua TF 160. Its a beast. 278mm waist. US size 12s 190lbs and 6,3 so should be fun. Interested to see how the china manufactured board runs. Have you guys tried the 160?
Let me know how you like the 160! I’m basically the same specs as you and wish I had scooped the 160 over the 157, or maybe a plus model. Still really enjoy the 157, but it doesn’t spring out of a carve well with my specs
Will let you know. Just got the board delivered yesterday. Its a big boy. Looks huge in the flesh. Heavy too. That jump in width aint no joke. KORUA recommend the 160 for me so went with it. Pairing it with flux xf bindings. Can't wait to make some trenches! @Scliff
i've ridden EVERY korua extensively, why transition finder over cafe racer or pin tonic? tranni finder is the least freeride for me out of all except otto
Good question - we lean the Cafe to more carving or banked slalom ,...and the Pintonic is a fav of the guides we know around here who ride 95% deep pow .....T-Finder falls into the middle of that!
I've been riding a Lib Tech Stump Ape (157) for the past few seasons and am looking for a nice transition to something else now that the Stump Ape is gone for 2025. I'm 6'2", 215lbs, 12 boots, and intermediate to advanced up at Whistler Blackcomb...not too much park, but sometimes, and all over the mountains most days. A few suggestions?
koruas are so wide you could get a standard size otto which would handle freestyle stuff a little better (compared to the t finder) but if you like volume shifted boards i personally think that Ride's Pig line does it really really well.

@@markmorrison7342 I was thinking in get a capita aeronaut and was debating between 153cm(247cm waist) or 155cm (250cm waist) what do you think?
Hoping you guys could point me in the right direction. Transition Finder 57 vs 60? 190 lbs, 6ft tall, size 10.5 boot riding mostly at Snowbird. Would the 160 feel too cumbersome? Much appreciated
Base this decision on what percentage of Pow riding vs " on piste" Runs with variable conditions. You fit either but that would be the deciding point!
Don’t forget these guys ride at Whitewater which is basically lift serviced free riding especially on a pow day.
ON-Piste here as we are in the Kootenays and are pretty spoiled with snowfall!
By the way. Great Show. My favorite.. just overtook the Angry Snowboarder ;-). I have a lot of Boards... If i have to go down to one. It would be the one: Bataleon Camel Two. Try that! ❤
Thanks for the support! Hoping they send us a few boards this season!
@@tributeboardshop they should ;-)
Hey guys, thanks for the sharing!!💪 How about 24/25 Storm chaser🙏? I am that close on ordering one🤣🤣.
I am about 178cm, 92kg, the board will be using on JAPOW🏂 next year.
Really looking forward for you guys comments🙏🙏
@@sunyiutung3874 you cant go wring with that shape if its ON in japan!! Do it !
those Johan olafsson pro models were killer
Great video ! What about hometown hero 2025 ? Why gril master ? I have the feeling that these board are now the same ?
@@FONGLI44 the Grill beats the home town partly because of that nose shape and how it enters a pow turn ! They are close tho , we agree
@@tributeboardshop thanks a lot for the feedback ! You do a great job 👏🏼 please continue, the success is coming (I mean the digital one, because your shop is already awesome !)
Can you guys compare the Mega Death and the BSOD? Confused as to the major differences in how these ride.

Hello guys 🙌🏻 first thing super nice video … now I need two board hehe 😅
I’m thinking about Capita Bsod or Yes Pyl Uninc but idk. which one will be better ( mean size )
My spec.
187cm
80kg
10.5 UK boots
If I choose Yes - 159cm or 161cm?
If I chose Capita 157W or 161W will be better?😅
Btw. waiting for next episode.
Best for You Guys 🙏🏻
Just got the Korua TF 160. Its a beast. 278mm waist. US size 12s 190lbs and 6,3 so should be fun. Interested to see how the china manufactured board runs. Have you guys tried the 160?
Let me know how you like the 160! I’m basically the same specs as you and wish I had scooped the 160 over the 157, or maybe a plus model.
Still really enjoy the 157, but it doesn’t spring out of a carve well with my specs
Also bought it as my more “playful” quiver board, while I have a PYL for freeride charging
Will let you know. Just got the board delivered yesterday. Its a big boy. Looks huge in the flesh. Heavy too. That jump in width aint no joke. KORUA recommend the 160 for me so went with it. Pairing it with flux xf bindings. Can't wait to make some trenches! @Scliff
I got sold on a ns shapeshifter on impulse. Wish i got the korua or bsod 😩
@@teighandoughty1573 sell it :) there is always time !
i've ridden EVERY korua extensively, why transition finder over cafe racer or pin tonic? tranni finder is the least freeride for me out of all except otto
Good question - we lean the Cafe to more carving or banked slalom ,...and the Pintonic is a fav of the guides we know around here who ride 95% deep pow .....T-Finder falls into the middle of that!
Hi, curious about your thoughts on pencil and dart. Wanted to have a korua board for powder and carving.
libtech is making cam rock boards this year.
I want to buy like 6 snowboards this season, this is not good 😂
(+2) K2 Alchemist
The TF+ does not have Titanal. The only metal koruas are the CR+ and bullet train. and they use Titanium, not titanal
@@efist694 Thank you so much...I'll take a look at those options...much appreciated!
Can you please review the new Salonmon Assassin Pro ?! Please and thank you
On this channel we focus on snowboard brands - there are others that have reviewed that model! Cheers man!
@tributeboardshop but you had a board designer from K2 on one show.
@@toddschell4461 this comes up a lot - we had K2 in the mix as they were on the ground floor so to speak back in the 80's - but yes we see the irony there ! they really did believe in snowboarding from the very early days, unlike other brand that jumped on once they knew we were not going anywhere! plus , we feel J-Stone is a very important individual in the snowboard community and have massive respect for what he has contributed in way of board design!
Hi there,
Why not korua pencil or drat but TF?
yeah it's weird
@@user-gi3ey2tu4u pencil would have been #7 but the t.finders big ol nose started to win the team over in powder ! Its also the best selling in store so that moves the needle when we decide ….
Are Ride Snowboards not big in Canada?
They are big in my rotation. I have 3 of them.
@@maness2112 same. i never seen anyone in canada riding them. theyre all capita and korua
@@maness2112 which ones? I have mtnpig, deep fake, and shadowban
Oh we ride them, it is kinda funny I live in Revy and can pick out the Kootenay riders by boards a mile away. Warpig is a very popular Revy board, my friend in Nelson says he can spot us Revy guys by our shorter boards and the brands we ride. Lots of DWD here as well.
The cut of that lib tech board is dope af.
So you kiiiiiinda defined freeride, so what's all-mountain??
Also would help if you actually said what the boards ARE as you pull them up instead of 'oh this one....THIS one! Yada yada...'
All MTN is the previous video.
And they’re oldhead snowboarders not professional TH-camrs, that’s why there’s titles at the intro of every board
All mountain doesn’t seem like it needs an explanation really.
On a load of other reviews you talked up the Kazu but it didn’t make this list?
its in the all mountain episode!
Transition Finder vs. Pin Tonic?
pin tonic ofc, transition finder is together with otto the least freeride they have
How about a Top 5 Powder snowboards for 2025
We have a good Discussion with Jeff on that topic -

Yall said you’d take the 156 over the 160 for the hovercraft 2.0
Is that a downsize or do you fit into that weight range? The size chart shows my weight in 160, I’m wondering if I should rock the 156 instead
Thats where we are suppose to fit - sometimes we size up but not in the Hovercraft!
@@tributeboardshop Are there huge differences for the hovercraft/flagship/stratos? They all seem kinda like the same board with different shapes. The hovercraft made this list and the stratos made the all mountain list, but the reviews of them sound super similar. Thanks!!
