Love this video. Same method here in Niagara Region. But we have two stream recycling. We use split rear packs for garbage and organics. Same for recycling. Garbage only goes every second week. A side loader does organics and diapers the other week. We don't allow plastic bags in our green bins. They get tagged and left behind. I used to dump those green bins all day.
@@TruckMaster642 you’d think they would use a rear loader for the compost 1 because it can pack tons more and 2 it would most likely be easier for them to do
I’m in Ottawa, I work for miller waste and here we use single stream rear pack for garbage and 60/40 spilt rear packs for Organics, tin and fibre. Garbage only goes every 2 weeks here too. Unfortunately no side loads
Nice video! Town of Newmarket Ontario, jeez I thought Toronto’s Compost was contaminated, here looks the same with the plastic bags people use instead of the certified bags. I get these towns most likely allow residents to put there food waste in plastic bags but still contaminates the final product. Nice to see some Canadian trucks! Keep it up!
I wish I could say sometimes my area has, but I guess it’s good the don’t, you get a bag of recycling rejected if they see a plastic bottle in with the paper, couple weeks ago, our green cart got tagged for having grass in it and we also got tagged for having two black color bags out instead of the only one your allowed
The City of Toronto has a system in their program to remove plastic bags from green waste. Smaller municipalities may not be able to afford it so they require certified bags to make it easier
