- As you'll notice, Im creating a series of different categories of videos which Im planning to upload, including kerbside cleanup. Especially with the cleanup, I find it a good excuse for uploading continuous videos and then by compiling all the videos into a series especially due to the success of popularity of the bulk waste captures.
Its been a while since I've caught up with these awesome guys on cleanup, as it has been different guys during previous weeks, who dont let me film because of the boss, which a lot of the garbo youtubers on here (including myself) have taken a dislike to. (refer to my short 40 second video of the ex randwick truck where he is the driver).
Anyways hope you enjoy the video and I will be doing my best over the coming weeks to continue with this series of videos :)

Those guys Hussle. I remember being a volunteer garbage man for a day when I was young. Didn't like getting up at 2:30 am but was fun for a day. Those guys do a good job and should make a great wage.

At least in South Carolina, it's illegal to dispose of "white goods", like that laundry machine in landfills. Also, everyday, lots of perfectly good items that others could use gets busted up in the back of the garbage truck, and then pulverized at the landfill. It's very sad. I have a theory that that's at least one thing that leads to greed and inflation. Goodwill says, "Don't Dump, Donate!"
The big garbage here requires a specialized vehicle. You guys did a great job, congratulations on your health
2:50 that washer still looked good, as well as that 3:42 Dyson stick vacuum and these 3:46 fans, if not for repair they could go for parts. It's such a WASTE of money! I'm sad, because I would give'em 2nd life instead of destroying em.. 😥

If he was there he’d be there looking through all that before they get there.
He’s see things what people throw out and he’d take it home.

Plenty of scrap. Mike the Scavenger or scrap and pallet man would love it on the kerb wherever that is.
It is a shame that more of this is not recycled instead of going to a landfill. All of the metal items are recyclable at the minimum.

In Norway they'd turn up in a box wagon, load up and take it back to the recycling centre were useables are considered for the reuse shop, timber and metal sorted out, electricals crated for proper recycling. Chucking all that in a compactor is such a waste and an enviromental crime.

@@who_is_marcus yes i do, apparently cleanaway is taking over some sectors and veolia the others, like st georges river/bayside, cleanaway is taking over. and here in campbelltown veolia is set to take over

@@who_is_marcus cleanaway will take over in the st george/bayside region, and essentially renew the entire fleet, so the old trucks, even the spaks, will be sent elsewhere as spares. the same thing happens with veolia i think, theres no clarity on it just yet but i think all the trucks will be euro6, but as said not entirely sure, what i do know is that the old MkIVs here now, like the S31, S32 and S34 will not be reused and sent for scrap.
Im amazed that 1)nothing is recycled and 2) no scrappers pickup up the metal items. An appliance wouldnt be at the curb 10 minutes here in canada and we have to sort literally everything. Furniture is not picked up , you must deliver it to the landfill where it is shredded, not buried. Almost nothing goes in the actual landfill here. Most of the true"garbage" is burned for heat and to produce electricityand almost everything else is recycled or goes to a composting facility
