Myles Kerr @gringotegra has been pushing the limits with his record-setting Acura Integra for 18 years, and it all started on the STREETS! You might know the Integra from videos on our channel over the years, but now we’re diving into the man behind the build!
In these videos we're shining a spotlight on some of the most influential racers, builders, tuners, and innovators in our industry. We're passionate about telling stories like these because they remind us why we fell in love with cars in the first place. It's the dedication, the late nights in the garage, and the relentless pursuit of perfecting our builds that drives us all. These stories are what drive our passion, and we hope they inspire yours too. From everyone at TRC, we hope you enjoy this one!
Thank you Javier and Romeo and the TRC crew for this. It’s pretty emotional to be honest. Appreciate all the positive comments 😢😊
Thank you for being you. I've been a fan of yours for a couple years and this mini-doc really solidified why. I remember screaming in bed at 4am watching your win at tx2k on youtube (woke up my roommates lol). I think it's how your car personifies you and vise versa: audacious, humble, and underdogs. Can't wait to see what you do next
I’m building my first 2j motor and I love your passion that’s what it is all about!!
I think we can all agree that we love an underdog story and you definitely bring that with the interga. One major reason I watch tx2k, wcf, or even built my own 4 cylinders to run against v8’s is to show that these small motors can pack a punch 🥊.
Man what a journey. Congratulations and thanks for sharing
Salute brother
It's always been funny seeing Miles in the rolls at TX2K, you have monster Lambos, GT-R's, Vipers, 911's, then Miles in the Integra ripping 200+
Had to pause the video on my phone, because I wanna go home and watch this on the tv with some chips and dip and a beer. Movie time
52 mins of just great documentary about miles I seriously love that integra and miles is such a stand up type of guy!
We Dominicans 🇩🇴 accept Myles as one of our own.
I can't agree with you more definitely one of us 💪🏾🇩🇴
I hate when they call it the Dominican thou and the music era Musica cuban why not play some Perico Ripiao when showing our country Coñaso
@@Reypure207 They probably just don't know any better. It's not to be insulting or on purpose. No excuse, a little research could fix that but I don't think it's to be rude.
K LO K tigureeeee
@@gringotegra Traquilo mi hermano. Me alegra que eres de nosotros 😁
Myles is a legend.
facts
4 banger struggles are real. That's what makes them so great.
How can you not love Myles. His Honda is a monster!
Adding the historical clips is f****** amazing. ❤
Myles has taught me so much, and he doesn't even know it! If you get into Hondas now, start a turbo build for example, and go to the honda-tech forum to learn, you will come across so many gringotegra posts from the early 2000's, as he documented everything he went through. So many times I had questions, and there he was with the answer, in a post from 15-20 years ago. What intake works well for x hp, what turbo with this or that setup, what fuel to run with this much power and compression, etc etc... Much love, Myles!
This is awesome! Those forums are our handbook🤟🏾
@@jprokk87 damn right. All the TikTok/FB car kids don't even know they exist half the time, which explains a lot of the misinformation and nonsense.
As a DSM guy, we had DSMTuners, DSMTalk, etc.
Hondas had Honda-Tech.
LS F Body Guys had LS1 Tech.
Good stuff man.
I have always rooted for miles every time I see him race
This dude is a walking legend! Started the video and i couldn’t stop… i remember watching the history of the DC2 over the years, but to see it all in one video is wild. That DC2 is the GOAT!!
Javier, new shirt idea; “Tiene Nitro?” 😂
Awesome video man.
For YEARS I’ve LOVED the GringoTegra and Myles is Such a COOL , NOT your run of the mill kind of Drag Racer. Glad FINALLY got the ENTIRE Back story. Him and SpeedFactory make US Honda O.G.’s / Boys PROUD !!!!!
I love the evolution story of the car and the build, years of work and figuring it out instead of just buying something already built. The car means alot more to him, and his fans knowing the whole story.
Myles is a true person and one of the Koolest Kats around. Great content about a true original.
Man, what a cool interview of the car’s life for the last 20 years. Highly enjoyed watching 💪
What first got my attention was when he beat that Viper in the 1/2 and still FWD. Been following him ever since. Dude is passionate about what he does and I find him to be a real inspiration. This was a great interview about a great journey. Can't wait to see what he does next.
Man. That video 1320 did and called it “The Integra That Could!” I’ll never forget about that video and still one of my favorite videos recorded by them. Myles is the only guy who made me love Integras much more than ever. ❤
I remember that car when it was N/A at PIR late night drags, raced him a couple times 15 rears ago. Had a red 91 si hatch beat him twice but not a chance now go Miles.
What was the setup in the EF?
@@scubamk7gli768 It had a B18c type r and a 75 shot on slicks ran 13.1@106
@@rd91sib18zex ripper 👍 had a gsr ef with a 4.76 type r trans back in the day. Thought I was unstoppable lol
One of my favorite trc videos by far! Myles is such a humble guy. I got to grow up watching this car evolve locally and it’s always been the best representation of what a quality Honda build should and could be.
Been watching Myles for years, been an awesome journey to watch, I jumped out of my seat when he won stick shift!!!! Stick shift is some of the coolest racing period! Can't wait to see what you do next man, good luck Myles and thanks TRC for the good videos
This feature is some of the best content you have dropped TRC - props. The passion and knowledge for his car is insane. Big respect
Man, these Stories behind "The Car" is always good, just saw the vid on the orange Supra and really enjoyed that. I think it's fulfilling to know that these Racecar Owners are really just like most of us, passionate carGuys who caught the automotiveBug and overtime worked their way up to their ultimate Goals. Be it breaking records, being a part of a certain elite Club or just building/enjoying their Dream car.
Hope to see more vids like this in future, thank you Gringotegra & TRC
I enjoy these types of videos, please do more.
Very cool story. Mad respect for doing what you want and how you want for yourself. Towards the end you mention something very key, which is the sacrifices you have made to make this happen. Most people simply do not understand what it actually takes.
Love Myles! And the English Racing Team. Such great guys. Thank you for this awesome little biopic.
Myles is a fr legend, been watching him for about 10 years, so a lot of this I was kinda up to speed on. Dude's a true o.g. 👍✌️
Man I love this car. My first TX2K race I ever saw was this Integra and it blew my expectations away. Great video
I gotta give it to him he stuck with his passion of the GringoTengra and put his life into it I loved watch him at shift sector dragway roll racing and tx2k he is an undergo that never gave up and is a historical car that one day should be put in a car museum
Man, thanks for making this. Brought me back to memory lane. I grew up Eugene area in oregon and remember when his car got stolen. Didn’t realize it was this car when I saw him at woodburn a couple weeks back. But great trip down memory lane for me and the shinanigans and stupid races I got into with mine back in 05-06 era.
It’s been cool to see the progress of the car & owner over the years
So good! Back in the day racing with what you got and making it better. Crazy how much better it can get! Love it.
Amazing story, Didn't think an hour would go by so fast, Much deserved success Myles stay safe out there and keep having fun! Shout out to TRC for the excellent montage as always.
This was a Beautiful Movie! I truly miss the OG Honda-Tech. Working on cars and posting pics to help each other. It was a Great Time in those days.
That was well worth the watch. You're taking this channel places. Respect.
Best thing bout gringo? All of it.. legendary to me..i love the colour with the red sticker..chefs 😘 kiss.
This is awesome! Hate that it took me this long to finally make time to watch. Such an amazing story. keep pushing foward and paving your own path. TRC killed it!
My fav driver and car of all time. I’ve told you this before Myles and I mean it man 🫡.
This was great to watch. I remember first hearing of Myles 10+ years ago and thinking he had a badass integra. Got to meet him with the whole English crew at the 2014 DSM shootout. Really cool people!
Watched the whole documentary. Myles is a cool humble guy with great achievements in the racing game. 18 years and the Integra keeps getting better and better!
This new videos setup is crazy I'm loving it more please 🙏
It’s one thing to accomplish all these goals. Its another to share that knowledge with fellow racers. I always read comments from Myles trying to to kick knowledge to some us that need it. Myles is our Paul Walker 😊
Thanks for taking fhe time to make this and produce this high quality interview. Just wow.
after seeing this car so many times at TX2k and elsewhere, really awesome to hear the full story. Seems like a great dude overall too!
I was fan of the car and driver for many years. Seeing this video I now have a new level of respect for the sacrifice it takes to be great. Keep moving forward 🫡
Maaannnn the CFT shout out!!!
Myles and the guys from English are awesome. They know what they are doing for sure. Respect!
Really enjoyed listening to this. Brought back a lot of good memories from that era of the import scene/my early years. Thanks for sharing.
great interview. another amazing story. just a normal car racer that stepped forward and accomplished alot. really cool.
Came looking on youtube for street alpha podcast, found this, stayed for the whole video. Loved everything about it including the piano at the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That was really good. I am on my own journey as well. Lots of similarities with people who have project cars. Lots of empathy and respect Myles. 🎉
Man what a cool story!! Just something unique about us as enthusiasts. Thanks TRC
With Great Knowledge Comes Great Races 🏁
Keep up the great work and videos for us. Can't wait to see your next races. 👍🏆🏁
Man, I feel like I just took a trip down the most romantic gearhead relationship story in history. What passion! Inspiring story!
The guy is so humble. I love the fact that he stuck with the Hondas over everybody choosing what already should be a fast car and beat them all. It's easy to make a fast car faster it's hard to make a slow car fast. I just wish there was one goddamn quality racing shop in Milwaukee.
That's the exact reason I got into Honda's in the first place is because these cars aren't supposed to be doing what they're doing.
Gringo has always been my favorite since like 5/6 years ago! I had an Integra and it was amazing I miss it!
The PNW Prince of race. Great video showcasing Myles and English racing.
I enjoyed every second of this video. Such a cool story and he’s the man!!!
I’ve known the English shop. Watched Myles since 2010-2011. Loved being up there when was in navy . Has a ER Evo up there til I moved. Love seeing all the content. Seeing where the teggy is now
Another great TRC video on a crazy car and story! One of a kind 💪🏻
Gringo is gonna be a 6 sec bseries one day. I believe in it!❤
Legit street car!! Watched it cruise the strip in Long Beach WA 2023. What an awesome car
I always did love watching people make very fast 4 banger's.. I don't know why but as a kid I grew up loving smaller motors with turbo's.. Now I'm in a Coyote GT and loving that..
loved watching this!! This format of people who are influential in our sport is really fun to watch!
Guys..... This was a fucking GREAT video. I appreciate Miles going into his personal life and talking about the sacrifices that are made for this car and his pursuit. Damn good video.
Met him a number of times in person and Myles has such an aura about him funny dude too. Great shop and great people at english racing 💐
I have seen Miles a ton of times but the most memorable was last year at Long Beach during my yearly anniversary vacation. I heard this Honda blasting off the limiter and when I looked ahead I started smiling because I knew that car just from the sound 😂❤
This series is so amazing.
The best interview I’ve ever seen watched 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🍾🍾🍾🍾
Best 52mins , I remember buying my first honda & watching this car go 💯💯💯
I believe everyone has seen this car and it was such a pleasure seeing this car in person
what a legend i remember watching videos of this, amazing story behind it too! good stuff
32:00 I've always loved when he rows through the gears and clicks 5th
Yeah… was saying looks like the undercarriage wants to take the steering wheel with it
@@AutoBodyEverythingwhy do you say that?
I really enjoyed watching that mini documentary. I already liked this dude [no diddy], so to see his upcoming the entire Dominican Republic experience me being half Dominican myself. Respect to him and his team.
What a great story. Hugs from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷….
Miles is one of my biggest inspirations to making my S2000 what I want it to be. Seeing the amount of love and passion that he has in his Integra and racing in general is amazing. Thank you Gringotegra for being such an amazing person and inspiring me and many others! ❤️🙌🏽🫡
Thanks @trc love his story.. champion mentality
i like how you did this intro video very professional and cinematic is beautiful TRC. more content like this.
Dudes a living legend!!
I've got to see this car do its thing in Oregon at IPFO and man this things back half is impressive. It moves out with agusto. Your awesome Myles. If you remember I was racing the blue Kia stinger with no front bumper. You raced the GTR in the rain basically. Was a great day.
Cool car. Cool dude. Always good to see that thing, especially in person.
Hell... Yeah! Thank you Javier.
Myles, man... Theirs no one on this planet thats pushed the DC2 platform this far, this long like you have.
Congrats! And Honda-Tech, I love when people make mention of George Knighton's internet wonder... Those were good times in the early 00's... Remember RocketMotorSports, Shodan, EvansTuning, TonyT1, and God so many other's who were a crowd of knowledge to beholden from 05 thru 10, 11, 12...
Hell I remember posting something that caught the eye of one of the moderators back on the AllMotor forum that became a sticky lol (was just motor math to derive a calculated compression ratio.)
I'm Dominican and I have a 96 GSR B20b with single turbo 497HP.. Atlanta Georgia 🎉🎉
Great story, car, and owner. The production of this is fire. Let's keep going back to the old footage productions. Battle of the Imports mid-90s?
Hey Gringo... yo te vengo siguiendo desde que estabas en Republica Dominicana, esa receta que hicistes en verdad que es la mas Dura en serie B, Felicitaciones
Had a clutch installed in my EVO IX by English Racing. Myles is a solid dude!
Incredible car, owner, and story
Myles has so much passion.
Awesome Documentary!!! This is a long journey that gave us all hope to keep going!!
Nice to hear that story, I like Myles & the Gringotegra
That’s crazy. I remember watching your early turbo videos
I had the fastest Integra back in Arizona 2002! I wish I still had that car. The best
Such a humble dude Great story man! 💪
Awesome story! Thanks for sharing stuff like this TRC!
Myles is a Hero and such a kimd person🎉 and shares the love with others❤
TRC....you deserve waaaaaaaay more views.
Big fan of this car! still got my DC2 in the garage. I remember all the stuff Miles talked about on Honda-Tech which made me wanna get my Honda in the first place! ahh the good ole days. Totally agree about keeping it performance street! its why we built our cars in the first place, #Longlivegringotegra 😁
Seen this car driving around town on a few occasions so as a nobody that lives locally to English racing (15 mins away) i can say this is a true street car!
Awesome documentary, always have loved that car such a beast now i can see it goin low 7s here in the near future
