My mower was having a similar issue and your video helped take the fear out of the task. I appreciate you posting this and passing on your expertise. Take care!
I also recommend you use a fine drill bit for the main jet. The jet is a very fine hole that tends to get clogged. Cleaning this will resolve many poor running engine, warm start issues. I’ve done mine twice in the past 4 years.
I'm working on mine, hopefully u cover it all. I just had problem with the black jet. Otherwise everything else is ok. Good video, right to point instead of bullshit. Good job.😊
I was messing with the same engine on a pressure washer and the bowl was stuck open after I worked on it. I’ll have to give it a tap to see if that will help unstick it 👍🏼
Nice video. I.have the very similar model carb on my lawnboy that has a small vacuum diaphragm.device also.attached to where the autochoke link connects. What the heck is that part doing?? Lawnboy over complicated these units. Just give me a manual choke and let me cut grass vs fixing shit all the time 😅
@@smallengineguys that is the autochoke off the muffler linkage. I get that. But on this model there is also a vacuum based diaphragm on the carb ALSO connected to the choke butterfly linkage. The little black oblong unit that mounts on the carb towards the rear of the mower.
You didn't take out the main nozzle that's below the main jet that you made the special ground down screw driver for. That's what needs to be taken out, inspected and cleaned thoroughly.
So, a few decades of acid and breake clean on your skin would come to a very ...sad....end. As you said in other videos, "wear gloves" . Cancer is a bitch. Thanks for the great insight on carb rebuilding.
Watched the video and was able to clean my carburetor and now my Lawn Boy is running perfect thank you
Great to hear!

Thanks alot! Did this field strip in the drive way, 15 mins and she was purring like a kitten! Well done instructional 👍
After 15 years my Lawnboy is somewhat hard to start. I'm confident this video will help me bring it back to normal (the way it used to start and run).
Finally, a decent video!
Great video! Fixed my lawn mower right up!! Thanks!
Thank you for the video. My mower runs better than ever now. Very easy to follow along.
Thanks! Repaired my first lawnmower
Love the way you just attacked this job! Great video.
Awesome instruction. Thanks so much! Lawnboy feels strong as an ox again
Glad to help

Nice delivery style. Don't have to listen to a bunch of ums and huhs, like so many other video people. To the point and done.
I appreciate that!
Thanks, good video . Now i gotta cut the grass

What was the acid you used?
I’m assuming it was Muriatic acid.
Thank-you.

@@smallengineguyslink doesn't work?
Amazon doesn't offer the acid, so would it be sulfuric or hydrochloride acid??
I used to always wipe stuff off on my pants.
Then the wife wouldn’t let me in the house anymore.
So, I had to start using old rags.
How uncivilized…
Well done !! nice video !! do you know the part number of the autochoke kit ? Regards!

its heat activated. it shuts off the choke when the mower is hot so if you shut it off it doesnt choke upon startup again.

Exactly
I discovered mine my accident and Don't know if I put it in properly
@Spwilson18 did the mower turn back on!
You forgot the other half of the bottom jet. A light tap on counter it drops right out
the orifice tube doesn't always fall right out. also ran great. always do
@@smallengineguys came out for me. Couldn't imagine doing this professionally and not getting it out and cleaning
