Other household tasks can be done with this one (although it may take a little more time an patience vs. a gas powered higher pressure model). The other nice thing about this model is that it uses standard fittings so foam cannons, other nozzles, etc fits without buying brand specific (like Karcher) or rigging up adapters....
Sir, as a guy looking for a power washer for better car cleaning, this is the video I needed. $100-$150, ok. I was hoping to not need to buy a $350 washer. Be picking one up tomorrow now. You can put yourself in the legend catagory sir, thank you.
Good stuff. Thanks for the info. After a few seasons of trouble with my 2700 psi gas pressure washer I decided to go with a Stihl electric pressure washer. Slightly larger than what you've got here but same ballpark. I've been looking for validation in my decision to "downgrade"...in all honesty I love it...does everything I need it to around the house and is not overkill. Thanks for the great and informative video!
I have a 1900 psi pressure washer and I had some bugs on the front bumper of my car so I pressure washed them off but still had a tiny black dot which I thought was a stubborn bug or road grime so I got closer with the nozzle and bam I peeled about 2 inches of clear coat because what I thought was a bug splat was actually a rock chip. Damn it.
I have a Ryobi 3100 cvg190 and don’t get close at all. It does the job well and quickly. Not to mention its gas powered which is better for me in comparison to electrical ones.
my 3100 psi does a quick job of cleaning the car, makes terrific foam out of a foam cannon (the electric ones spit white semi pornographic puddles can never be called foam) which also agitates most of the dirt away from the car no need to pull out the bucket and wash cloths. Look ma… No Mitt! The post foam rinse is about a foot wide and cleans the car in a matter of minutes. A quick squeegee to get rid of sticking water and a final rundown with a large microfiber completes the job. It takes 15 min tops to wash entire exterior of a car. Gas pressure washers are capable of doing the vinyl siding stones, bricks, stucco, concrete in on and around home including drive ways. It’s what big boys play with.
I use the portable 1600 Ryobi electric power washer. Safe on all my cars include BMW e90 M3, VW GTi MK7, 2019 VW Tiguan SE. Haven’t tried it on my soft top 1988 560SL though. Prob won’t use it on that car though bc it’s a classic.
Bruhh, me having a 3200 psi Simpson to wash my car😂💀 I think you can use any pressure washer to wash your car tbh, I just don’t get extremely close to the paint like he does and I go faster, I keep the nozzle about 1.5ft and 3ft. Also I can use it to clean my concrete
With foam cannons being all the rage, it's important to note that GPM is way more important than PSI. GPM is how much water the pump can move. PSI can be dialed down with nozzles by looking at the orifice size and using the charts or calculators online. I have my 3100psi dialed back to about 1200psi with my nozzle sizes but it moves 2.4GPM which is fantastic. If/when I go mobile I'll be looking to a smaller electric model.

I am trying to find my place in entrepreneurship and have been entertaining the car wash industry. It's only been in my head so far lol but im sitting here with a few friends and I was trying to find the compromise between frugal and quality when purchasing a water pressure. Your video covered the essential points for me and I hadn't even thought the mobile function that's definitely a plus. Could you recommend any safe cleaning solutions to use?
I have a SunJoe SPX3001. It's priced around $180-$200. It's an electric pressure washer, 1.8GPM 2030PSI (Probably closer to 1500-1700ish). And I completely agree on the mobile side of things. It's a heavier unit and I hate crawling in the bed of the truck to get it out. I'd much rather have something smaller like this. Sure it might take an extra 2-3 mins to pressure wash a nasty vehicle. But how often do you come across those? If I owned a shop, i'd have a gas powered pressure washer, or if I simply had one for home use same thing. Why? Because gas powered can clean pavement, concrete, and houses better. I'd have all the power in the world with the correct tip and orifice size to regulate the pressure on the machine so I could get super close to the vehicle if needed. I'd have plenty of foaming power, if that's your thing. But most importantly i'd be able to pressure wash a vehicle slightly faster... and I wouldn't have to dick with electric cords. But that's only if I owned a shop. Being mobile the smaller lighter stuff that can quickly get in and out of a vehicle is king, and it always will be.
When attached to an electric washer with less than 0.5 gpm at best, what comes out is more of an ejaculate which simply dribbles down the car in matter of seconds than good quality sticky agitating foam that takes away the dirt and keeps it suspended. My 3100 psi delivers 2.7 gpm.
You missed a big part of the whole thing.... GPM GPM GPM. If you had a kranzle you would see that it take less than half the time to rinse a car down and remove the dirt and soap.... time is money and 20 extra minutes of rinsing per car for X amount of cars per year, it adds up. I’ve had a little Ryobi and now a Kranzle and it really is a better experience.
