      Incomudro 1 ounce of adams soap goes as far as an entire jug of soap like blue coral. Not only that but it isn’t high quality. It needs to be something ph balanced and good foaming.

    • @Incomudro1963
      @Incomudro1963 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@devn3813 One ounce goes as far as a jug?
      Doubtful.
      As for quality, let's not get ridiculous.
      We're washing street cars - there's only so much quality our soaps need to have.

    • @devn3813
      @devn3813 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Incomudro use both and you’ll see. I’ve been doing this for almost 5 years and it is definitely true. I even took a detailing class and we’d dump an entire jug of this shit into the buckets for one vehicle because it’s 99% water. Adams makes two soaps that are more concentrated then their normal stuff and the normal car shampoo still can do all of the vehicles you want with only a couple ounces. Ordering in bulk with 15% off I end up spending less than I would for cheap junk in an auto parts store for much better product.

    I had blue coral and used it on my old new looking car. Bought it because it was cheap. Moved up to meguires gold class and I felt like it cleaned better and it definitely smelled nicer. Recently tried expensive chemical guys snow foam. Wasn’t impressed. Just as good as any decent ph balanced car soap and in fact it didn’t remove grime as it was advertised to do. What I learned was really any decent ph balanced soap will work well. The important thing is to wash regularly and it will help keep your paint looking good. The rest is personal preference.

I also use 303 UV protectant for my plastics, rubber, and powdercoating, basically anything that fades over time. I can attest to the value of Blue Coral, as I grew up with my dad always using it (he's cheap). It's good stuff for the price, no doubt. However, I feel that comparing it to the quality of Adams is a bit unfair. Adams is more concentrated, they even direct you to mix it with water for foam cannons. I use Adams when my vehicle isn't super dirty also (I live in Grapevine), and I love the stuff. I realize this is my second comment in a row that comes across as critical. I'm just trying to add more viewpoints to your videos. I'm all over the metroplex on a daily basis, and I'd like to talk with you over lunch (or beers) sometime if you're available. PM me if you're interested Scott. I've been wanting to do some mobile detailing on the side, and I love your videos.

    What makes you want to try all these random bargain products? Love you find the golden nuggets for us, but curious how you do!

    Thanks for your channel and content Scott! Before I started watching and reading up on proper car care/detail, I would simply carry a spray bottle with water and dawn dish soap. This would be the solution I'd use to wipe off bird droppings and other such contaminants before i could wash my car. I now know there are better products (i.e., quick detailers) that I could be using. Curious: Would I be able to dilute down this Blue Coral with distilled water and "safely" use it as a quick detailer? I have a bottle of this stuff but tbh, I would rather keep using the my Gold Class. I'm looking for an alternative use for this Blue Coral. Any Advice?

    Love it. Now does the *wax" get in the way of the ceremic coating detailer spray I use after washing my car?

      STICKY40 -SX you shouldn’t use a ceramic detailer unless your car has an actual complete ceramic coating, just wasting money, an actual ceramic coating is the best thing you can do, no wax or sealant will adhere to it, would just bead off and soak into your cloth

    I know this is a dated video. But gosh darn, I love the way Scott presents this video! And you know what.......HE IS ABSOLUTELY......RIGHT! Most detailing products are hyped up so bad it's unbelievable. And the unsuspecting consumer sucks right up into it and buys the next "latest and greatest" thing out there. Sort of like the whole new GRAPHENE debate going on. Pure hype. PERIOD. Is graphene in the stuff, YEP, is it any better than a traditional coating.......NOPE! Oh boy, it's grey in color. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Excuse me folks, I am on my way to Walmart to get me 12 gallons of Blue Coral.

    Guess it's a must try now! Been using the purple power soap thanks to you and the results are undeniable. I washed a friend's truck with purple power. He said wow man it hadn't shined like that in awhile. I told him he wouldn't believe what I used even if I told him😂

      will purple power work in a foam gun and do you use it that way?

      Yes, he has a video showing PP in a foam cannon

      I've also used it in a foam cannon and it works well. The foam isn't as dramatic as other car soaps but it gets the job done just fine.

    Thanks for the videos man. It's teaching me a lot. What kind of kit should I get if I'm a hobbyist detailer that's broke? Lol
