Every single cell you have has DNA, now, when cells reproduce, the very ends o the DNA get chipped away, and cannot be replicated. And when the ends get chipped away enough, your cells cannot reproduce any more, making then die away. Now, some animals have a feature built in in which the ends DON'T get chipped away, making them not age. The problem is that if we take that DNA, we would probably get cancer, as that(or those, not so sure) animal is immune to cancer :(
