My dog had a lot of ear infections her first year, the vet kept giving her antibiotics and I'd clean her ears daily with the ear cleaner they gave me, she still kept getting them. I had someone tell me that their dog did it when it was allergy the food it was eating. I had asked the vet that and they said oh no it's not that she's just prone to get them. I changed her food a couple times trying different ones and only when I started making her food and making sure it was gluten free that's when her ear infections stopped completely. I told my vet and they said yeah that could help. Well it did help her totally get rid of them, no thanks to them because they couldn't keep charging me so much.

I truly believe all the dog food we buy from these pet stores are bad. My dogs that I had growing up eat our left overs and they never had any of these problems! If I ever have another dog they won’t be getting anything from the pet store it’s nothing but poison in my book!

    • @genv8428

@@karenglasing7809 Homemade, I make a chicken one with veggies and brown rice & also a beef one with veggies and brown rice. It's almost the exact recipe that Dr Jones has had on here before. You could look back and find it on here. I also give her calcium powder in her food and a multivitamin/probiotic/glucosamine. People think it costs more to make than to buy it already made but it really doesn't at all & it's so much more healthier for them.

    Dear Dr. Jones;
I want to give you a Bravo. You stepped out of a secure practice to follow an ideal for the sake of the little creatures whose health was your responsibility. I'm sure it hasn't come easily. No doubt you were attacked and slandered by those with whom you once associated; vet professionals as well.
You are an encouragement to many. Fully trusted as well. My hope is that you and your family will prosper more than ever. Best and warmest regards to you.

I am so grateful to have come upon this video. My little Angel Baby, a mini dachshund was suffering terribly from atopic dermatitis and ear infections. Who would have thought the two were connected! I had her to two vets, Several times. In my eyes, I was losing my baby girl. She was losing her hair, her skin was hardening, she was itching herself into frenzies, where I had to give her a Benedryl. She looked like deaths door ~ literally. She had an allergy test and it came back, she was allergic to everything, but vacations. About a month ago, I came upon this video and you mentioned, kind of in passing atopic dermatitis and my ears perked up. I immediately bought some of the Sterols & Sterolins New Roots. Dr. Jones, you saved my little girls life! Her itching has been reduced to almost nothing. Her face, ears, chest and feet hair is all growing back. Her skin is smooth! She has energy again. She is twelve years old and she acts like a puppy. I Thank God for You and all you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my little girl. Forever Grateful. xo

Hello! Years ago my sweet dog had something in her ear it was brown in color and I would clean her ears with the wipes that I bought from the pet store but it wouldn’t go away so I took her to the vet and they gave her antibiotics and it went away. It came back but it didn’t swell or become red but i never had a dr. Tell me what was wrong they tested it but said it was allergies but I think they just didn’t know what it was, just wish I knew you back then I would have driven hours for my dog to see you. I wish there were more caring and loving vets like you!

I've been to numerous vets and they just handed me some medicine and said they're prone to get ear infections. Recently I visited a pet hospital for a vaccine and the vet examined my pup but never checked my pups ears which was a mandatory thing. When I asked about natural ways of treatment the vet said she doesn't believe natural treatments work. This is in Mumbai. Though I didn't say anything I knew I have a doctor here whose natural & safe methods are always giving me the best results.

I would like to thank you for all of your natural remedies. I have a black lab who is 2.5 years old. Overall very healthy and has never been sick. She has not been her self since yesterday due to an ear problem. I have been treating it with your yeast remedies as there is brown coming out when I clean. She is not welcomed to our local vets as I have decided to no longer vaccinate her. I truly believe that natural remedies are way better than medication from the vet but am getting a little nervous. She has head tilt. Walks slowly and very discomforted. After researching I am wondering if it is an issue with the eardrum. I know you can not diagnose but at what point does this turn into an emergency? 10 hours into green tea and cider. Canestan. Scared.

Love your information! Thank you. I’d like to ask if you have heard of the product “Wondercide” for natural flea control?

Thank you! One of the livestock guardian dogs here has suffered severely 2 years including having the problem inner ear removed. : ( Then it began in the other ear. 5 vets have treated her and still struggling. Going to try some of these.

I heard that also giving your dog a warm bath with epsom salt and like 2 tablespoons of baking soda as well will pull out a lot of impurities in your pet too. I feel bad for your poor pooch. 😢

@@retro.x me too! Convinced there are other viable treatments but that most vets only know steroids and rx antifungal. Smh

Stop feeding beef. Try that, please... I adopted a Rottweiler with chronic ear infection - the shelter planned to do that surgery but I strongly requested they allow me to have him seen. I took him to a dermatology specialist vet. We did the medication compounds (twice) to address the infection. Once the infection cleared, observation identified his ear infections were directly related to beef. Please save your pup's hearing, remove beef from the diet. The dermatologist vet says beef is a high allergy item we feed to our pets. No steroids, no more meds, I clean his ears every one to two weeks, just to keep them clean, and no beef. He is infection free for two years now and has his fully functioning ears. (Dr. Lauren Pinchbeck in NY & CT) Look for a good specialist vet in your area.

This sounds very similar to what I went through with my dog. I discovered through my endless hours of research that he likely had biofilm in the ear. It can be nearly impossible to get rid of. What worked after 5 years of constant infections and meds (and holistic remedies) was a product called Zymox. It's the only thing I've ever found to address biofilm in ears. It worked and his ear healed completely. His ear skin inside was even thinning and would bleed any time I touched it, till I found that stuff.

@@jennifer5605 interesting. Zymox was one of the past rx's. May need to revisit. Have done holistic and even homeopathic. Sigh.

Great info. What causes the yeast infection in ears? Is it because some dogs. have so much hair in their ears, like my Yorkiepoo?

Your dogs groomer should be removing the fur in their ears. It definitely helps 👍🐶

My dog was at the vet last week with a painful ear that had black muck form in her canal. The vet had to sedate her to look, and they said it was yeast infection. They have plugged her ear with a gel that will dissolve over two weeks and then they will check her again. If she gets this again in the future I would like to treat her at home, she is very anxious at the vets.
If I use canestan do I need to clean out the ear each day before I reapply it? Do I use the green tea to flush the ear before reapplying the canestan? She is a toy poodle and her ears are a little hairy. Thank you for any instruction 😊
