Beautiful space. Love the church view. Getting a lot of inspiration for my balcony garden.
Thank you!!
Beautiful balcony garden, planters and pots, They are the bees knees.
Thank you!
Excellent video, have a great weekend
Thank you. Have a great weekend!!
@@ChicagoGardener Same to you
Great video! You have such a wonderful variety of flowers on both decks.
Thank you! I’m so excited for them to all start blooming.
OMG!!!!! I love your "Back Deck" Miss bonny wee lovely Chicago Gardener!!!! You have a nice swing on your back porch" too!!!! : ) I'm so in Love''' : )
So well arranged! beautiful back deck.
Thank you so much!
If that Beach Plum (Prunus maritima ?) is grafted it looks like the rootstock has decided to take over. The odds don't look good .
Interesting! I’m not sure if it is or not but that would make sense.
You have such lovely, large decks. A real treasure for a city house. I can't wait till next month's tour to it all blooming.
I would so appreciate a hydrangea video. I have one in my front yard in the ground, but I had no idea about dwarf ones! Hydrangeas are also a favorite of mine.
Do you have an elevator in your building? I hope so! I couldn't imagine having to lug all the heavy planters, bags of soil, etc. up flights of stairs! Or maybe your husband takes cares of that chore for you?
A hydrangea video will be coming soon! We don’t have any elevator, so everything comes up the stairs. I carry the more light weight things 😆
Very excited for your hydrangea video. I love hydrageas, and I do have one on the side of our house that is finally blooming. I'd like more, but there's no space. I do, however, have two pots by my front door that could accommodate some hydrangeas. The front area gets about 4 -5 hours morning sun.
Good luck with the plum tree!
You should definitely do some dwarf hydrangeas in the front pots!
I have limited space too, and it's survival of the fittest for my plants. I would say if it's not something your that attached to re-home it if you can.
I agree!! Especially for a plant that takes up this much space.
Hahaha well the plum does look like death...maybe hack it down put into a smaller pot for now?
It looks so sad 😩 I feel like I let it down!
Thanks for another great garden tour today and the deck looks beautiful. You have it so well cleaned up and tidy and beautiful plants. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I’m trying to be extra tidy this year to keep debris from getting under the deck!
Your garden is looking great. I like the idea of vertical planters. Did you consider painting your vertical containers a colour that would blend in a bit more? The white seems a bit stark.
I actually like how the white there makes the flowers pop but what I’m hoping happens is the plants fill in so much you can’t even see the planter!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you!!
Can please share link for compost maker
I’d cut all the woody stuff off and see what happens. Those are sucking energy from the bottom growth. I try extremes and my motto is Live or Die 😂. Then you will know at least if it’s worth keeping it. Lol. That is what I would do. Lol
I like that motto!!
@@ChicagoGardener works for me! Lol
Sometimes it kills me to kill plants however sometimes they simply gotta go. I don't know much about apple trees but I do know with peach trees you need to thin out about 6 inches between fruit because too many will break a limb?
It’s so hard for me to let plants go but I usually know it’s the right decision in the end!
Maybe check for pests like spider mites on your plumb tree. I think I spotted a web there.
Thank you!!
Grow a clematis on the tree.
Clematis has been in my list to add to the garden! Any favorite varieties?
