Planting My Flower Cart With All White Flowers 🤍Something Out Of The Norm for Me!

- Today I am planting up my flower cart on my front deck garden! I use it for storage but also as a way to add more vertical gardening space. Last year, I felt the planting was a bit too busy so this year I'm going in the complete opposite direction with all white flowers!

I have a boxed bed that I keep with white flowers and lambs ear in remembrance of my husky childhood dog, it’s one my favorite traditions and I love that it attracts moths to my garden! 🪴 super cute cart set up, great gardening inspiration

Aw, it's going to be a lovely white garden. Especially in moonlight! I am obsessed with that Campfire Bidens! It's so pretty. I have the "Lemonappeal vine, I didn't even realize there was a white one. I planted one last year on my balcony, and the hummingbirds loved it. This year I also planted "Bunny Tail" ornamental grass. The flowers are these super soft little white puffs. They are gorgeous. If you ever want to plant something like that, it would fit in nicely in your white garden. I planted mine in a pot along with some petunias and malvas, and calendula. and the bunnies look so sweet.

Beautiful! I container garden a lot…also in 5b Chicago. The rule of thumb with perennials, the plant needs to be good down to 2 zones below. So for us, if the plant is good down to zone 3, the plant has a better chance of surviving. I also make sure I use a frost proof outdoor planter
Yes! Only zone 3 or 4 plants stay out over winter (I’m technically in zone 6a so try to see what I can get away with 😂) and everything else goes to the garage over winter.

In a month the flower cart is going to be glorious! It's so fun trying some new plants every year. Disappointed I couldn't find Angel Wings this year. What a beautiful plant.

This is my first year growing dichondra. I am just so surprised and pleased with how quickly it spreads, fills in, and spills.
It gets so large! I know I’m going to have to be trimming a lot 😂
Moonlight Garden! just beautiful. If you can find the space add a Night Blooming Jasmine. They are so pretty in the moonlight and they smell amazing when they open at night. I did a moonlight garden a couple years ago and I just love it.

I am seed strating vinca/ periwinkles this afternoon, a perennial where I live. It enjoys full hot sun. And has prolific flowers all throughout the year.

Love the cart and the all white idea. Evey year I'm gonna do an all white garden. A friend gave me a beautiful moonflower that blooms a large white flower in the evening. However I always cave in and add color!!!! Also I'm not sure what color your morning glorys are. Most are blue but there is a white that would be perfect for your cart.
What’s funny is a got a mix seed packet of blue and white and the last two years they’ve bloomed white. I feel like this year it’ll be blue 🤣
