    Thank you so much for this video, Donny. This is exactly the kind of workout a volleyball player needs to get back into shape. Well done balanced, not overly complicated and can be done in a non-gym environment. This channel is gold.

    Hello Donny!
    i wanted to ask something about spiking.
    im 5'4 but usually when we play with friends we put the net on womens height because we are mostly short guys.
    So i wanted to ask if as long as im able to pass the net height with my hand i can spike the ball?

    • @RescueOfAnimals
      @RescueOfAnimals 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes if u can jump higher than the net off course u can but if u cant u have to excersise +how old are you if not that old u will grow taller.

      actually im 21 so growing taller is not really an option for me :D. but thanks anyway!

      Hey, I know this might be outdated but I was 5'5 before but I was a spiker for my team and used to play as an Opposite spiker for a team near my vicinity.
      The answer is yes, you can literally find ways to fight off blockers as long as you have a solid foundation in jumping and a calm mind to decide whether to smash the ball or to play it smart.
      Keep in mind though that this won't always work but as long as you do your best to secure the next point, trust me. Everything gets better.
      This comes with the fact that you make sure that you give your all when jumping because the spike's force is produced from a solid core and a proper jump. I hope this helps and I hope I could see you play one day.

      @@ilay361 With a little bit of technique, you can spike really hard even without having to have your whole arm pass the net height. Once you have trained to have high jumps, may around 15' or more, you can try outsmarting the opposing blockers through midair battles, or you could also try having fast approach that you are comfortable with so that you could get quick spikes in.
