This album was awesome as well as their next album snow capped romance. which is one of my favorite sonically engineered albums ever the drums and guitar are recorded so perfect on that album.
My high school soccer coach was a good friend of brock, the lead singer. He was The Dude on 106.5 KWHL in anchorage too haha every year for 4 years i heard this album blasting in the locker room for our home games. Shout out alaska, no place on earth like it
Do yourself a favor and listen to their album "A Snowcapped Romance" top to bottom. I found that when I was like 14 from an old motocross DVD lol. I'm 35 now and I can still listen to that whole album without skipping a song.
@@ECRthlZz it's a travesty. Norma Jean was my friends group's SHIT. So fucking good. Sirens was one of the only albums I listened to regularly in the 3 years I lived in FL.
So Brock's singing is uniquely his, I tend to get more Glassjaw vibes from him singing, but I get what you mean about the "twang". As far as recommendations for these guys End of August, Swing the Noose, Destroy the Map, Midnight Swim are some great examples of the band's overall musical style.
Only musicians to represent us forgotten in Alaska. 💔 ..besides Jewel. 🙄 And yes, was nice to be a teen when they were active. Pretty sure “Bloodwork” on the Resident Evil soundtrack finally gave them recognition. But then they left us 😢
A great band which i think passed a lot of people by for some reason. Their first couple of albums are kind of nu metal with a hardcore twist but then they evolved to sound more like a cross between Deftones and Killswitch engage. Good shit!
This band has one of THE best evolving album releases within this genre. With each album release they just got better and better and better. Sadly ego within the founding members is what caused them to be in this current standstill.
@@nearyfilums6112 You know nothing about 36CF if you think ego didn't play a part. Brock and Tim had huge creative differences throughout the whole lifetime of the band.
@@TheDeadStretch I was the guitar tech for them for 15 years, so I toured a lot and lived with them on tour busses for a long time, so I know them pretty well and I have no idea who this Tim you speak of is
Oh you were their Guitar Tech? What do ay'know I was their tour bus driver. Tim? Tim who? [Edit] Oh I guess I typed Tim instead of Steve. Tim Holt is someone else lol.
36 Crazyfists was/is one of the best bands to come out in the Nu-Metal/Metalcore era Brock has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard the only one who comes close is Daryl from Glassjaw their first two albums were top tier while I do love their new albums after Thomas Noonan left the band became less unique
I love it not only cause of 2000s, it's just better to me, raw honest energy, i cant seriously listen to most of modern metalcore and nu, it's not heavy to me
Still go back to their first album.
Quality. I hope someone requests "I'll go until my heart stops" by these guys. That's a fkn banger.
36 is the epitome of badass! They definitely got some jams that just make ya VIOLENT. 🤘
The heart and the shape, and pretty much any other song from A Snow Capped Romance are solid choices to check out. Very very underrated band.

THEIR FIRST 3/4 ALBUMS ARE AMAZING DUDE.
Every single one of their albums are amazing.
@@davewilliamson4357Agreed Time And Trauma is so underrated
@@davewilliamson4357I’m a die hard fan but their I agree with the other dudes statement.

Northern November is one my favorite songs of theirs. I love the drums on that track

Give the song "Vanish" and the video for "Also Am I" a spin. Amazing!!!!
Brock definitely has a unique voice. First 3 albums are insane.

This is my youth. The early years of Metalcore
There are NO reactions to Bloodwork on YT. Blows my mind. Everything from Alaska's finest is worth a reaction.

check out their newest album. can't believe they're breaking up right after I learned about them.
This band was definitely in my childhood playlist

destroy the map is a must
@@Nitesbane70Some of his best cleans
Oh yeah, I always thoughts the band had most of a nu metal twist on glassjaw and I dug it hard being that version of metalcore/posthardcore soundscape
Ceramic or destroy the map wooo amazing songs!!!

Mate, thats actually not true, it was an entirely different reason for the breakup, one thing about this band was ego NEVER played a part.
