Have to correct you because you had one fact backwards.. max Cavalera (singer) used to be in sepultura until late 90s. Then left to form soulfly which is still active to this day

awesome reaction i'd suggest checking out their earlier release songs like let's say Inner Self, Lobotomy or title track. Or metal bands such as : Meshuggah (Tomas Haake is really incredible drummer since you are a drummer i think you'd find the drumming of Meshuggah really unique they make songs in 4/4 time signature sound like they're not :D), Fear Factory , Type O Negative , Death (especially Human record Sean Reinert also incredible drummer but later they also had Gene Hoglan behind the kit who in my opinion is one of the best metal drummer too ) just to name a few.
I heard echoes of System Of A Down. Check out Ren. I recommend looking at The Big Push (the busking band Ren was with in Brighton), Money Game part 3, & Hi Ren. And Get some rest!
