Im not hating I have a 2000 ws6 only thing done is cats knocked out in looking to buy a procharger I live in louisville ky we only have 1/8 mile here 8.2 is fastest pass it has made
@@GuyName-rx7oo 12.3 is about right for a LT1 especially for stock gearing in the rear (Yes yes I know boosted cars really don't like tall gearing) but most of these f-body's came with 2.73-3.08 gearing. Shit I gained 3.7 tenths when I swapped to a 4.30 gear with my Moser 12 bolt and drag radials from 3.08s in my old rear which got me down to 13.0s with just intake and exhaust bolt ons. The 530 horse 383 LT4 is going in and I'm hoping for 10.9s with a built 6-speed transmission. I have 2 built up 4l60e transmissions with a 3,500 stall convertor if I ever decide to swap out the manual 6-speed down the road. But manuals are still so much fun on the street.
It’s all about heads and cam in the 90s LT1. Get better of both and watch it wake up dramatically. I have a 94 Z28 Stroker with AFR heads 195cc and TS cam. You gotta do hydro rollers, liters, and all the other necessities but she will get down. It walks off from my 14 SS LS3 at the light. Underrated motors but they are a bitch to work on.
Well the first thing I would say then is to call up efi connection and get a 24x kit for it because it makes tuning so much easier, it’s kinda pricey but worth it.
First mod I'd recommend is a 98 Camaro. I'm speaking from experience. I own a 95 and have put some money in it over the yrs. It would have been better if I started with an ls1.
@@taylorweber3811so are those weal or no? I have a stock LT1 and everything i read seems that the rear ends break easily so im always afraid of launching it. Am i overthinking it since im at stock HP/TQ ?
@@dnegel9546 mines an auto so it’s a little nicer in it, I think the 6 speed guys are the ones that have more trouble with them, more abusive driveline shock. They do have their limit with autos too tho
Just got a real ss hood. Can't wait to sand and paint it.
Mean car bro
Man i love them lt1's. Use to hate them but i was young and dumb at the time
Were getting 13.0s out of a 96 t/a with just bolts ons!!!!
This was first passed down the track, have since been 11.84 on this set up once getting it dialed in
I was about to say.....@@taylorweber3811
Do you know a shop around the wisconsin area that can install forged rods and pistons?
How is is this slow? My lt1 stick car made 340 wheel and runs 12.20
@sweetpeali6313 it’s since been 11.84 @ 115
Slow for having an 8k$ procharger
8k? Try 4500 bud lol bought it 6 years ago and that was first outing, it’s currently been 11.84 on a stock cam stock heads stock manifold lt1

I just got my 1994 z28 running what’s one of the first parts you recommend to buy
That totally depends on what your gonna do with it

You have any videos of you racing?
You can have that 1/4 i will take you at top end with ease.
I have the same color 93 z28
What suspension are you running? It sat down very well.
It’s all stock besides bmr torque arm
@taylorweber3811 that makes a good difference from what I've read and seen on TH-cam.
I’ve actually been 11.84 with it this year, this video was when I first got it together and still getting the bugs worked out
